I am losing my mind.

I moved states and have NEVER had a problem with my Durango. Meticulous oil changes and maintenance since I built the thing.

Well of course when I finally get settled in and go to take my Durango for an inspection, the check engine light comes on. P3449, did a ton of research, and saved up to purchase all new MDS solenoids.

Last night I tore down the top end, replaced all the solenoids, and put everything back together. Took a few hours and it's also 115° outside so not the most fun time. Went to get an inspection today and they couldn't do it because the code is stored DCT. Fine I'll drive around a bit, the thing technically isn't registered in the new state and the old state registration is expired so fingers crossed nothing runs my plates.

Well the damn light came back on. P3449!!! I'm thinking wiring issue now but none of the wires looked freyed or damaged.

Am I doing another teardown 😭

So I've become the head of a new GIS department at my work! Yay! Except for the fact that Esri is confusing as all hell and I've never set up an account or anything similar, it's always been done before I joined a company.

We have a single creator license and all of our maps are 'public'. There has been a discussion on having the maps behind a login. I would rather not provide the Creator/admin login to agents for the webmap viewing, so we purchased a Viewer License.

My question is, we have 70+ employees, some of which are contract employees so not fully on payroll year round.

Would it be better to go the enterprise route? I've worked for companies that use SSO for this type of thing tied to email accounts, how does this set up work?

Is this something Esri technical support would be able to help out with?

My fiance and I have a friend who has been in a bad place, well most of his life. He's 40 years old and never has had the ability financially to live on his own. For the last 5 years he was living with his highschool friends who owned the home. He paid them for utilities and food when he could.

He works a job that doesn't pay the greatest, especially for his area. Last year he got in a car accident and totalled his car, so his old roommate talked him into leasing a brand new Lincoln at $540/month, with his new insurance being nearly $400/month.

He recently moved in with my fiance and I and our goal is to help him get to a space that is better for him mentally and financially but now I'm having some regrets. We agreed on a rent that he will not be able to pay, and he still hasn't paid us for the very increased cost in groceries that has occurred. Now obviously I'm sympathetic towards his situation, but I have a feeling that in 3 months time this will all come to a head.

New to ArcGIS, but not GIS if that makes sense? I am creating layouts for parcels and I really like the clip to index feature when doing a spatial series. It looks so clean and makes it so that only one parcel is showing:

Where I am having the most trouble is I have about 30 of these to create, all for different parcels. I have found that I need to select the new parcel in the contents page and then if I go back to the map page only the parcel I have selected is shown on the map. Quite annoying.

I tried with 'Bookmarks' to see if that made things easier, but I could not find a way to clip to index with a bookmark.

Is there an easier way to do what I am doing to create these exhibits or is this a limitation of the software?

I have a house next to me that's abandoned however the neighbor comes by and parks vans in front and leaves them. This particular van has been parked since about May, maybe even April, undriven.

It got so bad that I called the non emergency number to get them tagged because I need to schedule a car delivery and they are parked at the end of my driveway.

The cars were tagged June 6th. I called for an update July 13th. I then called for an update again, this time they sent an officer to my house who said, "We are very short staffed." Like that's my fault? Listen man who tows the cars, do I just call any tow company?

We have a legacy VM running in a Google Workspace. It automates a very crucial part of my company. Three days ago it stopped its automation and when logging in this morning it actually stopped its instance.

Now I am getting the following error when trying to restart:
 A n1-standard-2 VM instance is currently unavailable in the us-central1-c zone. Alternatively, you can try your request again with a different VM hardware configuration or at a later time. For more information, see the troubleshooting documentation.

I have tried an e2, different versions of n1 and n2. This is not a very heavy machine, it downloads and excel sheet from a server, and then rewrites a different program to match the sheet. It can be done manually but this was nice to have running every 1 hour or so.

When going deeper into this, I am getting the error ZONE_RESOURCE_POOL_EXHAUSTED, however when checking the available zones for this VM it says that its zone is available!!

My only options are to wait or completely rebuild this VM from the ground up in a different zone because I cannot create a copy of the instance in its current state.

Does ANYBODY have any additional support information other than Gemini (Who is extremely useless and just tells me to casually rebuild the VM in a new zone or change the hardware)?

At this point I am thinking about purchasing a Raspberry Pi and running it off of that.

Doing a rewatch and this got me thinking, do firms like Davis And Main actually exist?

Jimmy was a good lawyer, and he stumbled upon the sandpiper case. But to get hired at another firm on a partner track and get the car, the cocobolo desk, the apartment, all before any probationary period??

Or is this a suspension of belief for a TV show?

Edit: Okay yes I realize Jimmy brought Sandpiper to Davis and Main (Technically he brought it to HHM who in turn hired Davis and Main) BUT from the perspective of Cliff, Jimmy was a lawyer who had little to no experience working at ANY firm, working public defense and elder law, so to get the red carpet treatment with an apartment, car, and cocobolo desk without any probationary period is crazy to me.

