How to know when to head to the doctor?

Hey everyone. Well for the first time ever, I ended up with a special kind of zit. This one did not have a white he’d to it. Nor did it have a black head. Instead it was totally red, white a red head so to speak.

Well in the past any time I have had a zit, if I didn’t squeeze it and empty its contents, it would surely heal over time on its own, but it almost always left me with a red mark that would last for around a year.

So with that said, I squeezed this fully red one. Thankfully it did NOT explode, because I learned from some other people that I actually had blood as the head of this particular zit. I know this because the top was very squishy, like a blood blister.

After squeezing I applied ice to it and everything of the sort to get the swelling down. However the very top of the zit is now black and crusty. I am guessing that is oxidized blood and has essentially gone from being a zit with a red head with blood trapped beneath it, to a red zit with a black scabbed head.

My question is how do I know it’s simply a black scab and not necrotic tissue?

For what it’s worth there is absolutely no foul smell, no drainage, or anything. The base of the zit is still red but the top half is totally black.

I am unsure if I should head to the doctor to get it checked out. Luckily ever since squeezibg it two days ago it has continually shrunk. the only difference is that instead of having the red squishy blood blistery head that I had before squeezing it, now it has a totally dry black scab like head

Is it even worth upgrading?

I’ve got a 2024 violin DLX 012 that I love. The but could be better and the pickups are surprisingly good for being ceramics.

super playable and comfortable guitar. I just don’t see much a reason to switch to the 112v. maybe just upgrade the nut and call it a day?

I have busked with this for a while with great success and it holds tune very well.

Obviously though it may be a good idea to upgrade

Is there any hope for my fishman?

My fishman loudbox mini does this popping sound and when it pops the reverb turns on for a little then it pops again and shuts off. It not the cable I’ve tried multiple different cables and multiple different guitars so it’s an amp issue. I just don’t have two hundred to repair the thing and wanna have it repaired any ideas on what the issue is?

Wasps were inside the home multiple times and now I am worried.

I live in NJ.

Early April was the first one I saw in my basement. Far too early for it to be a worker wasp so it obviously was a queen waking up from hibernation.

I could tell by the timing and also her movement. She was very sluggish almost drunk, if I had to describe her movement. Plus the day I saw her, it was the first warm day we had after a stretch of months of winter cold weather.

the hot weather seemed to wake her up, she probably had spent the whole winter in the walls of the basement. Killed her.

It got cold again for weeks straight after that day. Then suddenly, we had an eighty degree day Super late April. Another wasp shows up, this one also seeming kind of drunk. Perhaps another queen waking up from hibernation. Killed it. Hopefully it wasn’t a worker wasp and was simply a nestless waking_up Queen.

After that the weather was warm cibsistebtly with no issues for a couple weeks. Then mid May, a third, sluggish, drunk seeming wasp shows up. Killed it

From what I’ve read worker wasps are typically very direct with how they move and forage so the timing plus the drunk mush behavior of the wasps that showed up and the timing of the year and weather makes me think they were three separate queens that I killed

Keep in mind the entire time this occurred, the basement ceiling panels, well half sold them were off, meaning I guess any insects could easily fly or crawl from the inside of the walls into the basement pretty darn easily. Perhaps we have queen wasps emerging every year but simply never notice them.

At any rate after this I’m now afraid there is a brewing nest somewhere in the walls

my hope is that I killed theee different queens which means I stopped three nests before they got started by killing them early. But who knows if there were other queens I didn’t catch and they’re making and growing their nests in the house right now?

The species was definetely not a paper wasps it was some sort of yellow jacket, looked to be a German yellow jacket

Anyway, worried and scared everytime I go into the basement now. Never knowing if I’m gonna get ambushed by a bunch of angry young worker wasps due to an unknown wall nest

I’m having some issues choosing a guitar with my tiny, arthritis hands.

I have arthritis as well as small hands.

i recently had a Yamaha F335 that I LOVED the playability of, but it just didn’t have enough projection for what I needed it for.

It literally had the perfect neck and string tension with its 25 inch scale

I found an Alvarez Regebt RG26ce that I love the feel of too. Super slim neck and despite its 25.5 inch scale length it somehow requires less effort to fret than other 25.5 inch scale acoustics with twelve gauge strings. I don’t know how they did this but it’s super comfortable to play.

Only takes slightly more effort than the Yamaha f335. And has I would say, 15-20% better projection than the Yamaha f335.

Only downside is the one I played sounded slightly tinny. Perhaps it just needs new strings. Have not bought it yet

My last option seems to be the Yamaha FG800J, which apparently has the 25 inch scale length which is great as far as wanting an easy playing guitar for my tiny hands.

I also hear that it has slightly more projection and volume than the Yamaha F335

So it seems like the perfect guitar for my needs perhaps.

