If unblocked attacks did double damage to your block Meter before hitting your health, this game would be a lot more chill.

Not necessarily easier either, as you'd be at constant risk of being block broken and combo'd by big attacks, BUT you could ignore that 1 little shitter sneaking up behind you to ruin your combo while you whomp a staggered boss, or you could safely wade into battle and not be scared of being attritioned by tiny hits from little shitters, giving you more room to be stylish.

Thoughts?

Who would win?

Shoot at them? They go loose formation.

Charge them? They use Yari wall and inflict instant death via 1 hit kill sync kill.

YARIMAZING!

Pax: Bread consumption increased by 50%, this is a conspiracy by Big Wheat to Wheatify every island.

What are your thoughts on this?

I guess every single island just has to be Ceres now lol.

I am worried they will eventually nerf best girl Ceres, but I guess my city combusting every hour is a reasonable punishment for picking OP free population goddess.

I wonder if Bread is still profitable on Hard, where consumption is already quite high.

If we can get a "arrow trails" slider for fantasy, can we get a "is every bullet a Tracer" slider for 40k? I personally love when the screen just fills with bright projectiles.

I saw that the gatling tank the guard had, and a lot of the guardsman shots had very minimal "tracers", I'd love to have a slider like for arrow trails that just ramps it up (or down, I guess...), me personally though?

Visual clarity be damned, I want more Tracers DAKKA DAKKA!

What are some Anno lore Conspiracy theories that you have?

I’ll start:

In anno 2070 going below -200 eco balance but especially over -500 will cause tornadoes to rip up your island (and it actually destroys buildings not just “ruins” them temporarily).

The Eco faction is all about atmospheric weather technology, specifically getting cheap structures that emit cloud seeding vapour to boost eco balance really early, as early as tier 2.

REALLY MAKES U THINK

Do better roads increase cart loading/unloading speed or do they just cause more congestion?

As above:

Asking for 1800 and Pax mainly As they share logistics mechanics.

EG should my first road upgrades just be little strips around my warehouses?

Anno 2070 - Can someone give me a rundown on the major mods, and what they do better or worse?

Mainly I like strategic challenge, warmongering or surviving against a warmonger, and insane random events (Wars, disasters, etc) that throw challenges my way.

For anyone who has played, I'm wondering how ARCC with the WARCC submod compares to the MAUG mod.

Home defence cavalry division for UK?

This would be perfect for the tough terrain of tropico stormo!

Plus Eugene could add different variants like Lance, Sabre, or ATGM mounted guards.

I really like the new infantry supply system, IMO it evens the skill tax gap between vehicles and infantry.

OK so hear me out.

Managing a Tank, means you are just managing 2 units. A tank, and very rarely, a forward supply unit shuffling supply forwards or backwards.

Managing infantry meant managing 3 units: The transport, the squad, and the supply.

Additionally, inf has very low ammo, and very low speed. They can’t escape on their own, while tanks can reverse around a cover while shooting then Fast Move t outta there once LOS is lost.

This further makes them annoying to use.

Prior to this update, I would only ever use inf as a screen, scout, or picket, due to how annoying it was to resupply them constantly.

EG I would choose the Bradley + little squad over the 110 point super heavy squad + spam delivery truck.

Essentially, this change helps inf players not get overstrained micro-ing 800 units while HEVY TONK CHAD just A-moves heavy tanks back and forth to push and get lossless kills and frontline push, while covered by armoured frontline AA.

TLDR I like it, maLes INF gameplay way more approachable.

Hi, my SHORAD Hellfire Bradley isn't attacking planes with its AA cannon, that are definitely in range and the radar is turned on. Happened since last patch, am I stupid or is it a bug?

EDIT I‘M FUCKING ILLITERATE RIP.

IT ONLY SHOOTS AT HELOS AND MISSILES

USE THE STINGER VARIANT FOR ACTUAL AA. Illiteracy in a strategy game forum? Many such cases!

Hi, my SHORAD Hellfire Bradley isn't attacking planes with its AA cannon, that are definitely in range and the radar is turned on. Happened since last patch, am I stupid or is it a bug?

Is it one of those hidden mechanics like "oh you actually have to turn the radar OFF for that unit due to realism" or "OH it has to be stationary for 10 seconds to turn into an AA unit" or is it just a bug?

It could just be elevation, I notice it happening mainly due to the unit being very high up, since the SHORAD has a low range even with radar it might be an issue of the unit having a short range + a blind spot above its head, IDK.

Thanks in advance. (I like to smoothbrain by using a lot of Hybrid Role units and use a lot of "Combat AA" to make my "rear line" more resistant to flanking)

Anno 2070 Conspiracy theory. Ecos have Weather Control tech as early as Tier 1. Islands are significantly more likely to be hit by a natural disaster, the lower their Eco-Rating is.

Explain this liberals. Excuse me I have a delicious SmogBurger with a side of Coala to consume.

2070 - do damaged/ruined buildings repair themselves over time, or do I need a structure for it?

Hi, sorry for the silly question, but I can't seem to find answers anywhere and I have a few ruined houses I need to repair.

Thanks for the help, in advance.

Anyone with their ear to the ground: when are we getting a Modern/Future era for Civ 7? I NEEEEEED my GDR's lol.

I fucking love GDR's (and XCOMS).

I need to know.

I'm happy even with your wild predictions based on your Civ Veteran instincts. I'm just not tuned in enough to this series to guess when the next big expansion might drop.

Does Tac-grouping units have any beneficial stat or behavior effect?

Just doing a sanity check:

I have noticed behaviorally

  1. When in Hunt Mode (not Fast-Hunt as naturally they blob on roads), they auto-spread out a bit which is very useful as it lowers the suppression and AOE shrapnel damage they take from single target attacks. Not quite enough to avoid the AOE from true AOE attacks like artillery or bombers, but it does help a lot even there.
  2. They SEEM to fight slightly more intelligently. ATGM units will sometimes split their fire etc which can be very useful for avoiding overkill. They also automatically assist each other if a member of the TAC-GROUP is attacked which can also be very useful.
  3. Despite this you can still give individual members orders, which can be useful to spread them over a treeline etc.

A Major downside though is that in the heat of battle, it can be difficult to quickly select and orient them, and if units are sufficiently spread out the above behavior can be really problematic.

I could be mis-remmebering but I SWEAR I saw my Light/Medium tanks when in Tac-groups would "Pre-aim" at targets while moving to engage if one of their Tac-group was already in contact. EG I saw a tank pre-rotate its gun while turning a corner to shoot an abrams in a city (already cursed TBH), which let it immediately fire into the rear before it could rotate.

But this could be a total coinidence, like he could have been aiming at another unit somewhere on the way to get LOS. then changed his mind upon getting LOS, so it just looked like he was pre-aiming the abrams.

Is there any other benefits, like Cohesion regeneration or stress resistance or anything like that?
