First-person POV is harder to write than third person POV and can tend to look badly written or corny, if not really well thought of.

The third-person POV is my favourite.

I don't like the word brooding. It's a dang word for poultry animals getting hormonal during egg incubation.

Enemies to lovers is overdone, and I rarely see anything well written anymore.

If there is betrayal involved, there should be a period where the person is actually mad for a good portion of the book, and redemption shouldn't be half-cassed.

The one bed trope is overcomplicating something with an easy solution.

Pictures of people on sprayed edges look tacky.

Love triangles can only truly be a love triangle if one of the people in the triangle is gay. Otherwise, it's just a dang V.

Multiple POVs are not my favourite whatsoever.

Let some guys be scrawny and short, let some girls be buff and bigger than petite and frail.

STOP THE "Not like other girls." Trope.

People should be open on reading niche books from indie writers.

Authors think of a better word for smiling than Smirk, please.

These are my hotakes, obviously these are my opinions I respect if you like them but these are mine, feel free to LIGHT heartedly debate with me if you want and tell me your hotakes.

I don't believe it really is flat, but I'm up for pretending for a good natured argument. Choose one then fight against the opposite team. Use the stupidest logic to back up your case or use real facts but explain them very badly, to add to the chaos.

To all those upset about pretending to be stupid, it's a comedic debate, it's only stupid if you actually believe it.

I can go up to a person in real life, no problem, but starting a text well, that's your personal life already, talking to people in real life well unless you actively seek out that person, your not friends just acquaintances. Like bonding because we have something in THAT specific place but not bonding else where. Texting is trying to make someone part of your personal life, and I feel stupid trying to because every time I've tried, they give a basic answer so I took it as a sign they weren't interested , maybe they were and were shy, but I have this mentality like, ok you tried what else you gonna do about it or they hate you.

Me and my best friend are complete opposites, She is my only friend, I love her, but we have pretty much nothing to relate to. We both like books but we like completely different genres, I like high fantasy she likes thriller. She the extravert seems to like listening to rants or gossips or like my opinions on certain social things. I the introvert like talking about hobbies, shows, you know light hearted stuff. I am the talker, and i usually come up with stuff we both like talking about, I ask stupid questions like, would you bite through your finger if it were painless, and you'd get medical care for free and 5 million dollars, that kinda stuff, we are weirdos. If i cant think of a question though she's content with letting me yap about my hobbies, it just makes for slower convos. But lately I've been elvis depressley and when I get elvis depressley I stop talking, so she started talking to our jerk of a classmate (I think he's a jerk, for reasons that are not my story to tell.) I hate that dude, but I haven't been talking. It physically aggravates me to see her talking to that BLEEP, she's been taken advantaged of before by the same guy. We have very different tastes in guys, I keep telling her that she needs to be more picky, and that no one is better than someone who doesn't respect you. I'm introverted as I last said, I need time to be alone, like a few days, she enjoys daily conversation. Meanwhile her problem with me is (she hasn't directly told me, but from how our dynamic and personalities are, it's probably a good conclusion.) I see helping a friend differently then she does, her idea of helping, is to help emotionally, my idea is helping is practicality, My first reaction is to give advice, research, be honest, practical stuff. Her first is to ask how I'm feeling, and determine what answer would make me happiest instead of being completely truthful. She said it herself that she struggled with being a people pleaser. We solved it by asking "Do you want my default setting or yours?" But obviously sometimes we slip up it causes some problems and overthinking from my part, because I have to think whether she's actually being honest or just trying please me, I'm pretty sure my bluntness hurts her too, which I am eternally guilty for.

I'm kinda scared for when we change schools, we've discussed this, she said we will stay friends, which I'm starting to doubt because, how? I love her I would love to keep her as a friend when we leave but I don't know how we can realistically maintain our friendship.

