Any really good audio dramas in the sci-fi/fantasy/supernatural genres?

Let me know your top recs! I am searching for something that scratches the itch. Way back when, shows like Black Tapes and Tanis got me hooked but really good shows are so hard to come by. The only themes I’m not really into are zombies and monsters (though monsters can be involved). Some of my more recent faves have been Case 63, Ad Lucem, The Six Disappearances of Ella Mcray, Bridgewater was OK, Impact Winter was ok but got somewhat predictable. Undertow has some decent runs, same with Limelight.

This episode of Hidden Brain unexpectedly rocked my world a bit this morning!

It's been a really long time since a podcast absolutely rocked my brain like this and I'd love to discuss if anyone is game. I do not follow any organized religion and am inherently skeptical of them, but I am spiritual in the sense that I believe there is a very real but just about intangible connectedness to ***all of this.***

That said, I know some out there, like me, wake up almost everyday and look around and feel that we simply should not be living like this (not just the national and global conflicts, economic and political structures, etc.; though it's all connected, but also work and the culture around it, the dehumanization and depersonalization that has become routine, the obsession with material things, celebrity culture, the flood of constant information. . . ).

This episode of Hidden Brain does an awesome job of blending science with innate spiritual awareness and it really made me think about where/when I feel most connected to my own spiritualism as well as when/why I am less connected. The thing that initially grabbed me was that there is a name for that feeling of missing that spiritual component of ourselves and from there multiple knowledge gems were dropped. I'll mention in the comments what creates that connection from me and I'd love to hear from anyone willing to be slightly vulnerable what creates that for you!

1 yr old Japanese maple

I live in south Jersey and had this planted last year in the fall. Earlier this spring we had a week of really warm weather followed by quite a few cold snaps. I think the weather change shocked the tree bc it started to bloom than I was worried it died. Leaved turned brown/yellow, dead branches. Fortunately it looks like it’s bouncing back. Should I cut the bare branches in order to help it thrive a but more in this first full season or would that do more damage? I’m sort of new to this.

Ungraded cards

Long story short, I was a collector during the wax pack era and I have a ton of cards from those days I’d positively love to unload, but people tell me I’m better off burning them. However, I have a few older cards of value, but grading wasn’t really standard during the 80’s/90’s when I collected. I’m looking to unload these and at this point in my life it’s not worth the time and money to get them graded. I’m open to suggestions.

Hey all, starting the Essentials upper/lower/full body split today. I was doing the ultimate PPL program for the first part of this year, which I really liked. However, the workouts were longer than I have time for with my schedule and also, as I got to the last phase I was just dealing with so many nagging injuries and aches. For context, I also do BJJ 3-4x per week. I was also reminded in that final phase how much I truly do not enjoy higher rep (15-20) for most exercises.

I'm 46 years old and am training w/hernia, bulging neck discs (C4-C7) and honestly just a lot of training wear and tear at this point, just absolutely poor mobility from not making mobility/flexibility a focus until about a year ago. I'm hoping the switch to this type of split will help in terms of overall fitness vs just training for strength and hypertrophy. I'm trying to pivot my mindset for longevity at this point as I have 2 young kids and I'm trying to be active and healthy for a long time for them and my wife.

Just wanted to start a dialogue with folks who maybe in similar life situations and have done this program or even other you've really enjoyed. Thanks!
