If the Panem anthem "Horn of Plenty" were to have more words in it, what do you think they'd be? And do you think they changed the anthem after the rebellion?

If the Panem anthem "Horn of Plenty" were to have more words in it, what do you think they'd be? And do you think they changed the anthem after the rebellion?

Currently the famous anthem for the movie, only has 3 lines in it all referring to the Horn of Plenty (which makes sense since it's used in the movies as more of an instrumental), but if you had to put more words in it which one would you choose?

Also do you think they changed the Anthem after the second rebellion? It would be kinda cool if they adopted Hanging Tree as their anthem, having Lucy Gray of all people be the one who wrote it would feel like a pretty sweet pinch of cosmic justice.

Felt Generous

That's an MK3 Cyclope module BTW! This happened because when I got to the end of the game my Ark Survival Evolved player instincts kicked in and I started to gather WAAAAAY too many endgame resources compared to what you actually need. Forgot not every survival is grind hell like Ark is 😂, so I crafted a couple of end-game upgrades and put them in the time capsule just so I can do something with all of the extra stuff.

Hope whoever finds it finds it useful XD

How would you write the Subnautica movie?

I think that to actually work the game will need a cast living of human characters that is not just Riley, and much like in Subnautica too much of the conflict would have to hinge on the characters having different ideas on how to survive.

I also think that some of them will have to inevitably die to keep the tension high. I assume there will be at least one death by Kharaa and one by Reaper Leviathan ... then maybe one at the end due to the Sea Dragon?

I also think that the Sea Emperor needs to be a lot more of a prominent presence in the story with her telepathy, perhaps latching on to one specif character and telling them about the time she roamed the planet freely; but other people might not be able to hear her as clearly and could dismiss her telepathy as hallucinations.

I'm also not sure if he'd be able to fit into the story but having at least notes written by Alan specifically might serve the story well to better understand who the Architects were and why the Bacteria spread in a first place

But how would YOU write the Subnautica movie?

What if the Tributes trained for a year instead of just a few weeks?

What if in an hypothetical scenario, the Capital were to train the tributes for the games for a full year instead of only for a few weeks. How would that shake up the dynamic of the games?

In this case, tributes would be reaped on the 4th of July as usual but it would not be broadcasted to Capital Audiences until the 4th of July NEXT YEAR, at the same time as a new reaping takes place in the districts.

Giving the tributes a full year to gain strength and practice their skills might allow for far more interesting competition, as even those that would usually be considered "weaklings" might put up more of a fight

How do you think the game would change in this scenario?

Princession Orchestra as Pokemon: low stats but an ability that lets them stack boost EXTREMELY easily when using SOUND or DANCE moves. How good would they be in your opinion?

The core idea is that: the more the sing and dance, the stronger they become, but to make it fair of course they start out with very low stats

I think you either slap a Throat Spray on them and turn them into Boom-burst machines, or you try to lean in their individual type strength, wide coverage and general unpredictable factor to make them hard to answer effectively.

I think Blue girl would be terrific on Rain Teams I assume, Red Girl might just be the strongest one since she has the widest move-pool and Extreme Speed Priority (can even set up Sticky Web), Yellow Girl can use Revelation Dance to have a perfect accuracy 90 power rock move that boosts her special attack by one stage and Gigaton Hammer coming off an actual attack stat that easily gets boosted could really sting. Purple and Pink can Sword Dance and go to +2 attack +1 Defense + Special Defense and + 1 Speed in a single turn which is certainly quick set-up but their types are really bad since they are full of weaknesses.

Not sure if with all of the tools that I gave them they can make up for their very low and poorly optimized stats. What do you think? You'd put them on your team (VGC or singles)?

"Hiding until everyone else is dead" is possible in the games

This is one of those movie changes that sometime gets labeled as "nonsense" by some, but I don't think this is the case at all; and actually it'd be even more strange if it WASN'T possible.

The most common reason for people to this miss this victory method as not plausible is that the Capital would not like victors that hid all the time, so the game makers would not let them win.

I think this line of thought is not exactly solid because it lacks a bit of nuance. First of all, although yes the Capital does prefer proactive tributes that do a lot of things in the arena, prefer doesn't mean they want EXCLUSIVELY that. Like any good TV show there needs to be good variety, so sometimes the game-makers need to make an underdog with a less flashy strategy win . As I said, it not only helps with variety, but in comparison strong and flashy victors would result even more awesome, so it's a win win.

Secondly, people say that hiding could not bring to victory by itself because the game makers use hazards and mutts to drive tributes out of hiding regularly. Although this IS true, this is also not an absolute! When Haymich said "Hiding until everyone else was dead" is clearly not meant to be taken literally, it's just a way to summarize their way of victory; since these victors would have for sure also taken part in SOME action. They would have certainly moved around the arena and interacted with other tributes, they'd have for sure also killed some of them too maybe with alternative strategies but they would have done it none the less. Brute force is not the only way to cause some action. So although yes the game-makers do sometimes force tributes out of hiding, they are not against hiding as a whole.