Andy Weir writes sci fi, and books can tend to get depressing when people are floating around in space trapped, i guess i dont read a lot of sci fi. so I that's what I thought it be like reading project hail mary, but it wasn’t, it was humourous, and was strangely nostalgic, but I didn't know from where. So I read the martian, another Andy weir book, and that's where it clicked the humour is like an adult lercy jackson character narrating, honestly Mark Watney kinda reminded me of a mix of percy and magnus. I LOVED the Andy weir books cause I'm a little older, so I like older content, but I love how the humour is portrayed in said rick riordan books and the Andy weir books delivered. Do if your a pjo, mc, hoo, or generally a rick riordan fanatic and a sci-fi lover, I recommend you read an Andy weir book.

I keep seeing hate saying she's too preachy and harsh, but how would you be if your family completely disregarded how you felt, got kicked out onto the streets because of it, and probably got a lotta shift because you were being who you were? I suppose it's a defence mechanism because of how she was treated, she sort of tries to make people know how she truly is, or the harsher part of her, so that people know that "I am Alex Fierro, take me or leave me ." Sorta thing. Cause you forget alex was just a scared kid who probably was shunned all her life, so it makes sense once she got out of it she makes people know she ain't changing. Yes i understand that she can be hurtful, but its through magnus's pov, if he got hurt, we'd notice. She is verbally rough sometimes, but I'd argue that clarrise was way harsher and tons if people still loved her. I think it boils down to people not wanting to hear the full reality of it, which I think their mentality is A. it's a bummer B. It's a problem everyone already knows. But think of how it is to see things first handedly? It would be fricking scary and depressing, especially in Alex's case who didn't have a support system, which is the sad reality for millions kids. Rick Riordan's books were intended to help kids be proud of who they are through the stories of all the strong people with the same problems as them. Wether it be a young kid to afraid to be who they are, they'd see alex in pink and green, reminding them that if people don't respect them as they are, you don't need them.

I feel bad for people in hell, Like to me if I got to build the system, you'd have a sentence, therapy with angels, then you get a trial run as an animal or something then eventually a human and if you manage to be a good human you can move on into heaven. If you fail, your sentence gets longer.

There was this one time I was talking to my friend, and I mentioned how I only had 3 friends, and she went crazy trying to fight me for MY defence. She went on "No you do have more friends than that! Blank is your friend." I just tilted my head like "Dude, he only talks to me when you're here." She still went on saying,"But he's still your friend." I was like ok, and that achieved? Nothing, it's still the some except, I know that guy has low standards in friends. Would I like to have friends? Yeah, am I depressed? Also, yes, but not because of that. I would make friends, but if they act like acquaintances, then that's where they stay.

How would you say you love someone without telling someone you love them?

Like It's harmful to both sides, person A has to deal with someone who agrivates them, Person B has a Lukewarm friend. I know it hurts giving up someone you shared good memories. Then keep the good memories, and if you aren't making any good new ones, then it's just wasting storage.

I'm writing a fanfic, and I already know the main plot, but somewhere subplots or etc might help.

My grandad is an entp. He is one of the smartest people I have ever met, we debated a lot, he took us on trips, very randomly I might add. I feel like entps if the love you they just wanna give you a good time.

These are a few things I do

will make an effort to START the conversation. And I will remember stuff about that person like random stuff from a conversation, and I will actually use the information, like on a random day I remember "Oh she says she likes noodles on hot days cause it makes her cool down." Like I once I hear my friend likes a new fandom I will research it, so we can talk about it. But then again Intps have a strong sense of logistics so I feel like they give a lot of practical help. Every exam I will go through the whole book and make a summary to send to my class. Then I will bring a packet of noodles. I feel like intp affection is random like us. But it is NOT missing, #intps are not robots we just sometimes reason like one.

5. I was invited to hogwarts but apparently hated it and escaped on a pterodactyl with team rocket.

6. I was in a white box, and all of a sudden, there was a tornado of paper, and I heard my principals voice in an eerie blow. "YOUR SAT!!!!"

7. (When I was 8) I dreamt I was in Girl Scouts waiting in line for the bathroom. It was just a thick tree with a door. I was behind a bear and I had to pee like crazy and then I wet my pants and I started crying, and the bear comforted me, said, "It's alright, it's only a dream" I woke up in a soaking wet bed.
