Obsession was great BECAUSE it took risks

Let's just make that clear, they didn't have to make the main character a villain but they did, they didn't have to kill off likable characters but they did, they didn't have to center the movie around a moral that's been done to death but they did. Obsession TOOK risks and by God did they pay off, massive respect for curry baker and his massive balls👍

Why can't there be more evil main characters in movies like in Obsession?

By that I mean an evil or very flawed protagonist, main characters in fiction don't have to be likable, they don't even have to be moral they just have to be interesting. And don't tell me villain protagonists aren't interesting, getting the same morally good main character all the time is what's making me bored of movies.

Obsession deserves the hype

So I just saw "Bear and the big blue balls" aka obsession and it was terrific, it made me cringe in a good way (and I didn't even know that was possible) sure it has that trope "be careful what you wish for" but it adds just enough new elements to it that makes it unique. I like how they didn't make the guy bear an innocent guy or a complete scumbag but just a dude who wanted to believe his crush truly loves him to the point he almost becomes so pathetic it's creepy. What did you guys think of the movie? 😁
