Any suggestions pls. Someone prompt - my experience has been bad. Last event they never gave the photos despite full payment.
How do you all deal with a sub par locum consultant who tries to be not clear with decision making / delaying things / not examining clearly / not explaining to the family clearly. However not yet a major incident. He covers the main wards sometimes and sometimes the outliers. Working in the main ward everytime he comes in - I find it very unsafe.
He tries to cover all these he gets daily 20 to 30 pounds worth of food every other day for all the junior doctors. He extends this to sometimes even other teams and to nurses. The nurses are very fond of him as well. However working closely, now we all junior doctors think that he is just bribeing. The word is gradually getting spread across. Registrar's struggle clearly to clear the mess created as well.
Even as a junior, I feel very unsafe and when questioned - he tries to attack us in a insulting way or questions high end scenarios to put us down in front of others. Random referrals. Quite often unwanted investigations. Management are very supportive of him as they lack capacity I believe for proper consultants and the trust is struggling as well.
