The plugin community is the best!

So after many hours of tinkering and with the amazing help of Claude.ai I think I'm in a place I'm happy with.

My ebooks are stored on my Synology which Calibre Web Automate runs on. I then put syncthing on, Claude wrote a script that runs daily which copies these books to a flat structure that then synce to my Kobo when I'm on wifi to push any updates and keeps them without subfolders.

It also made a script to correct and move over the series data as I found that wasn't pulling through.

It does mean on my Synology I double up my ebooks but I have the space (but I have plenty) so now I have Bookshelf running with various other pluggins but it world seamlessly.

Kobo is so good for tinkering when KOReader is on it.

Thanks so all the people that make these amazing plugins!

Car spaces using up a public path legally!

I get that in the UK some streets are narrow as they are old but fuck using the public footpaths partly.to park cars on.

If you buy a house without parking then that's on you.

Celebrate Pride... but not too much.

When I saw this in Cardiff it really made me laugh. Effort level 1.

Upgrading in two years, need some ideas going forward.

Since 2021 I have had a vey reliable Fiat Doblo micro camper that was a car and I turned it into something usable. I've had many trips around the UK in El Doblo (two long 3 week trips also) and next year will be her last big trip around Ireland.

My plan was to retire her in the summer of 2027 and then just get a car for two years and put money away for a bigger van that can be a more long term choice.

I was initially thinking of a LWB Fiat Ducato but I was at VanLife festival last week and my ideas have been completely turned around to a Luton truck after specifically seeing one in particular (I've added the pic of the truck which belongs to nonlostsouls on Instagram).

The use case I have is that I work from home in IT so there is no issue traveling and still doing my job. My partner currently just works in retail but is very creative with his paintings and pottery creations and so the idea was that for the winter we could live over in the south of Europe and Morocco while my partner builds up his creative stock, then we come back to the UK in the summer for the festivals where he can sell his creations and I just still work.

If anyone has some good layout recommendations or accounts I can follow that have done out Luton vans I would be most grateful thank you!

I've had the Blayzers for a week now and still no Shazam or Spotify connection?

I really like the glasses and I was sold more on the music integration than anything else (I'm not a fan of portrait photos or videos for the most part) but I cannot get Shazam to work (even though it's connected) and can't get Spotify to even connect other than via Bluetooth on my phone.

If I say "Hey Meta, Shazam this song" nothing. If I say "Hey Meta, what's this song?" it asks me to him or tap it out.

Spotify just takes me into a loop where I try and connect it says something went wrong and try agian but if I look I the allowed setting the connection is there just not showing I nthe Meta app so isn't connecting.

Anyone else getting these issues?

Help with connecting Spotify to Blayzer Optics (Gen 2)

I got my paid of Ray-Ban Blayzer Optics (Gen 2) today and everything seems to have connected in Meta AI apart from Spotify where I keep getting an error.

I am running Android 16 (on a Pixel 9 Pro). I have tried with Spotify that I have been using for almost two years and got the error. I cleared the cache and local storage, sign back in and still the same.

I then uninstalled Spotify and downloaded it again and still the same issue.

Has anyone has this and been able to fix it?

Trying to create a calendar and shopping list dashboard

So I have a magnetic calendar on our fridge which we update each week with the meals we will be having along with a shopping list. I thought I would do something better an use HA.

I went and bought a cheap Samsung Tab SM-T590 which has 1,200 x 1,920 resolution that I wanted to stick to my fridge and then setup a dashboard which has the calendar down one side that will feed three calendars (aj_s, lewis and meals) and then out to-do/shopping list on the right.

I've been playing about for a few hours now with Fully Kiosk and then adding atomic calendar, calendar pro and various other things but it's just not quite getting there.

I did want to add some funky things to it like it will dim and scroll images from a Synology photo album, then when it detects movement via the camera it will wake up (Copilot was helping here) but after hours of just not getting it to look anywhere half decent I am a bit at a loss.

For example my Fridge dashboard in a browser is showing some information but on the tablet via Fully Kiosk or even the HA app it just shows there's an error. I also discovered I can add items fine from HACS if I am on my local IP but doing it via https://DOMAIN it always throws an error up.

If anyone could suggest something or has a similar setup that would be great. Am I overkilling it with Fully Kiosk? (I don't want to pay for a licence if its not going to work) or is there an easy solution I am missing. I just want a permanent Monday - Sunday that will change weekly :)
