This is an oil painting I did from life at the old port’s marina. Unlike most of my paintings done in a single session, this piece took me 3 sessions to complete due to the drastic changes of the lighting and the complexity of the subject. That being said I’m glad to have captured another iconic spot in Montreal.

This weekend I painted this iconic Montreal spot that was on my “to paint list” for some time. This artwork was done in oil and measures 9x12 inches.

This is a 2 session painting of Rodin's Jean d'Aire bronze sculpture at the MMFA painted on location. I wanted to capture this view in the late afternoon and early evening so had to return to the same spot twice. The painting is done in oil on panel.

I am sharing a collection of paintings I did during my very first visit to the beautiful Maine. I only had a couple days, but loved every moment of exploring and painting on location different areas of Maine. Great people and great scenery make Maine a very special place. Hope to see you soon Maine!