Lastly the last point people sometimes make is that there could not be victor that won by hiding because the Capital would be angry at them for the way they won and punish them with death (or still something really bad). This already doesn't make sense because of what I explained in the first point, but it was totally disproven in Sunrise of the Reaping, where Wiress actually won just by hiding and doing nothing else because she found the blind spot in the arena; but even then despite her literally using an exploit that made the Capital look foolish she was not punished for the way she won, they were mad at her for sure but she was not harmed until she helped with the rebellion next year (where presumably she payed for both, but hadn't she rebelled in a first place it's likely the Capital would have still not done anything to her). Assuming that Wiress was the only victor that won through a similar exploit (because let's be honest she absolutely was), the Capital would have no reason to punish victors that did more than then in their games

So yes I do think it's plausible the District 6 tributes did win mainly through hiding, since at the end of the day when you think about it Katniss too was much more of a hider during her first games; since the only time she went on the offensive was when she blew up the supplies but for the rest of the time she remained much more reactive rather than proactive.

Career Accademies. I think they make sense in all honesty

These are a known movie addition, but I've heard many people say they make absolutely no sense for the canon, especially for the canon of the books.

But I think they are totally plausible, even in the books, where Katniss just specifies Careers "train" but never says how they do so.

The most common argument people make for why they couldn't exist is that training for the games is illegal, so the Capital wouldn't allow it

However the Capital clearly DOES allow Career to train already and it only benefits the games, so that rule clearly is ignored for them already.

Yet still some say it wouldn't be possible for the Capital to openly break their own rules and have state founded Career Accademies, but nobody said the Capital would be the one managing those.

They could easily be private institutions, where parents need to pay for their kids to attend and thus they get funded that way. This would probably also allow only a very limited number of students to attend at any given time, since the tuition would be too expansive for poorer families to afford it (because obviously there would be an internal district wealth gap in other districts too, not just in District 12), thus the Capital wouldn't have to worry about a large amounts of highly trained civilians going around.

These Accademies could also easily be disgusted on official documents as "Self-defense training" or "Summer Camps", so it'd be easy to at least on paper to hide their true purpose even if it is an open secret at the end of the day (and then get all the geer they actually need for Hunger Games training from the black market)

And to be honest, the Careers getting trained by professionals (rather than doing it in secret and thus presumably a lot more sloppily), is kinda the only way to explain just how insanely skilled they are. Not only they can kill in cold blood right from the get-go, but they also presumably have survival training too to make sure they can survive in whatever environment they are thrown in.

I think that an Academy system is actually quite plausible and makes sense with the known lore. On how public they are allowed to be about it, it's another matter, but I see no reason for why they couldn't exist.

Had Lucy Gray been a mentor after her victory, how do you think the story would have changed and would have 12 gotten more victors with her help?

For the sake of this thought experiments let's suppose that everything in TBOSAS stays the exact same up until Snow comes back to the Capital. Instead of hearing that Lucy Gray never came back, he instead hears that she did come back to 12 and survived the wrath of the mayor that wanted her dead.

Not being able to get to her to eliminate her from the Capital when she is all the way in Districts 12, Snow instead decides to threaten her when she comes back for the 11th games. He tells her to keep her mouth shut about what happend the previous year, otherwise he WILL kill her this time; so Lucy Gray accepts and submits; also accepting her role as mentor for District 12 district kids.

If we postulate that Haymich still wins the 50th games and that Katniss & Peeta also win the 74th the key questions are:

Will District 12 get more victors with Lucy Gray as a competent mentor? Katniss says that from time to time District 12 would have a pretty strong tribute picked but that they were let down by Haymich's poor mentorship. Lucy Gray would presumably be a lot more competent as a mentor. She was the first victor to win the favour of the crowd so she would absolutely be masterful at managing PR for her tributes. On top of that having an early mentor would guarantee D12 with better performances in general, even if they don't win, it would make future tributes more likely to be bet on by sponsors. Overall District 12 would be able to gather up an early advantage over other mentor-less districts in general, making them not the absolute bottom of the pack.

In the long run this could produce at least one or two more victors than the ones we actually got. Do you think that this is likely scenario or that Snow would try all that he could to make sure it's impossible for Lucy Gray's tributes to win?

How will Haymich's games change? With Lucy Gray mentoring him instead of Mags and Wiress (or either way being their primary mentor, with Mags and Wiress helping). By that point, will Lucy Gray have totally submitted to Snow and would no longer try to go against him, or would she still try to rebel even if it could pay with her life? If she does go along with the plan, will the advice she'll give to Haymich make a difference in the outcome of his loved ones? Will she want to involve Mayselee too in the plan? Will the failed rebellion make Snow decide he had let her live for long enough already?

