What would someone who is human, but disconnected from their humanity, be called?

So I've looked it up (obviously) and my first thought was quasihuman but that's linked to AI, not otherkinity. Then I looked up demigender and although one of the definitions is "people who have lost touch with their humanity", the word has two other definitions : humanoïd fantasy types (elves, dwarves, orcs), and forms which are in-between human and kin.

Are there any other terms I'm unaware of? If not, I'll default to demihuman, but it bugs me a little that it has two other definitions.

On-and-off co-front

Def : a co-front when the headmates aren't fronting at the same time, but are all so close to front that switching feels like flipping an on-and-off switch, with "on" being one headmate and "off" being the other

Example : Arwyn and Eleanor are on-and-off co-fronting. When the system speaks to Arwyn's friend, Arwyn is fronting. But a notification from Eleanor's friend flips the switch to the Eleanor mode. As soon as Eleanor is done talking with her friend, the switch goes back to Arwyn mode.

Does anyone else experience this?

Folks, we're missing the point.

(Meta)

This subreddit shouldn't be about hating the haters, it should be about spreading awareness and not about mindlessly hating.

I got fakeclaimed twice on this subreddit which is against fakeclaiming. There obviously is a problem.

Some people on here are propagating misinformation and not checking the information they believe. They are doing the exact same thing as the people they are so vehemently against.

And before you say "I'm not one of those people, they are a minority, they're bad apples", well, one bad apple spoils the bunch. There is a possibility this subreddit turns into a hateful echochamber, just like the reddits we're critiscizing.

So please, check your behaviour and improve.

Until next time

Vent about many things (anti-endo hate, not considering headmates as full people...)

I'm a little active, from time to time, on the fakeclaimercringe subreddit and I thought I was going to find people who are very accepting of all kinds of plurality.

I was right... and wrong.

I still managed to find people who told me headmates can never be fully different people from each other (no hate to that specific person as they were open to discussion, very nice and polite). If some systems don't consider their headmates to be fully different people and that's completely valid, why isn't it for us to consider headmates fully different people? We still take system accountability and consider the collective when talking to people, but that's because we're all stuffed into the same body, not because we're "all parts of the same person" or something. It's actually pretty much a trigger to us to say that we are all the same people. We have backstories create through exmemories that are subconsciously made by the brain to further differentiate us, we push changes in our mannerisms to make us feel better and more "coherent"... Why aren't we allowed to be different people? What happened to "I think, therefore I am"?

I still managed to find people who told me, and I quote :

>[plurality]'s a large percentage of the time a red flag for a disorder

>i just dont understand how someone having multiple personalities wouldnt be distressing?

...while also discrediting any endogenic plurality outside of tulpamancy for the reason that endogenic plurality isn't researched. (This individual is now blocked for my well-being)

Even more well-meaning people conflate endogenic plurality with having no trauma at all, and/or are sanist and think you can't be plural without something being wrong with you.

And if that is what people on a rather accepting subreddit, just imagine what it's like on CDD specific reddits (specifically r/DID and r/OSDD), on less accepting sides of the internet, or even irl. It's tiring. It makes me want to not participate in society anymore, at all, because what do you mean I get called a faker just for experiencing my life?

Ever thought something was plural when it was not?

Here's an example to show you what I mean : I had to learn to differentiate my intrusive thoughts from another headmate's voice because to me, they kind of sound the same. I used to blame some of my intrusive thoughts on a persecutor and it ended up causing conflict

There should be an "I genuinely don't see what the problem is" flair

I put the "they're claiming to have (disorder they claimed not to have)!" even if I don't know if they claimed not to have DID, because fakeclaiming plurality is almost always a variation of "system = DID, so person who claims to be a system is faking DID". They don't understand that systemhood doesn't equal disorder, which is insanely sanist. (the idea that "there must be something wrong with you if you are multiple people" is so widespread. Because of course, if you have DID, there is something wrong with you. /s)

Also I genuinely have NO idea how OP person saw this image and deduced that OOP didn't have DID. Introjects happen, and they are allowed to have, you know, their own opinions and identity, just like any other alter.

I had introjects who were not introjects? Tulpas who were not tulpas?

I consider myself as chargenic (among other stuff) because my first headmates were more or less characters I had invented. Technically, they should have been introjects, but they were not, because they were never supposed to be just characters.

For context, at the time their base idea showed up in my brain, I thought of them as "imaginary friends" because I had created them to mimic my best friend's imaginary friends as well (who might have been headmates too but I digress).

But by the time they were fully fleshed out, therefore gaining consciousness and independance, I was stuck ten feet deep into a crippling delusion my best friend and I had created for ourselves to survive how bland and terrifying the outer world felt to us, and also to justify why we felt like the odd ones out all the time. At that time, they became creatures from another world to me, superior beings that talked to me through telepathy from a higher dimension. This is why I also identify as deligenic.

This belief—it was, in our case, just a belief—disappeared as my life started to get better and when I realised I didn't need delusions to survive. But now I'm confused. My first headmates don't feel like introjects because they didn't exactly exist before I split them. They don't feel like tulpas because I didn't really create them through forcing and repeated interaction (though quite frankly, it could be that).

The only thing they feel like is... well, creatures from another dimension who just walked into my brain, but I also know that not to be true. The thing closest to that could be paras (MaDD), but if I do experience MaDD, it doesn't look exactly like that—when I daydream, I usually know it's fake. The rare cases in which I've daydreamt with the headmates, I interpreted the daydreams as visions from the past and the future. Even if I saw them as somewhat real, there was still a distance with what I saw as 100% real (even if it wasn't).

So uh... What are they?

