When we see that NDEs are very different from one another depending on cultural influence, why have we landed on the conclusion that they are all real, instead of none of them are real?

I've seen many NDEs and while they have some similarities, they are vastly different from one another. Some people go to hell, purgatory, outer space, see a religious diety, etc. These seem to be influenced by personal beliefs. Which, if that is true, wouldn't it make much more sense if NDEs are products of the brain that we can't understand?

I'd say the NDEs in which people are floating outside their bodies and not going to some afterlife are real. These produce veridical information, so I'm inclined to believe it really is consciousness existing outside of the brain. Since those people haven't gotten past the point of no return, my guess would be that the veil isn't completely lifted until the body is biologically dead. No return. That is assuming that OOB NDEs are the only ones that are real.

The other NDEs, when people go elsewhere, why did we reach the conclusion that they are real? It seems far more likely that the differences imply it is a result of the brain we can't understand. Saying that the afterlife is so varied seems like mental gymnastics to believe they are real experiences of the other side. I understand the similarities, but that could be something that is just ingrained in our system.

Is this conclusion problematic thinking? Why do we believe these experiences are proof of a varied afterlife, when logically speaking, it is far more likely that they are products of the mind due to how varied they are? I'm not for either side by the way. I just want to know why we come to the less plausible conclusion.

How can you people believe in all of this stuff, despite knowing there's multiple communities on reddit with arguments that destroy faith?

How does one know it's true? My family doesn't have faith, they just know. I'm so confused and scared. I often wonder why humanity made it a question of "what happens after we die?". In my mind, why does anything need to happen? Death, logically speaking, is just that. Death. You're gone. You don't exist. At what point did we start questioning if something happens, when nothing needs to happen? It just boggles my mind. I've had multiple blessings about this darkness and supreme sadness. I've been a sobbing mess. I'm 24 btw, not some teenager. I just don't understand how you guys believe in this stuff and I want to know. I want to believe, not because I want it to be true, but because it is true.

Living with autism my whole life has shown me how evil the world truly is. I have grown to hate people because of it.

I was diagnosed when I was much younger than I am now. It was an older diagnosis granted, but I have high functioning autism, and aspergers. Throughout my entire life, I have been shown almost nothing but alienation. I remember when I was about 10 I invited people to my birthday party and no one showed up. My sister got mad and knocked door to door and ensured people got there because I wasn't going to start the party without my so called "friends".

Fast forward to now. I'm still treated as an outcast. Fake friends who just don't want to talk to me anymore. Happens all the time. I've learned that no one cares about my feelings and everyone just thinks I'm weird. All i want is to not be so lonely. Is that too much too ask?

The problem is I have ASD level 1, or whatever they want to label it as. The kind of autism that's not super noticeable. Some people's autism is more noticeable, and when they do or say something out of what is considered ordinary, people will usually understand that they have a disability and behave more kindly to them. That's not the case with me. It's not obvious, which means anytime i try to socialize, people come to the conclusion that I'm weird. So I'm left alone. Unwanted.

I have come to learn that people do not like anything outside of what they consider "normal". Instead of showing kindness, they'd rather treat me like I'm nothing. I have grown to have a general distasteful perception of people. I am filled with so much anger and hate.

I don't think anyone can blame me for feeling this way.

I'm terrified of finding happiness in a romantic partner.

As a 23M, my experience with dating has been unpleasant. I've been cheated on. My ex wife emotionally abused me. Every girl I've almost gotten into a relationship with had either been crazy, or lied to me about seeing someone and dragged me along.

In short, I literally do not know what it'll be like to be loved. To be wanted. To have someone for once treat me like a human being. If that ever does happen, i will be terrified of that happiness. I feel this way, because i know it'll end. Therfore, I prevent myself from becoming attached and comfortable. The thought of being vulnerable scares me.

Are women still being approached by men often, or is it now rare?

I saw a comment on a video about the decline of in person attention due to more and more people being glued to their phones. That got me thinking. I know this change has been felt throughout men. Granted it was never common for a man to be approached, but now its even more rare. Does that make sense?

So, I wonder. Are women impacted by this problem as well? Is attention in public less than it used to be, or is it still plentiful? It's the main reason that I don't personally approach an attractive woman. I don't wish to annoy them. I've never had attention on me, but even if everyone is being nice when they approach, surely it gets repetitive if it happens enough, right?

