Herring in sour cream salad using leaf lettuce, green onion and dill from my garden
u/Violuthier — 4 days ago

Benson was annexed by the city of Omaha in 1917.
I used a variety of leaf lettuces, some oxalis and a green onion. For dressing I used EVOO and unfiltered cider vinegar with a few grinds of black pepper.
Found in an old file cabinet. I scanned one of the negs, made a positive, cleaned it up and colorized it.
These have high levels of Vitamin C, potassium and several powerful antioxidants, e.g. various carotenoids such as lutein and zeaxanthin which are known to promote eye health, especially macular degeneration and perhaps cataract formation.
With basil and green onion from the garden.