P.S. I was also on the verge of plurality before that experience, having very vivid imaginary friends, projecting them around me and hearing them talk to me. I don't know if that was plural or not (at most, I'd define it as median), but it was certainly not fully multiple. The multiplicity truly began with the first headmates this post is about.

Is it possible to be So (or S?/So) if you hate authority and hierarchies?

I know a few people who would otherwise be So or S?/So if it weren't for "attention to authorities and hierarchies". They have a want for community and belonging, they are however extremely adamant about equity and fairness and don't want any hierarchy or form of authority. Is that incompatible with an So type?

Fakeclaimers unable to comprehend in-sys proposals

"How does this even work" That works because alters are different people who can build any types of relationships

At this point it's literally "this deviates too much from the norm so it's unvalid, which gives us full right to bully this person

Considering how the OOP is a minor, this is pathetic as everyone is insulting a literal child

I've read elsewhere that I should limit my instruments but which ones should I use in particular?

TW!!! We have an introject of a (more or less) dead person, is it disrespectful?

(we won't say who in particular because we don't deem it necessary)

To simplify it, the introject is a "copy" of a persona the dead person in question used to be, so they are more a fictive of that persona/character rather than a factive of the person who played it.

However, we still feel like it might be disrespectful to "make the dead rise again". Not that we can really control their existence.

Is it disrespectful? Because I would really hate it being the case. The introject is very important to us for a couple reasons.

Who's your weirdest headmate?

I'll go first : my weirdest headmate n°1 spot is disputed by two candidates.

On the left, Quartz/Calcite (it/its). It's a canyon? Cave? Refuge of sorts, apparently made out of pink quartz. Non-verbal, never fronts, shines to communicate (we somehow understand it), and just sits there. It's more a conscious part of our inner world than a fully conscious headmate, but it still qualifies.

On the right, Ju (a nickname, xe doesn't want xir real name to be revealed yet), (xe/they/ey/e/fae/ju/any neutral/neo/xeno). An eldritch being taken human form. Xe can bend the reality of our inner to xir will and to the extent of xir imagination (which is almost limitless). Xe smiles all the time, xir motives are unknown, xe rejects any labels because, as xe says, "if you label me as anything, I'll purposefully change myself to make that label untrue". Since xe can look like anything, we don't know what xir true form is, if xe has one, or even if the idea of a true form would even make sense with someone like xem.

(Sorry, that was a long paragraph.)

But who's your weirdest/oddest/most standing out headmate?

This trend except we cheated because we don't have many fictives/factives

From top left to bottom right :

  1. Haruka Tenou/Sailor Uranus (Sailor Moon)

  2. Eris, goddess of discord (greek mythology)

  3. Harmonia, goddess of concord (greek mygology)

  4. Ophélie (The Mirror Visitor saga)

  5. Ayano Aishi (Yandere Simulator)

  6. The body's father

I have no idea how to tag this

¹They also ignore the fact that a lot of disordered people don't even know there is a problem with themself until they come across a label that says "yeah that experience is a disorder".

Alternatively, self-dx may not grant you accomodations from others but it can let you find self-accomodations (e.g. fidget toys, stimming, buying soundproof headphones, etc). But they act like self-accomodations are illegal, so...

²Usually, people who self-dx don't randomly see it on tiktok and decide they have it. Usually, they come across the term blissfully unaware they could have it, look it up, realise it sounds familiar to your experience, do more research, read books, be convinced at some point you do not have it, fall victim to impostor syndrome, and *then* allow yourself to say you may have it. And even then, have trouble saying it or asking accomodations for it because of impostor syndrome.

Also, pretty sure the reason why accomodations are so hard to get are more complex than just "it's because some people fake so we'd rather not give them to just anyone". Pretty sure it's a more complex, layered societal structure.

³The argument of "it's likely not autism" is also how many afab autistic people are diagnosed with BPD instead. It's also how black people are dismissed and told "you're just weird because you're not white".

And while yes, *some* people self-dx just for attention, these people are a minority. Plus many people who self-dx a disorder they don't have are genuinely mistaken, not malicious.

This paragraph especially made me laugh because they explain extensively what autism is and isn't while candycourn has been (formally, I think) dxed with autism and ADHD. So, they know what autism feels like, maybe even better than the fakeclaimer.

My personal opinion on self-dx is that everyone should be cautious about it. It's definitely not a perfect tool. But as there is a lack of better options, it's hypocritical to say that no one, ever, should question if they may or may not have this or that disorder.

Memes about our system because after alll why not (please read post or you'll be confused)

For context, we have two subsystems : Ithel and Sepia

There are 3 clusters in Ithel :

  • Mountain cluster (Ithel & Snowl, Ether, Wolf)
  • Forest cluster (Morgane and Victor + a little which we don't post about)
  • Monster cluster [self-proclaimed] (Alistair, Faith, Juniper, Shadow)

There are also 3 clusters in Sepia :

  • Unnamed cluster (Laur, Eleanor)
  • Detective cluster (Conan, Peter)
  • Sky cluster (Celeste, Haruka)
  • + a couple free electrons : Sureau, Mel, Eris

If you have any questions go ahead!

Claiming the human mind is not imaginative enough to make a headmate pregnant and to cause phantom sensations

(I have no idea what I should have put this under ngl, the person possibly didn't even claim a disorder so 🤷)

Memes about plurality because I'd rather laugh than cry

(CDD = Complex Dissociative Disorder = DID, OSDD-1, UDD, etc = disso disorders that cause plurality)

1st meme is about anti-endo hate and more largely hate toward any system who wasn't created by trauma AND who isn't disordered

2nd is about how fakeclaiming, just like any other form of discrimination, copy-pastes arguments from previous discriminations that are less trendy to discriminate now

3rd and 4th are pretty self-explanatory
