Thierry Henry said that to Jeter on FOX. It's not just true. The media in NYC isn't any different than other cities. If anything, it's softer/less critical.

The average person probably knows more about Spain or Argentinas football team than their local government or what their tax money went towards. Unbelievable

As a diehard football aficionado, I feel the need to challenge myself and test my knowledge against other NFL fans.

For example, at Taco Bell the other day, I saw someone wearing a Cam Ward Tennessee Titans jersey. I took about 8 seconds, remembered who the Titans CB4 was and asked the guy if he knew who that was. He didn't know. That was the 14th time this year I out ball knowledged someone. If I keep watching 3 hours of film a day and spend 2 hours a day on NFL reference, I'll be sure to break the record i set last year (2025) of out ball knowledging someone 19 times.

When was the last time something similar happened to you? And how did it make you feel?

I'm trying to become more of a soccer expert and I was really surprised to see Manchester United was that bad in 2024-2025

Someone else can tell me if 15 years ago people loved the amount of post ups and mid range shots the NBA had. I would imagine they did not.

Another example would be Michael Vick where he gets lumped in Lamar even though Lamar is/was the far far far better player (and I am the furthest thing from a Lamar fan)

The biggest example I can come up with are people who cry about the transfer portal/NIL. I'm sure those same people loved college football when Nick Saban and Alabama won the national title every other year.

For example, even after they beat Ohio State in the big ten title game, I thought Indiana would play Ohio State in the national title game and lose.

That was obviously foolish, but I couldn't get past the fact that Indiana has been historically bad at football and Ohio State is always great. Surely if they played again Ohio State would win, right?

Has a teams mystique or lack thereof allowed you to over or underrate them?

I'm not talking about guys who are hated by everybody because of crimes or off the field stuff. Strictly sports. I think A-rod fits this description but I also might consider Kevin Durant. Neither of those guys are loved or welcomed with who they played for.
