I don’t want to throw flowers to myself, but I think I’m pretty good at language learning. I picked up English in three months when I was 6 (so it’s not my first language), and can understand pretty much everything in Dutch, Italian and Spanish (TL). In a few years, I’d like to go in Latin America for an internship, and I’d have to be fully fluent in Spanish.
I’ve heard that listening to music in the target language does help, but I’ve also heard that it does nothing to help and it’s a scam. Any thoughts about this? Is it worth the try?

I’m not sure this is the right subreddit to post this to but I kinda need to get this off my chest. A few months ago, my grandpa’s health crashed. Turned out he has like 4 different cancers and every possible problem an elderly person could have.

These past few months have been pretty… difficult I’d say? My mother goes to help my grandparents multiple times a week, considering they live alone and my grandmother really is of no help at all, since she is practically deaf and doesn’t understand half of what we say to her. I won’t go into further details about that, but it’s clear that my grandfather won’t live to see the end of summer.

But I just… can’t feel sad for a reason. It just makes me uneasy when my mother brings it up that he doesn’t even remember her. Plus, a few weeks ago I found a paper on the table, stating that he probably will be e*thanized. And I felt nothing but guilt. Like, why do I not feel sad that he’s dying?

Pretty trivial I know, but these two options have the same budget (50-60€). I told myself I would buy the DND book if I passed my economy class (which I did lol), but I’m going on a vacation in a month and don’t know if I should buy the book of save money for my trip.

I have a kind of complex hair dye, well it’s not really that complex but it’s always been difficult to re-dye the roots. I’ve tried like…4 salons. And I’m sick of not getting what I want and paying 150€ for trash.

So every year with my father, we go in vacation to the beach. The thing is I’ve recently discovered my hair is wavy and thick, and I wondered what are the best tips and tricks to keep it healthy after being in saltwater all day? Or how I can protect it before, if I should ah it everyday….

Im asking this because im currently trying to marry Harvey, but im already at 10 hearts and the dialogue options are getting less and less interesting. So I was wondering if the same would happen with the married life, im kind of new to this game and only on my first save sooo i was just wondering what experienced players think about this.

I have a vacation in a month and a half, and I have a birthday end of the month. I’d like to know what are your best tips for (quick) hair growth! My hair tends to grow kind of fast (15-20cm in a year), it’s kind of thick and wavy. My scalp doesn’t grease very easily, any tips or suggestions?

So this year was my first year of uni, and we even had our last exam today so our year is officially finished.

Throughout middle and high school, I’ve always had a problem making friends. I tend to be very shy around people I don’t know.
I had a best friend during highschool but we eventually just… stopped talking to one another last year, final year of highschool. No problem because I had other friends, who are now I’d say like … my « main friend group » who I really love but since uni started, we barely see each other.

On the first day of uni, I met my new best friend, who really is like the love of my life friendship wise, this issue is we don’t see each other often due to us being in different studies sections so very different schedules. But I also met another group of girl from my section. They were fun, but the thing is… I always felt left out no matter what. I just felt like I was never really part of the group.

The thing is they always text each other about basically everything. They were many times were I didn’t know what they were referring to when they talked about an inside joke I wasn’t a part of. Times were they apparently saw each other outside of uni without telling me… But I know they don’t « hate » me or think I’m boring or not part of the group. I’m just… there. We laugh when we’re together, but outside school? Nothing. Nothing except asking for my notes lol.

I know I’m kind of describing this situation like I’m a poor victim and they’re the mean girls but that’s not really it. I truly consider them as my friends, but as someone who’s been left out all her childhood, idk how much more I can tolerate. Summer break just started, and I feel like we won’t talk at all all summer, and that when school starts again next September, we’ll act like nothing happened.

Idk if I should just stop doing the effort and let go, even if it means hurting their feelings…