If she is still alive by the 74th games how will things change? Will her advice grant Katniss and Peeta a faster path to victory? What will her relationship with Katniss be like? And if she is still not alive will her influence have made Haymich into a better mentor?

I'm really curious to hear what people think about this because to me this is one of the biggest "WHAT IF" in the franchise

Reason why the Crystal Gems change appearence when reforming? I think I have an idea...

We all know that whenever a gem reforms she has a slight change in design. Outside if the 4th wall this is just to freshen up the designs and to visually show important character milestones.

However canonically, what makes the Crystal Gems change themselves slightly every time they reform?

We know that Home-World gems don't do this. Lapis and Peridot when they reform for the first time, do so with their home world uniforms, which are ofc always the same.

So clearly this is a Crystal Gem thing, but why? Well it's not a matter of fashion for certain. We know that although the (non-diamond) gems can't permanently shape shift their bodies, in the beach episode with the Pizzaria family (forgot their name sorry), we saw the gems having no problem staying shape shifted in their beach clothes. So changing clothes probably just equates for them to changing a cosmetic skin in a videogame. So there is no need to wait for regeneration to do so

I think the reason they do it, is to try and emulate humanity and the power to change that Rose seeked out so much. They might not be able to change day-to-day like humans do, but after something critical happens they routinely make even a small change to their physical appearance, to show that something did happen to them and that they are not the unchanging gears in the machine Home-World wants them to be.

What do you think?

When they'll come to the game, how do you want for Origin Dialga and Palkia to get buffed?

These 2 were ULTRA underwhelming in Gen 9 since they were stuck with pressure and slightly rearranged stats. So which buff do you hope they'll get once they get into Champions?

If it was up to me I'd give Dialga the ability to make the whole field skip recharge and charge up turns, while Palkia just sets up gravity when it enters the field.

This would still make them pretty specific, but at least usable.

u/TrainingDrop9283 — 29 days ago

What would you say to somebody that genuinely ships these two, without having realized they are...

... mother and daughter? 😭😭😭

Like on one hand of course if they have not yet come to the realization they are relatives you don't want to spoil them the surprise, but on the other letting them ship this as if nothing was a miss also feels pretty wrong.

What would you do in this situation?

BERRIES (and mushrooms, and rare flowers, etc...) Which creature is: THE BEST, MOST AVERAGE and WORST at obtaining it? [NOTE please specify the if the dino you are voting for is "Best" "Average" or "Worst"]

  1. You may vote for only 1 creature per each cell. You are encouraged, but not obligated to, cast a vote for a creature in EACH of the highlighted, cells
  2. The creature you need to vote for must at least some-what intended to provide that specif resource (example: voting "Parasaur" for "Bad" berry gatherer is fine, but voting "T-Rex" as "Bad" wood gatherer is not)
  3. Your vote should not only keep into account the quantity of resources a dino can provide in vacuum, but also how easy that dinosaur is to find, to tame, on how many maps it is on, and for how long of a stretch of time said dino will remain useful in a plarythrough. (Example: the Anky is a lot more common and a lot easier to tame then a Magamasaur, but the Magmasaur gathers more metal more quickly. Take both factors into consideration when casting your vote)
  4. You may also vote for creatures that don't gather said resource directly, but help you earn it in other ways (Example: T-rex helps get you get element by winning boss fights). You may also vote for creatures that provide said resource when harvested (Example: Harvesting a Magmasaur gives you Stone)
  5. Tek Stryder Clause: The Tek Stryder can gather every resource in the game. It will thus be excluded from this chart. Any vote casted for the Stryder will not be a valid vote

How well did the show actually sell?

Asking because although the show was undoubtedly a pretty decent watch for me, I also think that PriOrch came out in a year with particularity harsh competition in the Magical Girl toy niche, since the ever popular Pretty Cure was also doing a singing season in 2025 and K-Pop demon hunter ALSO probably ate a bit of that market share.

I can't seem to find any figures on how the show actually sold, so I was wondering if anyone knows more about it? I do hope it sold at least decently well since all things considered I think it deserved it's moderate share of success

Is the Brachiosaurus still coming to Ascended

Out of all the creatures of the Garuga mod it's the one I was looking forward the most. But it seems like it's the only one to have not arrived yet.

Any news on when it's supposed to be coming?

Cure Kagura appreciation because I can. Somebody has to give this franchise's cross dressing king his flowers

Seriously he is the most slept on Cure in the entire franchise despite being one of the best ones ever if not THE best one ever. More people should really watch Dancing Star!
