My kids have been watching old Sesame Street episodes. The molasses jalapeño stew from the episode Grouchytown(1989) actually sounds like it has potential

Edit: forgot to add, it is an OG Neo, not a deuce
Followed one of the recipes from a Google search(used Tender-quick) . Came out a bit bland. Might have to tweek it a little.
I picked up a jerky gun on clearance, and am going to try my hand at making jerky with ground beef for the first time(I've done plenty of cut meat jerkies). But looking at recipes online, I keep seeing a discrepancy in Tender-quick use. Some say 1½ tsp per pound, and others say 1½ Tbsp per pound. Which is it?
I'm terrible at names. This started years ago with me wanting to make something like cassolet, but realizing after I started that I didn't actually have the right ingredients. Its since moved from the Dutch oven to an instant pot and evolved a little, and has become something of a staple in my house.
Lentil “Goo”
* 1-1½ lb boneless chicken thighs
* Salt, pepper, garlic powder
* 1 pkg little smokies(roughly 1 lb of any cut up smoked sausage will work here, little smokies just don't need to be cut up)
* Mirepoix mix
*2 Tbsp ketchup
*1 lb dried lentils
* 4 cups chicken stock
* Bay leaf
Season chicken heavily with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Set pressure cooker to “saute,” add a couple Tbsp oil, and brown chicken. Remove chicken and reserve. Brown little smokies. Remove and reserve. Add mirepoix, and saute until softened. Add ketchup, and saute until darkened somewhat and thickened slightly. Add stock, lentils, reserved chicken and sausages, stir to break up fond, and add bay leaf. Seal lid, and set to pressure cook for 30 minutes. When done, vent and open. Fish out bay leaf, and stir to break up chicken. Serve with good bread(should be thick enough to spread on the pieces of bread).
Plenty of leftovers. Freezes well
It was actually worse yesterday, but I didn't get the chance to take the drone out
Picked up a used Kindle Paperwhite(pretty cheap now that Amazon stopped supporting them), jailbroke it, and put KoReader on. Its nice being able to read with the lit screen at home, but still be able to toss the X4 in my pocket to read on break at work, and being able to sync them up so I don't lose my place is nice(especially on a book this long). They make a nice pair.
And I didn't really get just how small the X4 until I had the Kindle for a side by side
Just opened the package about a half hour or so, and played it while I waited for my daughter to get dropped off from pre-school. It sounds great, durable build(on par with Easttops), but it does like to snag any whiskers when you're playing.
And yes, I do like smaller harps.
1377 with shoulder stock. The scope is a Barska Rimfire 3-7x20, that will be mounted as soon as the new breech shows up. Trigger has been tuned to a crisp ~3lb(my measurement tool at the moment is "feels like," but I did build competition 1911s for a few years, so I'm confident I'm in the ballpark, at least). And I am currently working on modifying a 3D printed moderator to be non-removable(NYDEC regs dont allow hunting with removables)
And to everyone that is gonna say "you should have gone with a 1322 for hunting," I know. But NYDEC was stupid, and decided to use muzzle velocity to decide if an airgun was legal for hunting, instead of being sensible and using fpe. And a 1322 don't hit the 600 fps necessary to pass muster. So I have to use a 1377, knowing it is a headshot only, 25-30 yard max gun. Which doesn't bother me.
Not garlic bread, which seems to be all that google wants to give me, but the seasoned italian or french loaves in the bakery section.
