Genuinely why did they even post the practice midterm if the actual one was just going to be so much harder in difficulty??
I’m still sick unfortunately but wore a mask and gave it so maybe my brain was just not fully working. But it felt so difficult. I could solve the back page but the front just had me lost and bewildered.
Worst midterm I’ve written in this degree so far.
I’m currently in my second year of comp eng so not a huge amount of time has been invested.
I do live with my parents for financial and other reasons and they’re pretty strict with me completing the degree in exactly 4 years.
I don’t really hate it but I don’t really enjoy it either. I don’t feel like I’m as smart as my classmates. I also commute so I miss out on pretty much everything that isn’t labs/lectures. My health mentally/physically is pretty horrible which is also why I live with them.
I just don’t feel like I’m smart enough to get through it. First year was mostly review so I found it enjoyable but now that the content is way harder I keep wondering why I’m still in this degree.
I can’t go fully into the details but a lot of stuff happened first year which led to a lot more mental health problems and a really irrational fear of failure and of the future.
It’s gotten to the point I’m having near panic attacks before labs because I keep thinking this will be the last one I go to as I might fail. I usually try my best to study and get through everything as my health permits it but I feel so incredibly miserable.
It’s like I see my friends who’re also in university and enjoying life while in the same major or another and I genuinely wonder if I’m doing something wrong.
I feel like all of first year I kept finding random things to motivate me to continue with but this year it’s like I don’t even want to do anything at the risk of losing a year, or something ~~plus strict Asian parents lmao~~
I want to graduate and want to see this through especially since there’s so much money invested into this so far and I hate giving up but it’s so hard to find any way to motivate myself to continue with this degree and honestly life itself sometimes
I’ll still try to persevere for as long as I can hopefully but how do you guys stay motivated through all this?
There was a post on the main sub about a genshin cafe opening in Russia. OP also included a picture of a note board. I didn’t check too carefully but with just a brief glance I already found a couple dottore related notes.
I’m so happy that to see him have a better rep outside of the EN community.
I wish we had similar posts from other countries too to see how they view him.

I saw this box of kiwis in the grocery store called copefrut which we were after 6.6/6.7 but ever since the leak dropped we’ve been so much more hopeful!

I’ve been working on drawing Lyney from Genshin Impact (specifically from his story quest he was looking especially majestic in this scene ehe)
I feel like his face isn’t that good/accurate to how he’d look irl I wanted to ask if you guys have any advice I know his eyes are black but I typically just add very slight implications of the characters eye colour fading updwards at the end once I’m 100% confident with the face
I have a small admission.. I really really want to ask my favourite artist online for potential advice since my goal for years has been to try to draw like them
I won’t name them in case they see this but I genuinely haven’t been able to figure out how to stylize (specifically the proportions) like them and I feel like asking them for advice would be too forward or I’d just be a nuisance or something ;w;

Hello! I’ve posted a few times here before but am really hoping some upper years could talk about their experiences and maybe some advice.
I’m extremely stressed for second year! I got into the stream I wanted (computer engineering) but I also have certain health issues in real life that prevent me from getting the same experience as everyone else.
I relied a lot on lecture recordings in first year which was extremely helpful but I heard second year is a different thing. As in: next to no lecture recordings and the content is harder by a lot.
I know I shouldn’t but I was doomscrolling and came across many people in second year upwards saying they failed out or had to repeat an upper year or something and I’m just super stressed.
I don’t live near the campus (commuter) due to the health problems mentioned and financial reasons so I’m just (very much) freaking out hehe 🫠
I have talked to SAS but I’m still worried as I’ve also heard many upper year professors don’t accept accommodations for lecture recordings or other more complex stuff.
I can’t lie I sacrificed a loooot of my health during first year and finished the year with my health getting like halved physically and mentally ;~;
Like I’m just panicking cause I’m hearing first year was the easiest year content wise in all the four years and like I found it a bit difficult (mostly because I was aiming for a high gpa)
There’s this Instagram content creator named Juiceditup and like the way he described second and third year made it sound like the second circle of hell??? I’m praying that’s not the reality omll
I heard the difficulty spike is varied but most people said it’s a huge jump content wise since nothings high school review anymore. I’m going insane dreading next year 😭 like my schedule looks terrible with those 9 pm labs in the winter term and the labs also look way harder and more frequent which is probably to be expected but I’m still freaking out omg

