A few months ago my battery light turned on, on the car's dashboard and my voltage slowly started dropping from 14v to as low as 10v upon starting & it would fluctuate. I've had the battery, alternator, & starter tested 3 times from 3 different places and one mechanic suspected it was the alternator.

Well instead of shelling out that $500 right away I took a closer look myself and cleaned the corrosion off of my battery posts, and after that the voltage went back up and the battery light turned off.

The car was fine from May up until now and the battery light is back on. I've also noticed the ground terminal is very rusted but I've had the battery & alternator re-tested at O'Reilly's and everything came back as good once again.

Does this sound like a connection issue? Should I just get new battery terminals or does this sound like an alternator issue to any of you? I'm scratching my head with what to do.

So I've had my buds for maybe a year and a half. I bought them refurbished from Amazon. I haven't had any issues until the last couple of months where Ive noticed they're not only dying faster than before but also getting pretty warm in my ear after using for a few hours with ANC on at work.

Should I be concerned about these potentially causing damage to my ears if the heat could cause a short circuit? Time to replace them I guess?

2nd time going to Warped. Carpooled with a friend last year and we found some garage like 15 mins (walking distance) away for less than $20. Can't find the name of it for the life of me.

I wasn't sure on if I was going to Warped this year and bought my pass last month and now I see parking is sold out & Google is telling me garages on the day of will be $60... I hesitated with City Place A & B parking cause of lots of reviews about break ins but now I'm worried if I'm going to have to spend an arm & a leg 😬 does anyone have recommendations?

I guess this is to those who might be here after having already graduated and are working in the field now.

But did you have any issues getting your CPA? I know it varies state to state and I've noticed some don't have a 2000-4000 hour requirement but they want something like 80-150 hours per semester. If you're in one of those states has this been an issue for you?

Hoping this will be a civil discussion. If this isn't allowed kindly remove it but I'm genuinely trying to understand this.

The logic seems to be that the reformers & Luther were not in sin because they were formally excommunicated and believed themselves to be continuing the faith. But when it comes to things like being a member of the PCA or even the conservative "schism" Anglican or Episcopal churches they're "cursed by God" in his view and it's being based on the church fathers own writings on schism.

But what I've been questioning is the CFs wrote these things hundreds of years before The Great Schism happened and 1000 years before the Reformation. Is there not room for nuance and discussion when it comes to what determines schism being sinful in our day and age? The term that's thrown out frequently is having a retreatist mindset, but if they (the Presbyterian church) truly believed it was hopeless in the 1970s and there was no chance of recovering from the theologically liberal leaders in power, is that actually sin?

I tried to address this & ask respectfully on his subreddit but instead of conversation I was permanently banned and then apparently ignored through DMs.

Sorry if this comes across as a low effort post but I've just genuinely been contemplating this position that opened up at my company and I have a week to apply to it. (I have 7 years of seniority so it's likely I land it). I just kind of dread the thought of doing it because its high stress from what I've heard.

Title question. Right now I only have a barebones Chromebook and it's not able to open Tracer Packet application I tried downloading today.. Just need recommendations on what I need to run labs at home to get my Trifecta certs. I live in a really small place and don't have the space for a desktop/PC, only looking for a laptop at the moment. Willing to spend up to $1000 but would prefer something around $500.

Hey everyone. So I've been a "QA Specialist/Auditor" for a warehouse for about 7 years now but my pay is pretty crappy at $23 an hour.

I've noticed when looking at other QA roles hiring online they require many things that my company has never done and are completely foreign to me, (GD&T, blueprint reading, metrology, ISO 9001, etc). and they pay pretty well in my state, $30-45 ph from what I've seen.

So my question is where would I begin learning those things or what path should I take to get into these types of better paying roles?

I think I'd much rather just leverage the experience I have and learn some new things instead of career switching and spending the next 4 years in school.

I have to say, after experiencing all 3 games now I realized how much I was missing out on by only having played 2 when it launched 16 years ago (dang we're getting old).

I was surprised with the quality of 3. Yes it still has its fair share of very annoying bugs, glitches, & crashing but overall the story was fantastic (Donovan is probably my favorite) and the combat is the best of the 3 games. Despite that I'd probably have to give it a 7.5-8/10 just because of the ridiculous amount of issues I encountered while playing, if they ever bothered to fix them (I know they won't) it would get bumped up to a 9 in my book.

I'd rate Mafia 1 Remake at a 9.5/10 & Mafia 2 HD Remaster at a 9/10 (it really needs a proper remake with QOL updates but it's still iconic).

I'll be buying The Old Country likely in the coming weeks.

Hey everyone, I'm almost 30 currently living in SoCal and wanting to change careers. I'd likely need to do a year or two of prerequisite classes and probably quit my full time job but I need some advice on what to do in the mean time? I have some friends offering to allow me to live with them in Ohio rent free for a while & I'm curious if anyone knows if the bottleneck to get into school (the waitlist) is worse out here or in Ohio?

What are some roles I should look into to be able to work while in school? I have no experience in the healthcare/medical industry.

Also would appreciate any tips or advice on what gave you an advantage on getting into a radiology program. Not sure if it would matter or be of any help to me but I also have transcripts from my Business Administration program about a decade ago and I graduated with a 4.0 GPA there.

Hey everyone. Deciding to go back to school next year, I'm starting over at 30. I have no degree currently and I'm looking into doing some Google Certifications, teaching myself, & going for some of the more desirable/basic certifications before I enroll in WGU to hopefully get my Bachelors in a few years.

I understand the field is very oversaturated and competition is fierce but I wanted to know if it's possible to get started in IT before the degree is finished or should I just wait until I have the bachelor's before even attempting?

I'd currently consider myself a Particular Baptist and I've been trying to go through church history for the last 5-6 months or so and I feel like the only valid conclusions I can reach is to become Lutheran or Presbyterian as far as Protestantism is concerned.

For those of you who have diligently studied church history also, what convinced you the reformed church was true over the EO/RCC as well? Genuinely asking.
