Does your operating hours align with the age of your membership?
Our lodge is open five days a week from 4 -9pm-ish. Our median age is 70. There are rarely any activities on a Saturday night, and frequently there are no activities on a Friday night. Younger members with families won't usually come out on a weekday night. Older members usually don't come out at night at all. Leadership complains about membership engagement.

Hi everyone — upfront disclosure: I'm with the team behind Piccolo Padre B29, a fine dining restaurant here in Angeles City, Pampanga. This isn't a disguised recommendation — we're the ones telling you to come try it.
Piccolo Padre B29 is at Villa B29, Oasis Hotel Compound, Anunas, Angeles City. Chef Danilo Giampaolo — third-generation Venetian chef, born in Milan — runs the kitchen himself and comes out to talk guests through the dishes. His wife, Chef Aida, makes all the pasta by hand, trained under his mother for five years.
A few dishes locals keep coming back for:
- Girasoli Alla Boscaiola — handmade sunflower-shaped ravioli, a two-generation family recipe
- Lamb Rack Scottaditi — 7-month lamb rack, garlic confit, vermouth reduction
- Oyster Rockefeller Inferno — baked oysters, flamed tableside
- Ahi Katsu — sashimi-grade tuna, a recipe Chef Danilo developed while working in Hawaii
We also handle private dinners, engagement parties, and holiday bookings — good size for intimate celebrations (~60 guests).

What will P300,000/month get me?
I'd prefer to spend less, maybe around P225,000/month. I'm retired. I like walkable areas with food and shopping options within an hour of a major airport.

Throw garbage all year, then act surprised when the waterways get clogged and blame the government for the flooding (partly the one to be blamed for the flood control project issues).
The government has a responsibility to provide proper waste management and maintain drainage, but citizens also have a responsibility to dispose of their trash properly. Accountability goes both ways.

Are permabans based on ISP?
I got permanently banned for "community standards," I don't know specifically what it was for.
So, I tried to create a new account but it keeps linking back to my banned account.
Are these bans based on my ISP? Like if I got a different phone, could I just open a new account? It's not a huge deal, but there are some groups I like to follow.

My wife and I are mid-sixties. We heard that Iloilo has a vibrant food scene. We want to check it out. Can someone recommend a hotel in an area that is walkable and has a lot of food options. We tend to prefer more upscale accommodations. We are from US.

when did schools stop teaching "shop" classes?
I'm an older person for sure. Even in middle school we had wood shop and metal shop. In retrospect, I'm not so sure letting a 12 year old run a metal lathe was such a good idea. But we did. We also had a foundry and made tool and die casts. High school also had an auto shop.
Seems a little short-sighted to eliminate these programs.

Don't know if this is the right community to post in. I developed what was diagnosed as carbuncles earlier this year. I had no idea what it was or how it developed. It was so painful it got to the point where I would have to poop in the shower standing up. Two of three popped and there was A LOT of drainage. It was touch and go for a couple of weeks. But one seems to have never quite healed.
Is this something I just have to live with? Is there a link between diet? It doesn't drainage heavily, but it does drain.
Any insight is appreciated
