So,i have a little epxerience with other schools of japanese buddhism,i first started with Zen,but i feel i was very opaque,then i went to Nichiren but i dint liked either. I end up in Tendai which i loved it,but i got a question that still remains in my head

"Why is isnt this as famous as other achools?"

I mean,tendai school teachings are so beautifull,so big and so amazing to me and i wonder why this isnt as famous as other schools?

Maybe,its "too wide" for many people? Who knows

Hello! So i been dling shodo for last 9 months,i been having lot of problems on copying texts,you see i dont speak japanese and i have the feeling of "not good enough" to copy texts,i tried to do 10 Kannon Sutra verse,qnd yes i do mostly know the order of kanji and hiragana. Any tip?

So,i got my first urushi lacquer (ki-urushi) and i was so...weird that when i applied it to the wood smell like...lime??? Like no joke i thought i was scammed but it turns out that by the urushiol it has a acid and kind of sweet smell. Still very happy of my urushi
