Italy BV bag shopping

Hi yall - I’m traveling to Italy (from US) in about a month. Staying mostly in Bari and flying through Rome. I’m dying for a BV small Andiamo (and maybe one more 😂). What’s the best way to purchase a BV bag and save a little money?

Airport?
Retail location?
Outlet? I know there is a great outlet near Florence, but I don’t think I’ll be able to make it there. Are there other good outlets?

Thank you!!

Shopping in Italy

Hi all - I’m heading to Italy in about a month. We are staying in the Bari area but flying through Rome. What’s my best bet for shopping BV and saving some money (compared to US prices). I’m specifically hoping for an andiamo and maybe another bag (too many favorites!). I already have a Jodie.

Should I buy at…
Airport?
Retail location?

Thank you gift

My husband was just invited on an amazing trip and I need to come up with an amazing thank you gift. He’s flying up to Colorado on a friend’s private jet, playing golf and fly fishing, and then flying home. Accomodations are all covered/included in this friend’s personal vacation home.

Any ideas?! Thank you in advance!

For those that wear a CGM or test the glucose…?

How often and how long does your glucose stay below 100 throughout the day? If yours does dip below 100 much through the day, are you still in prediabetes or have you reversed it?

I ask because mine rarely dips below 100 during the day if it does at all…

ADHD

Does having an ADHD diagnosis affect an application to a service academy?

ETA: my son just finished his freshman year and a counselor suggested he be tested for ADHD. As far as I can tell, he def has some symptoms of the inattentive type (poor executive function, hyperfocus), but he’s also so young…just turned 15 a week ago. He is doing well enough in school and socially that I don’t see him requiring meds. He also has his heart set on a service academy…I am guessing if we went through testing and he received the diagnosis, he would be required to share it on his application even if he is not medicated. On the other hand, I wouldn’t want to put him in any sort of position of responsibility (ie a military career) that he is not suited for. I’m a little stuck on how best to proceed…and maybe overthinking?!

Wedding site?

Looking for a venue for a small (second) wedding in the Aspen area in September, 2026. We’ve already considered Jerome, Casa Tua, Ajax (not meant for a small wedding)…any other great ideas? Thinking about 15-20 people…would like good food, good drinks and some entertainment (DJ, small band, don’t care!).

Seeking Autumn!

Hi everyone -

Family of 6 from Houston, TX. We have a 4-day weekend in October and I’d love for my kids to experience “fall”!! <houston has two seasons… hot and hotter 😂>

Where would you recommend for a 4-day weekend? Kids are 8, 11, 13 and 15 and pretty good travelers, but it’s only 4 days.

I’m thinking hiking, apple picking and beautiful leaves…maybe fishing?

Paws up? Blackberry? I’d love some suggestions!

Edit: Blackberry F and M are both booked and Paws Up is too expensive!

Understanding bone age

My son is 14 yo 8 mo’s and had this x ray taken. He is 5’2 and has barely started puberty - some pimples, BO and pubic hair. His pediatrician said his bone age is 14 and he just has “delayed puberty”. My husband and I were both late bloomers, so this doesn’t totally surprise me. She doesn’t see the need to see an endocrinologist. However, the “average” 14 yo has done a lot more growing than my son. To me, it looks like the growth plate in his wrist is starting to close. I don’t understand how his bone age can be just 8 months behind when his friends are all 5’8+. He has friends over 6’ tall.

Are these tests very accurate? This does not make sense to me. Is he destined to be 5’6. Nothing wrong with that, but I’d just be surprised. He was in the 90th percentile as an infant and toddler and now seems tiny (not skinny, but short).

Should I get a second opinion? Would it be a good idea to start him on some sort of HGH so he can grow more before his growth plates fully close?

Signed,
A concerned and confused mom

Baseball card business?

Hi - I’m the mom of a boy finishing his freshman year of high school. He’s a good (not great) student and is still figuring out what he’s interested in. Meaning, he doesn’t really have a clue where he wants to go to college, where he could get in, or what he wants to major in (maybe engineering?). And I think that’s okay!

My question is this…he has accumulated a number of baseball cards over the years and has started a small biz with them. He tracks them, watches their value, attends card shows and shops, etc.

Is there anything about this that could potentially help boost a college application. And, if so, what guidance do you have for him? Does he need to start some sort of social media page to garner followers (I hate SM for kids 😂)? Does he need to carefully track every transaction to know his profit over the years? Anything else I’m not thinking about?

This is a fun hobby for him, but I want to make sure we leverage it (if helpful) when the time comes.

Any feedback is appreciated!

PS. Any book recommendations to help with building something like this?

Thank you!!

Hi! We’ve got a 4-day weekend coming up in October. Where should we go?
Our criteria:
- we will be coming from Texas and don’t want to spend a ton of time traveling
- kids will be ages 8-15
- we like nice hotels and outdoor activities
- things we love: waterskiing, hiking, cooking, board games

Any fun ideas for that time of year?

My 14 yo is super into baseball cards and is trying to start a small trading business, going to shows, etc. I’m not very knowledgeable but trying to help him learn.

He has a specific card that he’s requested for his bday. What’s the best way to buy a specific players card? Are there sites that verify authenticity? I’m nervous to purchase on eBay…
