When will we get an "Always Keep on This Device" feature like OneDrive or iCloud?

I am using a MacBook with limited local storage space and would love to have a feature that lets me flag specific files or folders as permanently local / "always available offline."

Essentially, I'm looking for an on-demand selective sync experience exactly like OneDrive's "Files On-Demand" or iCloud Drive's "Optimize Storage."

Right now, managing this manually through standard local sync folders in the Filen desktop client feels a bit clunky and tedious for dynamic file needs. Has the development team mentioned if a native on-demand placeholder sync engine is planned for the roadmap anytime soon?

When should I use GPT Fast models vs Standard models in OpenCode CLI?

model options in opencode

I'm trying to understand the practical differences between the Fast and Standard variants of the available models (e.g. GPT-5.6 Luna vs GPT-5.6 Luna Fast, Sol vs Sol Fast, Terra vs Terra Fast)

Specifically:

  • When should I choose the Fast version over the standard one?
  • Is the trade-off only latency, or does it also affect reasoning quality, accuracy, context handling, or coding performance?
  • Which tasks are best suited for each (chat, coding, debugging, code reviews, planning, agentic workflows, etc.)?
  • Are there any differences in pricing or token usage?

I'd appreciate examples of real-world workflows where using Fast is the better choice versus when it's worth waiting for the standard model.

Am I missing anything by always using Low Power Mode?

I've had Low Power Mode enabled since I got my MacBook Air. Battery life is great, and performance still feels fine. Is there any reason not to leave it on permanently?

Quick Tip: You can enable seeking/DVR on all livestreams!

I was literally just about to post a feature request asking for live stream seeking. It turns out the developers already implemented it!If you want to use it, just search for "dvr" in the settings and toggle it on. Personally, I think this is such a game-changer that it should be enabled by default.

So glad I slept on House of the Dragon until now lol

Honestly feel so lucky that I just started watching House of the Dragon. Seeing everyone lose their minds waiting between seasons sounds brutal, but I get to just sit back and binge the whole thing.I’m completely hooked. Once I’m done with this, I'm finally going to start Game of Thrones too. It’s about to be a massive marathon.
