Made this card size notebook wallet

I recently bought some affordable A7 notebooks from Apica, and realized that they’re about the same size as a credit card; so I decided to make this TN Card Size style wallet that holds one (or up to three) of these tiny books, a pen and two cards. It’s a little thick coming from a single card wallet, but not as thick as a traditional bifold wallet. I’ve been using it every day and getting a ton of use out of the notebook! 😊

Follow up to my quest for a 40% keyboard

Well, basically I didn’t find one that I could get quickly. The only options are importing or getting one custom-built, which could take anywhere from a couple of weeks to a couple of months.

I’m making the most of what I have for now. My Apple keyboard just barely fits in my bag along with my iPad, so I made a case for it that also works as a soft wrist rest and a base to keep the iPad on.

Founding designer at The March Tee, sharing the story of how it was made

This was the first case study I ever wrote, but thought it would be worth sharing. 😊 I was one of the co-founders at March, and a member of Studio March before that, which was a design studio. We made a good tee like we made apps before that—starting with the user experience, and going from there. If that sounds interesting, here’s the whole story:

Are there any good 40% keyboards available in India?

I’ve been trying to find a good quality, tiny, mechanical keyboard in India, but no luck so far. Does anyone know where I can buy a decent 40% or similar keyboard? My requirement is that it needs to be under 25cm wide, so that I can fit it in my bag along with an iPad mini. And it needs to work over Bluetooth.

If not mechanical, membrane is also fine as long as it’s good quality and small.

BTS of how I designed, photographed and wrote for Sleepy Owl Coffee from my living room

I’m a freelance designer, and I designed a ton of stuff for Sleepy Owl coffee over a few years. I’ve written and article about how I did it.

I thought this BTS might be of interest to coffee enthusiasts, please let me know what you think!

How I designed, photographed and wrote for Sleepy Owl Coffee from my living room

Any brand has a ton of moving parts. Selecting what to show, what to talk about in a case study is the hardest part for me.

This is the story of how I helped Sleepy Owl sell real coffee to regular people, without the snobbery.

WOTD: Kuoe Old Smith in Bronze

Bought this from their flagship store in Kyoto a couple of years ago. One of the more unique watches I own.

Today: Junghans Max Bill Auto

The cleanest, most well-designed dial I’ve ever seen.

Wearing a Seiko chrono today

The only new watch I’ve bought this week, and one of the few quartz watches I own. Looks incredible in person, and the mecha quartz pushers are very satisfying to use. 😌
