Update: the journey continues 😅 WIP

New version of my sound redirecting grip. Yes I know, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the stock speaker, but I think this does help! And this version is MAX ergonomic! Just a little on the chonkier side. Haha

I do have plans to get to final version and post them on Etsy and Cults3D after vacation later this week. Not sure about sharing files for free because I don’t want them to end up in print farms or some kids “custom 3D prints” marketplace listing. Not to mention, this has taken a lot of time and material. Thoughts?

UPDATE: My sound redirecting design has become a slim grip😎🤘🏻

So the other day I posted a picture of a little sound redirecting add on for the rotate. After some time and some elbow grease, this is what I’ve come up with.

It does have a built in channel to redirect sound toward the front of the device which is pretty effective at doing what it says it does and also eliminates accidental finger mites. I wanted the grip to lend itself well to the way I use the device and I didn’t want to drastically increase the foot print of the device so as to maintain pocket-ability. I think I’ve accomplished my goals and I’m mostly happy! Just a couple more tweaks😅

What are your thoughts? Also I’m out of black, so you get clear haha

My updated one handed 3DS setup and Ultra Moon at 2x🤯

I was able to increase the size of both screens (takes a lot of patience because there’s no grid or snap function) and set the stick and main buttons on the right as it’s the hand I usually hold the rotate it, but also have the Dpad on the left allowing me to switch hands.

Settings:

Turn on Asynchronous shaders
Resolution: x2

I made a little add on that redirects sound to the front of the device.

Snaps into the 2 top screw holes on the back of the device. Hard to see in the pictures, but I tried to make a smooth channel for the sound to carry through. Also slightly angled the back surface to sit flush on a table. Still not perfect, but it’s better than accidentally muting my device with my finger every 10 seconds. 🤘🏻

This thing is a great desk companion!

I am seriously in love with this little device! The uniqueness of the screen aspect, form factor, and of course its big gimmick make me want to pick it up and play with it. And I typically hate touch controls, but in a pinch and with the ability to easily one hand this little thing, I don’t hate playing this way from time to time. Android was the right choice for the OS🤘🏻

This thing blows my mind🤯

I recently picked up a G2 with some skepticism about its ability to play switch and PC games. Switch has been almost perfect, and while compatibility is a bit of a back and forth with PC, I’ve been very impressed that I can play Sleeping Dogs and Farcry 3 almost perfectly!

I made this custom New 3DS XL case and I’m loving the color combo!😍

Shell is NOT my design, done by @Nitrous on maker world. Just used Canva to put together the picture. What do you think?

Instead of buying an MCon or Abxysolute M4, I made a MagSafe clip for my old N30 Pro

Took me a little while to finally sit down and design this even after thinking about it many times. I have a telescopic controller for my phone, but it’s honestly not that comfy to use and not at all pocket friendly. So I started looking at the MCon and the M4 controllers… can’t justify spending the money when we’ve got MagSafe at home🤣

Honestly I am really impressed with how usable and comfy this setup is! What do you think of it?