Is approaching rare for women too? Should I approach more? Would it make someone's day as long as I'm respectful? Or is the attention still so much that it's annoying? I'd like to know if woman are just as lonely as men, so i can do something about it. Help people out i see by saying hi, yknow?

M23. I've struggled doing anything productive my entire life due to Autism and ADHD. I can't stop thinking about how screwed I am in this world.

Pretty much my entire life i have never been able to simply function. My mother was loving, but never gave me chores or enforced punishment. My father was a parent, but a terrible dad. He was always the enforcement and discipline. Oftentimes not doing a chore would lead to verbal or physical abuse. If I didn't clean my room, he'd put his hands on my arms and literally make me clean. That was a decade ago though. Through therapy and divorce, he's a much better man, and to this day still takes accountability for how I was treated. So, he WAS an asshole, but understand he most certainly isn't anymore.

For as long as I can remember, sometimes, when I need to do something, my body just, shuts down. If I need to put dishes away, sometimes, it feels like I can't move. Like I'm so exhausted. I WANT to get it done, but I just. Stare. Blank mind. Can barely move limbs. This happens sometimes, not often. When this happens to me, no matter how much someone yells at me, I just don't care. I completely shut off. Like i want to sleep. Whether this has been how I've been all my life, or is potentially because of the abuse, remains unknown. I can't think back to when it started.

My brain refuses to leisurely do anything that isn't entertaining in the slightest. I never stood a chance in high school. Never graduated. Couldn't care enough to get on the computer and do assignments. I was just so depressed. My life has been too comfortable and I hate that about it. I spent so much time doing video games or watching something on my phone. Sometimes I get so angry that I want to smash all of my very expensive equipment, because in my eyes, I don't deserve a thing I own. Sometimes I want to only expose my brain to just work. To make my life a living hell to pay back for all the times my family could've used my help and I did nothing. Wake up, eat, and only work. For weeks. Until my stupid brain can stop whining anytime I need to do something remotely productive. I see myself as a lazy bumb who should be tied to a leash and worked like a dog. The worst part? My brain has a very vivid imagination. Even if I had nothing to entertain myself, my brain can do that for me. Anytime I try to do a task, I always have a way to distract myself. It's exhausting.

My family wants me to find a loving partner someday. I don't think it's going to happen. I don't put myself out there because there's just no point. Don't get me wrong, I'm a great supportive partner. However, I'm not remotely close to being an actual adult. I'm not independent. So, to me, I feel worthless to the other gender and therfore I don't even bother. I feel so lonely because of this, but I'll manage. That's just how it is. Whether it's natural selection, or the natural need for someone to support, I don't know.

I have ambitions. I have goals. I just can't get off my ass to do them. It infuriates me. My brain can't be uncomfortable. I never experienced proper discipline growing up. I know they say to approach this with compassion, but sometimes I want to approach it with cruelty. Force myself to work. Make myself a more productive person. Cold turkey any form of entertainment and effectively become a slave to myself. Unless this will only worsen the depression. I don't know what to do. I don't know how I'm going to live in this world. I have therapy but only once a week and that's too slow. I want results now. Not in 3 months from now. I feel like my time is running out and once my mom dies, well.

I am surely fucked.

I need any kind of advice. I fear the situation is dire.

Is there more than 1 type of mech? What made the Titanfall mechs special is that each of them felt like a hero with their own weapons and abilities.

For people who have played the playtest, is that in the game? From what I've seen from trailers, there's only one really basic looking mech. The mechs should be redesigned. A slick, Gundam esk style would work well for this game.

I don't like the electronic beat in "Imposter" and it throws the whole song off for me. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

When the song begins, you know that little beat that plays at the beginning? The one that matches the rhythm of the chorus? I wish the song didn't have that. If there was one thing I could change about the song, it would be to remove that. The chorus sounds great, the instrumentals sound great too, but it all is undermined by that weird beat. The lyrics represent the rhythm. I don't know why they decided we needed something else on top of the lyrics.

To me, it's just annoying. If that part was gone, the song would sound so much better. The chorus should've just been the instruments, with the sound of the lyrics guiding the rhythm. Nothing else. Anyone else feel this way?
