Women’s heirloom overalls shorts - we lost 3 inches, 4 pockets, & our hammer loop??

Women’s heirloom overalls shorts - we lost 3 inches, 4 pockets, & our hammer loop??

Does anyone know what’s going on with DTC?

They changed these awesome casual work clothes (women’s heirloom overall shorts 10” inseam) that were perfect for me as an artist.

I could get paint on them, or accidentally cut part then stitch it back up, and no one could see anything wrong with them despite the fact that I’ve been wearing them for a while. I am actually still getting compliments on them everywhere I go. More importantly, I could drop an entire book in one of my two large lower thigh pockets, a phone in the back pocket, shove my wallet in a front pocket, keys in the other front pocket, hang a pair of heavy duty shears on the hammer loop, and walk off to address an emergency then go back to work and easily find all my stuff.

The thigh pockets are all gone along with the 3 inches in length, and the hammer loop has been replaced with a light duty carabiner clip. The back pocket… I don’t even know where to begin with the back pocket.

I guess whomever designed these new back pockets is not aware of how back pockets work? To reach a back pocket, it is more comfortable to swivel your shoulder but now, because that pocket is a slanted slit design… they expect you to reach into them the same way you reach into front pockets? But that is not how elbow joints work. Because you would also need to rotate your hand to use the back pocket when it is angled, trying to use it will actually strain your elbow.

Also, using the front pocket design on a woman’s rear instantly makes me think of that old joke about a man putting the potato down his pants… it’s just a really weird and less functional choice.

I know that they are now spinning these new overalls as having 8 pockets, so I went and checked the math on my old ones. Not counting all the subdivisions as separate pockets, we used to have 10 solid pockets. If you counted every single subdivision as a new pocket, we had 15. Losing those 3 inches of length literally cost us 4 completely functional lower pockets.

All of this to say, is there any chance DTC is going to fix these things or do I have to wait for a sale on the longer length overalls then hem them to knee length to get new clothes?

/signed by a woman feeling guilty that I recently recommended another woman check on the overall shorts at DTC

Beyond tired of the $25 lie about same or next day delivery:

I’m not sure if it will do anything good but if I’m the only one experiencing this issue but I am beyond tired Amazon’s $25 lie about same or next day delivery, I just filed this letter with my states’ attorney general/consumer protection under ‘goods not received as ordered’ maybe if enough people are making similar complaints, they’ll at least start charging Amazon fees for the amount of damage they do to our roads:

*I am filing a complaint against Amazon for repeatedly using deceptive shipping promises and predatory remedies. Amazon consistently displays an interface banner promising next-day delivery if a consumer hits a spending threshold ($25). Relying on this, I am buying extra items early to get what I need on time.. Inevitably, the order fails to arrive as ordered.*

*When shipments fail, Amazon’s app completely blocks automated reports, forcing a frustrating customer service loop. Today, June 20, I spent 15 minutes fighting an AI chatbot just to reach a human. Phone support promised a 6:00 PM delivery today, while the website simultaneously claimed "tomorrow." It is now past 6:00 PM, nothing has arrived, and I am forced to waste more personal time following up tomorrow.*

*Furthermore, if Amazon actually issues me an inconvenience credit, they restrict its use. I am prohibited from spending it on the 3rd-party marketplace vendors I usually buy from. Instead, the credit is strictly locked to items both shipped and sold by Amazon through their own internal fulfillment. Amazon forces extra spending under false pretenses, fails to deliver, and then traps the financial remedy entirely within their own closed corporate ecosystem. This circular business model weaponizes consumer time for profit. Under no circumstances will Amazon allow me to cancel an order that had not yet arrived or even left the warehouse so I can seek the item immediately through a local vendor.*

PSA - if you want durable medical equipment donations to go to those in need:

PSA: if you want durable medical equipment (DME) to be USED by an actual person in need, do not donate it to Goodwill or to a random thrift store.

So if you are donating a wheelchair, crutches, bathroom security rails, a walker, prosthetics, a home dialysis machine (etc), before you do it… search for a local Medical Equipment Lending Closet or a Durable Medical Equipmemt Reuse Program. Social workers and physical therapists also often have insights about programs like these. These programs often have licensed technicians (sometimes volunteer, sometimes paid by a thrift store they run). They will sanitize the gear, fix it up, and get it to a family who need it.. often free of charge

Goodwills (and other thrift stores), on the other hand, treat medical inventory as something to be sold for a profit, they are not here to help poor people fubared by our medical system. (Even when it is illegal to do so.. for example, my local stores put medical equipment on the lowest shelf between the now empty toys aisle and the children’s books, the kids see things like open boxes of Depends and used the pads as roller skates.)

TL; DR if you want your used medical gear donations to actually help someone in your community, look for an organization like https://fodac.org cause most goodwills aren’t here to help shoppers anymore.

Beware of Goodwill Of Colorado “Buy It Now” Prices

I was surprised to see a buy it now price on a newly listed fountain pen so I popped in to details to look. After all how could it be “buy now” when I can buy one if these pens on eBay for 7-10 and goodwill already has the starting bid price at 9.99… the buy it now price is set at 450.00.

This pen is a cheap Chinese knock off of a German pen (LAMY safari)that usually sells new for $30-35. So I looked around at all their other listings that were filed as “buy it now” and most of them are also outrageously high.

No clue why they’re being quite this scammy.. but it feels a bit like it may be time to report them for mail fraud. =/

Spicy Sweet Chili now has stevia? Why?

Why did FritoLay add this thing to my favorite flavor: Spicy Sweet Chili.

I can't eat it, any sweetener outside of sugar/honey/maple gives me migraines or something like a flu/fever.

My only consolation is my husband and kid can still eat it so it wasn't money down the drain.

I guess I need to check the rest of the flavors to see if I can have any of the other chips

Blackwing 2 thrifted?

I just found this little collection of pencils (pen is mine) at a thrift store today. It looks like they may glow in the dark? Anyone familiar with this version of Blackwing? I've never seen this model. All my others have been acquired with packaging. These were just jangling around in a ziplock bag.

Lately I’ve been seeing things like this… Etsy sellers selling things that don’t exist in reality. How are buyers meant to deal with this sort of thing? Can I assume this person has been hacked? Is something else going on? I feel bad reporting it but I didn’t know what else to do.
