I'm trying to rng manipulate for a shiny poipole and type null. I see that for poipole, people just use 3dsrngtool and the time calculator section, use the starting frame that they'd get when they launch the game which gets automatically adjusted when finding the initial seed, and use the time it gives for eon timer. But when I see people talk about doing type null, it seems that they recommend only using the QR code method of finding your current/starting frame and doing it that way. Am I understanding correctly that the reason for using QR code in this scenario over just using the regular time calculator in 3dsrngtool, is because the npcs in the area that you get type null can move? Which changes the current frame an unpredictable amount? And the place where you get poipole, they don't move?

So for the shiny starter in hgss I set up the cute charm glitch using imablisy's tutorial which did end up getting shiny starter. The method for the starter, though, was to walk a certain path after leaving your house, and it had to be exactly perfect. But it didn't matter that your TID/SID was. I've seen another version for hgss and what I used for dppt with knowing the TID/SID and manipulating the date and time and doing it that way. That made me wonder, was the date and time method just not avalible when blisy made his hgss cute charm vid? And it also made me wonder how the first glitch works for any TID/SID. Is it just time spent in the overworld generates a certain starter seed, regardless of TID/SID? It's just interesting to me.

I've been trading a lot recently and wanted to look at some trades from a few years ago, but my notebook only goes back to 2026... is there any way to go back further?
