Has anyone bought one in Mexico?

Wife is saying it is cheaper, shes Mexican and understands everything.
Im wondering if its true and if it’s worth it?

Billboards

Anyone here use companies like lamar ? Is it worth it? Im in SoCal and the price is pretty crazy but it’s on the i5. Im wondering if it’s worth it? Paying the monthly fee rather than doing social media and paying the management group.

I’m done working from word of mouth i want to scale to the next step.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Large Gc self performing

Recently heard by 2030 all the big Gc’s will be self performing 90% of the work. I wont say names but My question is why? Money?

Ive worked with some large Gc’s and their self perform work was a 5/10 across the board.
The concrete was my biggest concern, it looked bad and then i spoke to a couple of them and they said they were just there for the benefits Lol. They were being paid $35 an hour which is low in CA.. An experienced concrete finisher is running around $500 a job obviously depending on size plus you can go home after you don’t have to kill time etc.

Im assuming they want to “save money” but will not actually say that, if the concrete looks like shit i can only imagine what the rest will look like.
I know on Fed projects they can walk you off the job no explanation needed I’ve seen it first hand.
I honestly think this will backfire on certain companies.

Contractors

Is it me or is it getting more and more saturated? Im seeing 22/24 year olds with there licenses. Back in the day it was a 400 question test and you had 2 hours to complete. Now days its 150 questions and you have 3 hours (CA)….

Theres only so many PW jobs or commercial jobs that are available.. alot of these owners/Gc’s are going with the lowest bidder regardless.

Honestly I’m thinking of getting into commercial real estate while keeping my license as a second income.
