Hi everyone! This is my first year teaching 5th grade, so I’m making some changes to my new classroom. I teach at a low-income Title 1 school and it’s important that my students have an organized, comfortable learning environment. I’ve already spent about $500 of my own money, and these are some of the items I have left on my list. So far, I have purchased the more consumable items, like extra paper, pencils, hand sanitizer, tissues, and prize bin items. This list covers some of the bigger, more expensive items that I’ll be able to use in my classroom for years to come, like storage carts, reusable materials, flexible seating, and warm classroom lighting. Better classroom organization makes for a more welcoming environment for learning, and softer lighting creates a calmer environment for everyone. The stools and floor seating are new to me this year; I wanted to create flexible options for students to have the freedom to work in groups and collaborate. The board games like Guess Who and Tic Tac Toe will be used for special occasions like classroom parties.

I’ve been taking 100mg CBD tincture nightly for around a year with no negative effects. I wanted to add something that might aid in my sleep. Now, I am in the first week of adjusting to Zoloft, so I’m aware that may have played a role, but I took 5mg of CBN last night and for about 3 hours had horrible anxiety. Racing heart, jerking awake thinking I wasn’t breathing, it was horrible. Anyone else ever experience this? It’s the Vlasic CBN Isolate Tincture 1200mg bottle. I took 1/8 of a dropper to start which should have been about 5mg.

I was on Lexapro for 3 years, over time went up to 20mg. It was very emotionally blunting and I gained weight, so 6 months ago I tapered off. Overall I was okay until recently I’ve had panic attacks again, and my stress migraines have ramped up so I went to a psychiatrist to discuss different options. I should be starting 25mg Zoloft this weekend, I’m a little nervous! What early side effects did you experience and how long did they take to level out?

I’ve watched MIB more times than I can count as it came out the year I was born, major rewatch movie throughout my childhood. I had seen the second one a couple times but could never remember the details of it, and today I decided to binge all 3.

I really hate that they changed the color of the neuralizer. The red is just so classic, something about the blue just doesn’t feel right. Anyone know why they did that? Also, the elevator changes. In 1 it’s a classic elevator, then in 2 and in the 1969 scenes it’s a futuristic pod type elevator. Continuity mistake or intentional?

Movie 2: Is Kay Laura’s father? I know it was implied, but I’m not sure. If so, that would mean Lauranna already had the kid before she died, so Kay knew about her? Also what happened to Morgue girl? I had hoped they would at least mention why she left MIB.

Movie 3: I’m glad Griffin didn’t die, I really thought that was what he “saw” when he said “where there is death there is always death”. I liked the Jay’s dad twist a lot, definitely tugged at my heart strings. Makes you wonder how close of tabs Kay kept on Jay his whole life. Oh and the Easter egg at the fair “Meet the famous talking pug” with a picture of Frank 😂 hilarious. Too bad he didn’t make an appearance in 3.

Overall, I like the way they wrapped up the story, but I would also be happy with 1 being a standalone movie. But perhaps I’m biased due to nostalgia.

I don’t think I’ll even bother to watch 4. I’m not usually a fan of reboots and I haven’t heard any good things about it.

My PCP referred me to neuro today, so I asked what to do in the meantime in the case of migraine. I had one coming on during the appointment and was feeling emotional and anxious. I want prevention, open to abortives but I don’t want to rely on them. She said to get naproxen and try that, and I’m pleasantly surprised, it actually works! The pain before was only a 4, so I took one 220 mg capsule. One hour later the pain is mostly gone, I still feel off but the headache is way better and I don’t feel nauseous. Tylenol and ibuprofen usually just make me puke then I’m back in pain, so I’m glad to find something to use in a pinch.

Just read about his podcast, cult affiliation and twitter escapades. Just glad to have another reason to hate Christopher!

On my umpteenth rewatch, finishing up season 2 now. I’m just realizing that in all of the squabbles and fights that Emily and Lorelei have, Lorelai is always the one to apologize. Emily has such a crazy way of flipping every situation and making the other person feel at fault, or nothing is ever said and they just pretend nothing happened. Lorelai can be just as stubborn and insufferable, but coming from someone with a crazy manipulative mother, it makes me sad for Lorelai.

I’ve previously been taking sumatriptan when I get a migraine. I got it from ZipHealth after having several migraines and needing something better than excedrin. I took it several times then had a bad experience with it so decided to make a doctors appointment to talk about preventative options rather than abortives. At this point, finding a different doctor is not an option. This was the only one on my insurance list taking new clients anytime soon.

She first challenged whether what I have are migraines, asking how I know if I’ve never been formally diagnosed. I explained all of the symptoms (light and sound sensitive, pounding headache, vomiting, shaking, aura that nearly blinds me, overall body aches and feeling foggy for days after)

She told me to keep a 2 week headache journal, get blood work, and see their behavior health person about anxiety medication before we will talk about migraine prevention. My fear is, what if I don’t get a debilitating one in the next two weeks? Am I just screwed?

I feel so silly for this. I typically go to the gym 3x a week, but I’m not an expert so I stick with machines so I don’t have to worry about form as much. I took about a month break and went back yesterday. I pretty much did whole body - hip adductors and abductors, shoulder press, bicep curls, abdominal crunch and abdominal twist. I’m not sure which exercise caused this, but pain woke me up at 2am this morning. My lumbar down to the top of my glutes is so tight (back muscles feel rock hard) and making it nearly impossible to move. Even walking hurts. I’ve been doing ice and heat and light stretches and hoping for the best.

It’s my third time taking it. It knocked out the headache and light sensitivity quickly, but I’m feeling shaky and like I’m getting a panic attack. Not sure if it’s just my anxiety or a side effect of the drug

Am I crazy? Season 3 episode 1, AK walks into the clinic and has whiteboards. Pulls the board down, reveals the flier, etc. then in the next episode, she has the same blackboards as seasons 1-2. Seems like a silly filming mistake to make

Caught a mistake in OOTP! Near the end, when Dumbledore shows Harry the prophecy. Harry asks “so it said something like ‘only one can live while the other survives?’” but Fry reads “Dumbledore said” instead of “Harry said”. What other ones have you all caught?
