I don’t mean the well hidden ones like “well actually Roger was in Italy” I mean blatant. Like Jionni and the uncle and stuff coming to pick up Vinny’s girl he took home (before Jionni was even introduced, I’m convinced Snooki met him as an “actor” plant now).

Or maybe season 1 the girls Mike and Pauly ditched finding their way back to the house after they had the other two girls there? Def felt like producers led them right to there to create a “situation”.

The one with magicians (masters of their field like maestros) is called Magnificent Monsters. The one with a bunch of Dragons and monsters is called Magnificent Maestros… wtf?

Just any FYI for anyone getting back into the hobby. I’m very glad I never folded and bought on FB marketplace before getting back into it as half the cards I saw on there that I assumed were “steals” are actually overpriced. Most you could probably get on streaming apps for a couple bucks or from a free giveaway. I know a lot of the old ones that you would think would be worth a lot are tempting but they really aren’t worth that much unless they’re very specific from maybe LOB or something like that.

Preview pane randomly decides to stop working after a certain number of files (but varies) I have to close the folder and restart

So for my job I need to download a bunch of things daily and organizing them is easiest by preview (number of pages really) but every once in a while the preview pane will just not work… then I close the folder and reopen and it works again. But sometimes it could only take a couple more files for it to stop yet again. I recall while being trained the person who trained me had this issue as well and didn’t know why. I never had it with my new computer until just recently. It doesn’t seem to be anything security related before anyone says that. I don’t actually have to change anything to get it to start showing aside from Xing out the folder and trying again.

Snagged several after just putting those streams on mute and keeping on entering. I also only did one single auction with my discount thing making it amount to spending one single dollar. Pretty sure that one got me the word version of red eyes (from rarity collection V) and one other type of red eyes card I didn’t really even see. Does anybody else try this? To be fair shipping seems to be long af but I’ve only really spent a dollar..

I’m not sure what any of my giveaways actually are except one was a spell card holo… the other si didn’t think they had it showing on screen but descriptions say either a pack or random card/cards. Could all be hot trash but they’re free.

I get we were kids with smaller hands but my god. These things don’t look nearly as cool in person as they do online when zoomed obviously. So dinky.

So obviously Nolan is in headlines lately and now there’s news The Prestige is returning to theaters. It has always baffled me this film sits around 75 percent on rotten tomatoes. Sure I don’t give a ton of credence to their reviews especially with The Odyssey being nowhere near The Prestige to me but just genuinely how?

The reviews seem to fall into these camps

Two word joke not describing why they don’t like it but just calling it “inane”

Thinking it’s too confusing with its twists

Thinking it’s too straight forward and obvious with its twists

And saying it “lacks whimsy”/ magic and explains too much.

I can’t disagree more with all of these takes. The twist is just twisty enough. You can spot it sure but depending on who you watch it with you have no idea which of them will spot it or second guess their guesses.

The whimsy is certainly there but in the dark way the film wants to present. You see it just enough to understand Angier but also know he has gone too far with his obsession.

This is what they’re telling me. They will send me a contingent offer before the interview even… I know someone there otherwise I would be completely sketched out by this if not for personally knowing someone has stayed there for a year..

I guess it’s because they’re a subcontractor and the prime requests this??

The description of the book is not at all what I expected and I kind of like that. How is it? Looks really long and I’m already reading Stormlight and Sun Eater but maybe when I’m done them?

I mean just look at the comments. Almost everyone believing this moment is real. I’d bet my life savings this one was staged. lol