Hello Brothers! I was raised in a lodge that was very open and accepting regardless of skin color, sexuality, political beliefs, and it was a great time with a great group.

Life happened and I had to move to an area that really isn't known for being progressive, so I'm double worried about finding a lodge that is fairly open and progressive in my area.

What is your advice? Should I put the craft on pause or try to see how lodges actually are in my area.

I recently upgraded to a Dennon AVR-X1800H receiver. I have 5.1 surround sound through some Sony 6ohm speakers in an untreated room in an open concept living/kitchen area. I rent so honestly not looking for treatment advice at this time, but my receiver came with this weird microphone and tripod setup, talking about room calibration and whatnot.

I'm not an audiophile, but is the treatment worth the steps? What does it do exactly?

I love SOTF, Ive completed it a few times but I finally got my fiance to want to play.

Here's the thing, I want to know if it's possible to host a modded lobby where there are cheats or I can give myself some items. Mainly the shotgun and ammo, I don't want to play the vanilla version that takes forever because we don't have a lot of time so I want to speed run as much as I can.

Is there a console in the game I can use to spawn in the items? I remember when it first came out I would just edit the inventory in the save file, is that still an option?

I know you cannot merge or combine items that are different, polylines/polygons/etc.

I have a line and then surrounding that line I have a buffer, which means I have two different layers. A polyline Layer and a polygon layer. This was fine when all we had was just the one line and the one buffer, however the project has now ballooned and we have the following layers:

Route A Line
Route A Buffer

Route B Line
Route B Buffer

Route C Line
Route C Buffer

And so on. I have agents who use the ArcOnline map to view these and send exhibits and explaining to them that they need to turn of both the line AND the buffer layer is getting daunting.

Any clever work arounds that people have? Should I turn my buffer polygon into a polyline feature? If I do that can I still make the interior shaded?

I've had the same insurance company since I got my license. Right when my 6 month policy expired I scraped a pole. I wasn't going to go through insurance for this as I thought this was a cheap fix, however after talking to a few shops it turns out this is like a $5k fix.

At this same time I'm not sure what deductable I had when this occurred. Originally I had a $4k deductible but when the policy renewed I brought that down to $250.

It's been a few months since the incident and now I want to know how screwed am I? I want to get this fixed but I also don't want to be dinged for fraud, I'm not trying to fraud I just don't know when it happened and what I was covered under

EDIT: Thank you all for confirming my suspicion that this would look to be fraud. It's honestly not a huge scrape or gash and considering I don't go to my passenger side of my car fairly easy to miss. I will just pay out of pocket once I save up.

I played BF1 when it first came out and LOVED it. So much so that I wanted to play with my friend recently.

We both purchased the game but guess what??? WE CANT PLAY WITH EACH OTHER. Both on PC, both in the same party, but cannot join games together. One of us has to join a match, and then the other has to hit 'play' and then it says 'Failed to find game'.

0/10 wtf. Why make a party system where you dont actually play with your party.

Servers weren't full either, 50/64 players so the servers had space!

Hello! I just got offered a job as a 1099 contractor, however they require me to form an LLC for payment purposes.

I plan on using the funds from this job to pay finish the restoration of my classic car. Basically all the funds are going to be used towards this.

I understand I can take "owners Deductions" and everything, but what if I just paid for the car parts from the bank account of the LLC?

Would it be easier if I took owner deductions every month like a payroll? A consistent amount?

I have two dogs, have had them for 3+ years.

I have another cat I've had for 4+ years.

This past year we rescued 2 stray kittens from the street. Everyone gets along, the kittens are almost a year old and have been spayed. One of the kittens does her business in the litter box room all the time.

The other kitten will pee in the dog food bowl or run into the office and pee on their bed. But not all the time, and she will even sleep in the dog bed WITH the dogs for about a week before she pees on it.

She will also pee on my clothes occasionally if I leave them out. Again, first couple of days she will use them as a bed then then she will pee.

It is not a UTI, and it sounds behavioral/territorial. I'm getting sick of the smell. She doesn't pee on the couch, or randomly on the floors, or on other beds. Just the dogs stuff and my stuff.

I talked to the vet who mentioned territorial but idk how to make sure she feels secure and safe?

I recall around 15 years ago there was a game that me and my friends could play. What was unique was my computer at the time could run this game AND skype at the same time. Ya know, pre discord.

This game was called Ace of Spades.

Battlebit reminded me a lot of that game, and to this day does with seeing how the playerbase is in decline.

So we live in Texas, Texas has those pesky little fire ants.Anyway, we try to keep the ant hills at bay, but they keep popping up and I'm not a huge fan of poisoning my yard cuz ants exist.

I have a Husky mix, and she LOVES our backyard. I swear she would live outside if we let her. She's super smart and she has actually escaped the yard a few times to frolick in the street.

She does this thing where she sits on the fire ant hills, and in turn the ants bite her. And then she spends the whole night scratching at the hives.

How do I train her to not sit on ant hills? It's not like the ants are in the same spot all the time. I feel so bad when she's shaking the bed scratching.
