Microsoft stock after green card news?

There was some recent news that would impact Microsoft ability to sponsor green card to many of its employees:

"The US government will not process any new or pending Permanent Labor Certification Program (PERM) applications from Microsoft or the seven other companies, Secretary of Labor Keith Sonderling said during the same conference."

Among the chain effects that this could cause(such as hiring less foreigners), could its stock be impacted?

in your opinion/experience, can you fit in at UCLA if you are not into watching sports at all?

If sports is something that you know nothing about/ are not interested in, is it possible to still find your community?

what exactly makes college kids be interested in debating people like charlie Kirk/ Nick Freitas/ etc?

I understand debating is a thing... when there is an actual goal or benefit, such presidential candidates debating.

But when these characters go to a college campus, there is no really any type of reward for a college kid to walk up to the mic and debate . Or at least I Don't see it and I would like someone to enlighten me.

No matter who's right or wrong, you are gonna get owned. And if you don't, they won't post it on social media.

So what exactly motivates college students to engage with these people?

Why can't the UW community show the most basic civility?

I was just watching Nick Freitas's video of his visit to UW. I understand that the point of debating is to disagree and exchange viewpoints. That's what happens during his visits to other university campuses. However, when he visited UW, the behavior of some students was on another level of disrespect—something I had never seen before.

Examples include:

not allowing students to speak when it was their turn

yelling and screaming

and the worst one of all:

resorting to violence

This is completely unacceptable

anyone else uses/resorts to ambient body doubling to cope with FAness?

on weekends when it's so depressing, I will just go to the library or coffee shop. Rather than being on my laptop at home, I am in a place where I'm surrounded by other people doing the same. Helps me cope.

body doubling is officially only helpful for ADHD/neurodivergence (which I am) , but honestly my main motivation is the anxiety/depression/FA aspect

is there a way to watch shows and automatically skip all the too violent stuff?

For some reason I'm unable to watch things that are too torturous / violent (examples include : neck breaking, eye hurting, decapitations, etc). I am ok with nudity stuff.

For this reason I am unable to watch stuff like The Boys which I actually like.

Is there a way to watch it and AUTOMATICALLY skip all the bad stuff?

Dai Dai is better than Waka Waka

I loved the dance. It was fun to try the "feel it, got everything you need it, now bring it like you mean it" dance steps.

Plus the kids put the event to a whole another level. It was union. It was forgetting about all the problems and divisions we are going through right now, to come together for one instant.

It truly taught me that, what broke me once, made me strong.

Does the average student carry pepper spray with them at all times?

Never been a fan of carrying any of that type of stuff, but I feel increasingly unsafe on campus and in the area, specially at night.

Does the average student carry pepper spray with them?
