We just got scammed (funny story).

Lol we just got scammed. An old man in his 70s came up to me and my girlfriend and said he needed money for a train & taxi to York. I told him I’d go to the train station and buy a ticket from Leeds to York and give his £20 he was really hesitant and said no,

Told me his name is “James Robert Williams Gallagher” shows me his discharge wristband from the hospital; and told me he won’t scam me and that he’s wealthy but his phone and laptop is broken. Told me he recently inherited his grandfathers cottage in York and is wealthy.

I thought why is a 75 year old man out in the rain so I gave him £20, which I don’t mind losing hoping for good karma
He said thank you and we parted ways. He was dressed really dapper, spoke very well too.

He had an old train ticket 30th July which I took by accident (physical copy) and there was a phone number in it. I called the phone number and on the other end was a guy who was scammed by the same person, but for £25 🤣🤣🤣

So James Gallagher from York in his 70s well played, such a cunning person.

I have a question. When Annie and the warhammer titan was crystallised was the only thing that can break the crystal the Jaw titan?

Could other things break it, such as Collossal Titan Nuke, beast titan punch, or rumbling?

When Eren Krueger has the attack Titan, was he not able to see the future (eren rumbling)? Did eren only allow him to see memories that would benefit him?

I just wanted to ask, the previous attack titan holders. So they can only see memories of the future, influenced by eren is that correct ?

I’ve moved to leeds recently and encountered a lot of racist incidents. I am Asian, Vietnamese Chinese born in UK.

While walking down the street I would receive slurs such as Ching Chong, by white men in their 40s on a Sunday in briggate outside heytea.

When confronted they told me they’ll beat me up, and that they can take me on and I should go back to Thailand.

I was very shocked by this behaviour, the following day a homeless person continuously spouted racial slurs at me and my partner with threats of violence.

We were shocked at how in two days we’ve had this altercation and was wondering if anyone can relate?

I was angry, very angry and at the time I didn’t understand why IM BEING threatened when I stick up for myself?

- an Asian male in his mid 20s. And no I did not provoke anyone I was just walking by these two incidents.

Injuries and not recovering

Hello, I’m 26, used to be a competitive player and recently gotten back into badminton after a 1.5 year hiatus.

Played for a month now and I’ve been getting injuries, calf toe foot, tennis elbow etc.

It also doesn’t recover fast, it takes time. Not sure why, never had this before anyone else in the same boat?

Clean for 2 weeks

Hey guys I stopped gambling and haven’t been back and haven’t even thought about relapsing

I started playing sports and kept busy and met up with friends.

I no longer think about gambling

It’s an awful disease - I understand all of you. Sending you all love

Hi everyone! I have an interview for a Timetabling Officer role at a UK university next week, including a 15-minute Excel test. Has anyone been through a similar interview? I'd really appreciate any tips on the interview questions or what to expect in the Excel test. Thanks!