I can’t lie a lot of characters I’ve really liked recently in this game have met a pretty unfortunate end so I was worried venti might get it too. I really wish I didn’t see that in the trailer today I quite literally feel super nauseous.
It might be an overreaction to have considering he’s a game character but he’s been a huge comfort character since I started playing this game. I’m extremely worried. I know for sure that the trailers usually aren’t 1:1 with the story and sometimes they just throw stuff in there for hype or suspense.
But it really feels intentional and strange.
On one hand: it likely won’t be world changing whatever it is. Not much usually changes lore wise after quests everything kinda just resets back to what it was at the start of the quest just with the problem fixed and mostly no harm done. Which is the likely outcome of this one too but I still can’t help but worry.
What’s even more concerning is that the only other gnosis knocked over was the hydro one. That’s a pretty harrowing image unfortunately.
I literally don’t think anything bad will happen to him after all, this is Genshin and the gnosis was already knocked over. But it just looks intentional.
I might just take a small break from any marketing/promotional stuff/leaks etc. And just play the game and try to chill so it doesn’t impact my health but ;w;

After venti (and Lyney) no other playable character has made me this interested in the game compared to vice captain Lohen~ He was definitely my favourite in the nod krai patches.
He’s so unique! Not many genshin characters have his type of personality or animations which makes him so incredibly appealing

Work related stresses, side eng unrelated project stress, family stresses, and stresses for next year.
My mental and physical health is literally in the gutter oml
I started studying for 2Z03 at the start of this week and I’m getting towards the end but I truly don’t feel like I understand anything after the test. Like the Laplace stuff is doable but after that like the mass/board deflection, rod, PDE stuff is just going over my head.
I heard this exam is nasty af and like I’m just sitting here like “oh 😭 if this is considered one of the easier second year courses like is it over??”
I gotta commute from here and it’s a fairly lengthy one too so I’m actually so fucked next year. Like I tried every schedule and it looks like utter misery since apparently very few profs actually record courses. Like I’m gonna be lucky to get to year 3 ngl
And on top of allll that I studied till 8 am last night but then couldn’t sleep (I think I’m turning into a anxiety induced insomniac) until now
And the plan was to start at 9 pm (I work significantly better at night) and keep going till 3pm the next day. That is very unlikely to happen now.
I’m so stressed. Like I know after first year it’s just remaining above a 4 but I’m dreading second year CE when basically nothing is recorded. I have a valid health reason for it other than this too.

There’s a tims down the road where I live and I’ve been going there waaay too frequently for their ice coffee like nearly daily. I know it’s definitely not the best but my neighbourhood basically only contains a Tim Hortons there’s no McDonald’s or Starbucks for miles.
I usually drink their ice coffee while studying for my exams and it’s been racking up a massive bill per month unfortunately. So I wanted to try to make it myself at home c:
I haven’t tried it yet but I saw my local shoppers selling Tim Hortons branded Colombian instant coffee (I’m saving up for a coffee maker so only instant for now) they had a decaf version but I need that caffeine
So my plan was:
- Make the instant coffee and keep it in the fridge for a few hours
- I’m not sure what cream they use I’m thinking of using 10% regular cream found at any grocery store
- Either use sugar syrup (again not sure what they use) or boil sugar and water -> let it cool and then use that if I can’t find an ok one at the store
I’ve never really used their instant coffee before and I know I’ll probably not get a 1:1 copy but would this be close? I’ve seen lots of comments mentioning how they make it from employees in this sub but a lot of them used a coffee maker.
ALSO! if you’ve made a copy version at home and would be ok with sharing the recipe I’d really appreciate it !!

I’ve been checking and checking and checking in hopes there’s some backdoor way to know. Requesting a million transcripts, checking the requirements and planning tab, advisement report, grades, basically anything on mosaic
But for some reason the same site that has a 50/50 chance of loading semi properly on mobile has absolutely no way of finding this decision
They’ve thought of EVERYTHING every little way one could think of finding it early
Like just tell me 😭 lay it on me how bad is it
It also does not help that half the people around me are telling me my gpa (9.4 or 9.5 after annihilating my health like just throw me off of pgcl atp-) is enough for comp and the other half are telling me it’s over and to switch majors like wtf now I’m even more stressed