Here is my list

- Yamaha f335 had perfect playability, great sound but not enough projection

- Alvarez RG26ce: Slightly less good playability, yet still great playability. Way better projection than the f335. Great sound overall but with a tiny hint of tinnyness to the sound (specifically on the high e string. If that’s fixable I’d likely buy it

- Yamaha fg800j apparently has the same neck profile as the f335 meaning incredibly playability like the f335. And I’ve read the projection is slightly better. Perhaps this is my best option

Anyone has played these theee please let me know what you think

Theyre within my budget entirely and I’ve tried about a hundred different guitars and landed on these (but still haven’t found an FG800J locally I could try

Received a negative review from host what should I do [USA]

I booked an airbnb in California. Had a great great time. I’m always incredibly respectful of a host and their living space.

I showed up, and there was hair and debris in the shower.

Messaged the host about it and the host got defensive and claimed they spent hours cleaning.

Maybe they did and maybe their effort is true but there was still a dirty shower with hair in it and stuff.

I have messages of when I arrived then ten minutes later upon entering the room and seeing that dirty shower I videoed it for evidence. It was gross.

I cleaned it though

The host continued to be eyeing me badly everytime I left the room to the point I went up to them and said no issues at all I cleaned it up

The host seemed relaxed.

After that the host left me a negative review saying I left garbage that I didn’t, and stains that I didn’t. And I still had left them a positive review all that considered.

I videoed myself leaving the room as I always do for proof of me leaving it clean and spotless.

I was only leaving them a positive review out of courtesy because I didn’t want them to feel bad about the mess they had me initially walk into, with tons of hair in the shower.

Then they turn around and make a false review about me.

Now I’m considering showing my video evidence to Airbnb about what I Really walked into at the Airbnb when I got there.

I am also considering replying to their review of me publicly.

This rubbed me the wrong way.

Ive never had any type of negative review against me. Clearly this is retaliation for them being embarrassed for being called out for leaving such a dirty shower area.

Experience with recovering refund amount and now not sure what to do [GUEST]

Long story short, I had a lot of issues with my Airbnb.

I paid a total of 584 after taxes, for this Airbnb for five total nights where the break down is 101.20 per night x 5 plus 78 in taxes…

I was told by the host that I would get a full refund for a the first night of the Airbnb stay for all the issues. Meaning, I fully expected to get back 101.20 (the cost of a single night before any taxes) plus some of the taxes. Instead I received 84 dollars.

I reached out to Airbnb and they gave me some Bs about how they can’t forward me to a supervisor, and how I need to wait for them to escalate it and call me back.

I contacted the host in the messages and they said they only received 84 per night which is what they refunded me. Then the host told me it’s out of their hands, and to contact Airbnb directly Literally makes no sense. these types of issues are literally ruining my vacation.

iI obviously should be getting back 101.20 but I didn’t and now they are giving me the run around

Conflicting information on the tie rods with my 2014 Hyundai accent automatic.

I just got brand new Moog (with a zerk fitting), outer tie rods on my Accent. The mechanic who changed them didn’t have grease to grease them, but he indeed changed them to the new ones, and also aligned my car. After that the drive was insanely smooth despite the lack of greasing.

After that I went for a hundred mile drive and it drove amazingly.

Finally I decided to go to another mechanic today to finally have them add grease to the outer tie rods. Directly after them doing that the ride is super stiff over bumps, super noticeable.

I asked my initial mechanic why that would be and he checked it out admins said they moderately over pressurized the tie rods with grease. I asked if he could squeeze some out but he didn’t want to for fear of breaking the boots. He also said over a few hundred miles that some of that extra grease will get pushed out and my smooth ride will return…..

Im not sure what to do. Some sources say exactly what he is saying and other sources are saying it might break from the over pressurizing

What is this strange liquid on my tire for my 2014 Hyundai accent gls, automatic?

I have this spare tire in my wheel well of the car for the last few years. It was a used tire I got from a tire shop, they points it to a rim and then I left it in my car as a spare

i finally checked it out today because my other rim is bent at the lip, but I noticed this weird liquid on it

is this safe to take this old tire off it, and use this rim for a new tire?

At the beggining of April’s, it was finally warm for a couple days. I was in my basement with the heater on and the lamp on and a wasp flew right at me. It seemed disoriented though. I crushed it.

I was terrified because I have nerve issues and a sting would be EXCRUCIATING for me.

The internet said it was likely a single wasp queen emerging from hibernation from inside my house, looking for a way out and still “drunk” from waking up

I said thank god it was probably just one

The rest of April went back to being pretty cold…

now it’s early May and we had like three warm days in a row, and I was in the basement again and another yellow jacket appeared in the basement, crawling on wall area the first one showed up.

it was alone and also seemed kind of drunk.

We killed it, and the pictures are of the secondine we killed. And it looks like a worker wasp. . . Which would mean there’s more wasps and a nest in the wall rather than it simply being another queen that emerged from hibernation

what the heck do I do?

I measured the one in the picture and it’s one millimeter less than 5/8 inch but clearly slightly over half an inch.
