Impact of Will Wood on music/pop culture?

I have a music research assignment, and I chose to Will Wood. Part of the assignment is to discuss what impact our chosen musician had on music, pop culture, or people in general.

I know the average person isn't likely to know him (my teacher definitely didn't), but I also know he is VERY popular in certain circles (which i am in).

I'm planning on talking about his unnusual lyrics and how he blends genres but I really don't know what else.

Because I am a fan and my friends are fans I genuinely have no idea how popular will wood actually is to the general public or how many people know his type of music.

I'm sorry if this is phrased badly, I am very sleep deprived.

Silt verses fandom?

I've been listening to silt verses for a bit now, and I'm really enjoying it, but I am having a really hard time finding the fandom. There's not much fanart, there doesn't seem to be a subreddit at all, and whenever I try to talk to people about it, they've never heard of it. I know there are fans, but where are they?

Am I just spoiled from my other podcasts being really popular?

Please use ai (Shawn Smucker)

Be sure to use AI when making

your next, I don’t know, meal plan,

for example. Definitely do not call

your friend who loves to cook and ask her

for her favorite recipes or tips or ways

to save time making meals,

because you will end

up talking for longer than you had hoped,

hearing, perhaps, about her father’s cancer

diagnosis or how lonely she’s been or even

what she’s planted in her spring

garden and then lost with the early frost.

And be sure to use AI when planning that next

camping trip, the last one you will take

with this particular child. Definitely do

not text your friend who has fly-fished every

river in Pennsylvania and biked every

backwoods trail, because you might end

up texting back and forth for the rest of the day

or even meeting up late for a beer and hearing

how he has ended each recent night black-out

drunk, or perhaps you’ll hear how his

cousin is an idiot on Facebook or maybe just

that he repaired his own washing machine

and is pretty damn proud of that.

And be sure to use AI when your next child

gets married, so that you can write them

the perfect toast or poem or speech or song

because no one wants to hear your

words, the actual poorly written words

of a parent (you) who changed

hundreds of diapers for said child or fed

them in the middle of the

night from your actual body. Or cried

when they were late home because

you were positive they were dead. We don't

want those words—we’d prefer the sterile

words of a machine that never lived, never

had an original thought, never felt

the pain of miscarriage or broken

relationships or the joy of a friendship restored

or of seeing spring’s first

robin dancing on frost.

And be sure to use AI when working on your next

book or essay or piece of art or photography,

and then smile or even laugh at your own

cleverness when you see how good it is,

and how easy,

because who the hell has time

to work at something, to give time to craft, to

create with their own minds, to spend

years being mediocre. Why do that when

mastery, or at least competency

is so simple

only a good prompt away?

How magnificent

the funeral song our children or contemporaries

will write for us, a song they will make by

taking our obituary and Facebook posts,

plus random quotes from our algorithm,

and feeding them into Chat

or Gemini

or Claude.

The tears that will fall in the face of such

sanitary sweetness!

Be sure to use AI

and while you do I’ll be over here in my 50th

year, my youngest daughter asleep on my chest,

my arm falling asleep because I dare not move

lest I scare away this moment,

lying here melancholy about my older

children moving out and my middle

children no longer needing me, at least

not like they used to, weary about this body

that fails me now in ever increasing ways

that will never be restored. Sighing

over stories I tried to write but never hit

the page the way they felt in my mind.

But isn’t that, my flesh-and-blood friend,

the natural order of things?

the longing for something that could always be

a bit better

or the way that anything

worth doing feels a bit clumsy and painful,

especially at first

or hearing another human voice and somehow

realizing the beauty of life is found in all of these

subtle imperfections

How to find other users?

I am very new to goodreads and am having trouble navigating the site.

There are several ways to add friends from my contacts or send a link to people I know, but I can't find a way to follow anyone else. I'm probably missing something really obvious, but I've looked all over the site and on Google, but the page with the solution has been taken down or something.

How do I search for and follow users that aren't already my friends?

Struggling to find reliable waterproof pens/fineliners

I've tried a few different brands, including a bunch of the popular ones (micron, faber castel, etc), but they all either kinda suck from the beginning or break much faster than they should. I don't treat them badly, and my other pens hold up fine. I don't know why this keeps happening.

My only requirements are that they feel decently smooth on paper, and they are water/smudgeproof. If anyone has a good brand I would really appreciate it

Anyone know a way to make it not nearly $40

I live in Canada, I know shipping in and out of America is bad right now, but it usually isn't THIS bad. I'd pay $9 for a sticker but $40 is too much.

My Samsung music refuses to unshuffle

Recently, my Samsung music has gotten stuck in shuffle mode, and I can't undo it. I've gone through all the settings, I've pressed every button that even looks remotely like a shuffle button, I've asked for help, but nothing is working. It plays the one song I select, then either goes to (what i think is) the queue, or just plays a random song I didn't even know I had.

It used to work normally. I could choose if I wanted to play my queue or just go through a playlist. I don't know what went wrong.

How do I find anything?

I've been on tumblr for a while now but I still don't really know how everything works. I've been really struggling to find specific posts or blogs for ages and I just don't know what to look for, or if there even is a better way.

There are a couple people I follow that have ongoing comics or stories, usually one chapter per post. Sometimes the posts get spread out or I lose the name of the person or whatever, and then it takes me AGES to find it again. Sometimes I have the name of the person but have to carefully scroll all the way to the bottom of the blog to find the post. Some people have a handy little page at the beginning with all the links, but most people don't.

Is there a better/easier way to find specific posts if I don't know the exact name?

Went to the new ROM exhibit...

This was literally the first thing you see when you walk through the door. Gave me instant corruption vibes.

The entire exhibit is about bees. There are dead bees under magnifying glasses, projections of bees flying around, never-ending buzzing noises under the music...
