Assessment - High masking female

If you’re a high masking female who did you land up going to for your Right to choose assessment?

I’ve been putting this off for years and believe it’s time I just face the reality of it all and get the assessment done. Obviously women present differently and masking is something I’m really conscious of. I’m hoping to find a provider who can see through the masking.

So far I have Problem shared as a potential option.

Any advice is welcome.

Thank you!

Recruiter Didn't call

I passed my AI Interview and the recruiter reached out to schedule a call and book in an interview with the hiring team.

I scheduled in my call and they never called.

I have sent a follow up email. Has anyone else had this?

California Offices - Mold/Musty

Hi all,

I've got asthma that's triggered by mold & damp.

For those of you based at the California sites (El Segundo, Long Beach etc.) are there issues with Mold/Musty smells in the buildings? I've got an opportunity to relocate but haven't been to those locations before so I'm unsure of what the buildings are like.

Thank you!

UK or US Practioner (Remote)

Anyone here in the UK who can recommend an excellent practitioner or I'm even happy to see someone in the US who supports patients globally.

Thank you.

Looking for hope I guess

Has anyone managed to save their marriage and rebuild trust through all this? I have a lot of health conditions that all interplay but the luteal phase amps everything up and my husband is just exhausted. His being talking about leaving, I really don't want to lose him.

There has to be a way to deal with this. I don't even realise how bad I get (my biggest issue really is that I process verbally alllllll the time, so he says he gets no time to think or just chill. I'm also so overwhelmed that I can't calm down). My ADHD is out of control during luteal and my OCD spikes although the OCD is improving daily. I have got Mast Cell activation issues so I don't really leave the house to go to an exercise class etc. due to reactions, I know this would give him a break but it's not possible right now.

I'm too scared to try SSRI's because they've always had seriously negative side effects for me in the past and I can't risk getting any worse than I am now. The last time I tried medication like that I developed the OCD so it's really not worth risking it getting worse.

I just I'm lost and I'm scared. This person is my best friend. I don't want to lose him. There has to be a way to beat this without it costing me him. I am seeing a specialist and am on all sorts of supplements to try help.

Any tips or success stories are really appreciated.

Guanfacine causing depression. Emotionally numb. Anyone else?

Anyone find that Guanfacine calmed them down and helped but made them completely emotionally flat? I thought it was just my PMDD but I realised it's been a good couple weeks of steady decline from suddenly not brushing my hair, now not brushing my teeth and weeks of not shaving. My life is pretty chaotic right now but I just feel nothing and have no motivation or will to try figure it out. I've never had a motivation issue when it came to work and basic self care but now I genuinely couldn't be bothered.

Wondering if anyone's had a similar experience?

Tampons post surgery

Anyone use tampons 2.5 weeks post surgery? I've tried pads and it's killing me.. I'm really sensitive and the pads are burning me like hell.

I ordered ones that are natural and chemical free but it's not gone well. I'd much rather just put a tampon on but am unsure if it's safe to do so.

I didn't get strict guidance on this post op either. I have emailed the specialist but likely won't hear back for a few days.

Reduction in OCD since surgery

Has anyone else seen a reduction in their OCD since surgery? It's been just over 2 weeks but the difference I've seen in my OCD is absolutely insane.

I've always been convinced my OCD is driven by inflammation as I've only had it pop up twice in my life both times when my body was highly inflamed and my health wasn't great.

Having done research on endo now knowing that I have it I can't help but wonder if anyone else saw improvements around ocd tendencies after surgery.

Maryland heights - Mold

How prevalent is mold in buildings and homes in Maryland heights/ St.Louis? Is it in the doctors office, schools etc? It's in about 90 percent of buildings where I live right now so hoping to move somewhere with a less water damaged buildings.

Thank you!

I've been on 3mg of Intuniv for a month now and at first I thought it was going well but over the past few days I feel like I hyper-focus on everything I do. I'm either feeling things intensely or nothing at all and I'm just overly present to the point that I can't remember what I've done in a day it's all a blur.

I did have surgery 2 weeks ago but that's not going to cause my hyper focusing on everything single task I do.

Has anyone had a similar experience on 3mg? I'm due to get a prescription this week and I'm thinking of emailing my psychiatrist to drop it to 2mg so I can test that for a month and see how it goes.

If you've experienced something similar or found 2mg worked well for you I'd love to hear your experience.

Thank you.
