Anyone else thinks that the increase of privacy centered products and companies is suspicious

Don't want to sound schizo, or paranoid but just think about it, like in this very recent era, companies about privacy skyrocketed in numbers. Which seems good in theory, but there has been no undermining by big tech, or government. And I know what you will say. Oh, the government right now is collecting that data with the idea of decrypting it later, you know, with those super quantum computers. I just don't trust that idea like why would they play nice since you know, every encryption company is making a change to post-quantum encryption instead of the classic encryption that can easily be decrypted by said quantum computers(which I will just call qc). Sure not all modern encryption is succeptible to qc decryption but a big chunk of it is.

Maybe I'm just tired or not very knowledgeable about this but any answer that isn't insulting me or calling me crazy is appreciated

Notifications on pwa

Can anyone tell me how I can succeed in having push notifications for Instagram?I use brave browser for the pwa of both reddit and Instagram

I succeeded in making reddit have push notifications but Instagram even though I accepted notifications until I close the site doesn't work when I closed it(shocker yes) but I didn't get the pop up asking to enable notifications so what can I do because I really want to be able to reply on the spot to my friends

Thanks in advance

Should I switch from brave (android)

People on sub-reddits always seem to dunk on brave I personally set it up as instructed by PrivacyGuide so yeah not many options after the Cromite pause and I have been told to switch to European stuff like Vivaldi but the main reason I chose brave is for adblocking, privacy, and security (until gecko is on par compared to chromium or blink as it would be correct to call it and fix that isolation and sandboxing issues) and I have been recommended Vivaldi I asked some dude told me that it is a downgrade for my setup. I personally can't trust EU or USA or even my country but that is just my paranoia speaking as they still can see what I do without me knowing

How does brave fingerprinting works on android

People say brave is the best private and secure browser option on android with the exception of Tor but it failed even basic tests like canva *fingerprint* signature and I don't think it is like mullvad on computer where everyone has the same signature since there is no mention of it and it doesn't seem to be a chromium issue since the now paused browser Cromite randomises it every refresh and some most gecko browsers too do it by default

If anyone could explain it to me it would be great

Brave or Cromite (android)

As you can see this question might seem kind of dumb but here is the thing: while using brave standard tabs with strict or standard fingerprinting on https://browserleaks.com/canvas you will see no matter what you do your canva fingerprint signature remains the same even closing brave and force stopping it results with same hash as your signature the only thing that seems to force this signature to change is using private tabs which allegedly as I heard Cromite doesn't have this issue which is why I'm asking whether I should switch to some other browser for android [PS: I have been waiting for mullvad browser android version but sadly it seems like they don't plan on releasing it any time soon]

ANNOUNCEMENT:[the only browsers that seemed to not have this issue were Cromite straight out of the box and titanium aka helium android(but it required the extensions canva fingerprint defender) for gecko based browsers ironfox and weblibre worked straight out of the box can't say the same for waterfox would most likely work with an extension]

Using Nora instead of Pinterest Instagram telegram discord mobile apps

I was wondering if using Nora an SNS browser for these instead of their apps would be good enough for privacy since I recently switched from apps to it though I must admit it is somewhat slow

Is thence any way to make the apps shown in the picture to not rely on play services

So I'm degoogling my Samsung phone android 13 unrooted and I already have microG for a YouTube app patched with revanced and have been wondering if I could replace play services with something without bricking or bootlooping my phone I have already remove playstore and all google apps except the android stuff and play services Ps I still want notifications for each app Edit: I forgot to censor telegram since I use it without notification

Brave vs helium (android)

So I have been a long time brave on android user it is a great browser honestly and I also have weblibre (gecko based but not a Firefox fork)which I'm waiting for to mature before going fully committed and I stumbled back into helium for android project (which honestly I think they should switch names even though they use vanadium and helium patches) which I have been using before on my old phone but it was somewhat buggy back then so I gave it up but now it seems great and not that buggy

It is smooth and has access to extensions I did switch some settings on it to my liking but as many flags as I had for brave the adblocking with ublock lite is pretty much as good as base brave ad blocking but it is said that it is a fork of vanadium as previously mentioned by vanadium relies on graphene OS sandboxxing so I wondered if it is more private or secure than brave
