Liquid spironolactone and/or microdosing?

Anybody try liquid spiro? I can't tolerate the tablet form because of other medication I take and I'm wondering if liquid spiro is something anybody has tried. Or microdosing at all? The symptoms I am trying to treat are acne and painful periods.

My derm is thinking I do accutane for the 3rd time but that doesn't really address the full picture.

Question about location changes

I'm finding Season 2 generally hard to follow not sure if that is just me. But I thought when the gang reunited (S2E4 Homecoming) they stayed in Charleston, SC but now I'm seeing they are at JJ's hot tub which is back in OBX/Kildaire. So does that mean they are back home or are they in Charleston? And Rafe and Barry are hunting John B down so did they go to Charleston or are they in OBX?

A third time? / help and need for advice/rant

Is accutane a third time actually safe? Derms love to throw accutane at you and will claim till the very end it's ok. I've had some doctors say that after 2 rounds it's useless but I've also had my most recent derm tell me that they've had patients do it 5 times which feels wildly unsafe and bad for your liver. She was pretty dismissive, as many of the derms are.

I do have PCOS which I think is a contributing factor but not everything. I take metformin which helps in some ways and my extensive bloodwork is pretty good. I've really done it all over the years. Birth control, lasers, spiro, natural route, supplements, herbs, diet changes etc. Spironolactone nor birth control doesn't work well for me because of the side effects and messing with my mood stabilizers. I can't tolerate a lot because of the mood stabilizers and Accutane is something that weirdly I can tolerate well, except the acne ALWAYS has come back.

I'm not against Accutane entirely but I have my reservations because I am worried of the acne coming back and after 3x I'm done. I wanted some advice and opinions.

I understand people on Reddit and in this sub aren't medical providers or doctors, but some support or sharing of people's stories would mean a lot because nobody else in my life has acne or deals with this BS. Would be great to feel less alone.

Brief history for reference (I'm 5'2 140lbs if that's relevant at all because I'm talking about dosage):

1st time: 17 years old 80mg for about 7-9 months (can't remember the exact time). Clear for 2 years and then it came back, not full force but pretty significantly. Went on willingly. No side effects except dry lips.

2nd time: 18/19 years old 80mg for 4-6 months. Went on willingly but time was cut short for a reason I don't remember.

This time would be 23/24 years old 10mg 3x a week for a year (at least to start but I would stay microdosing but perhaps bump up to 10mg to every other day or 20g 3x a week).

Is it worth it? Both times I cleared but my acne returned within 2 years. I've cleared a flare up when I was 21 in the past strictly on topicals with Face Reality and a good aesthetician which is why I am thinking that this flare up doesn't need Accutane but man is this acne stubborn as hell . The derms aren't really exploring the topical route as much as I would like because they're thinking there is no point and accutane is my only option.

Does Teddy get a confessional?

On the beginning of Season 5 so maybe Teddy's confessional is coming but I would like to hear something from her. She doesn't really talk at all.

Question about Taylor

The narrative currently on HOS is that Taylor is Stassi's bestest friend of 10+ years. However I don't remember ANY mention/sighting of her on VPR or really seen Stassi talk or post about her on socials in the past (besides the pod). I'm willing to stand correct... Did I miss something? Was Taylor mentioned before?

If my impression is correct I must preface by saying, I understand that TV and socials don't show EVERYTHING. Taylor could've been private or disinterested in reality TV previously although that seems backwards considering she was terribly eager to join this show. But I am shocked Taylor didn't come up at all considering how close they allegedly are and how obsessive Taylor seems to be with Stassi. Not to mention how threatened she seems to be with Katie.

I certainly trust that they knew each other and were friends to some capacity for 10+ years but "best best closest friends"- is this just a construct because producers needed a BFF and wasn't sure if Katie was going to join the cast? Was Taylor the replacement for Katie and that's why she's threatened?

On rewatch: I cannot get through Season 3.

It feels like an entirely different show. The things that made the show, were no longer factors in the final season. They sort of ruined a lot of the characters and I just feel like the shows continuity makes little to no sense in S3. S1 and 2 are so easy to watch and I find S3 to be so choppy.

I don't know why they got rid of the JuiceNet! That was like the heart and soul. Rikki's Cafe is cool I guess but it's entirely unrealistic that Rikki was a comanager of a cafe as a high school senior and suddenly Zane isn't in high school anymore? I think part of the reason they did it was to give Zane a storyline and take advantage of Indiana's musical talents. But I'm not sure why they didn't have Zane just take over the JuiceNet and introduced live music there.

Not to mention the whole "moon pool attacking the girls" ruins the magic for me a bit. The whole point was that the moon pool as home base . To not have that anymore, takes you out of the H2o world. Also, am I imagining that we see them consistently less in their mermaid form in S3?

I like Bella a lot more as an adult than I did as a kid, but man Emma was my favorite and just had the best chemistry with the other girls.

Honestly, I'm not sure I ever actually watched all of Season 3 because I don't recognize some of these episodes. I originally watched this show as a kid on cable and I think I was so pissed when Lewis left I revolted hahahah but I do know I watched the last episode for closure.

Former fan turned snarker

Are any snarkers here who were former fans? I LOVED this show Season 1 and was an early fan. For reference, when I finished the show, there were no Reddit subs dedicated yet. It was interesting and the women had cool stories. They were self edited but not to an obnoxious sense. They had work done but most of them hadn't gone under the knife completely. They were mostly on their first faces with just some injectables. They were funny and out of touch yet managed to remain so relatable. You actually were rooting for some of them. They definitely went on SLOMW for fame and money but it didn't feel quite like self promotion and leverage yet. Now they are all trying to take their non existent talent to invent side projects with their newfound fame. For example, Miranda is now a singer? Mayci is a writer? Layla is a model? Not to mention the continuity issues. The show has now touched on some serious issues that don't belong in reality tv.

Now... they're all just fame whores on their 2nd 3rd and 5th faces. I stopped caring about these chicks 2 seasons ago. The show once understood the missing niche in reality TV but now has completely lost its purpose. All of these women need therapy, to leave their husbands (except for Whitney) and to focus on their kids.

EDIT: THESE COMMENTS DIDN'T DISAPPOINT. EVERYONE IS SO INSIGHTFUL!!

Something I noticed on my rewatch as an adult...

I never realized truly how PG the show is to the point of being unrealistic. The teenagers do not curse, consume alcohol, have sex, go to actual parties or do any thing really. Not even mentions of it. It's almost like this sexless sober utopia. Their main hangouts are during the daytime and at a Juice place.

If you compare this show to the Heartbreak High reboot, Australian teens are a total 180 like night and day- I suspect the average Aussie teen is more like the Heartbreak High kids. To be fair, the H2o girls are mermaids so they're not really normal but imagine them at a bushdoof hahahah. Not sure if it's regional since the Heartbreak High girls are from the city and the mermaids are from the Gold Coast.

Genuine question: are we supposed to like Madison?

My mom and I were talking about this and I was saying that my unpopular opinion is that I do not like Madison and she said "You're not supposed to like Madison".

Genuine question: why did they do a Real housewives of Rhode Island before a Boston?

Always wondered that. I think since they have Rhode Island now they're never gonna do Boston. It's similar vibes, coming from somebody who has family and friend's in both states and is a life long New Englander

Something that is bothering me.

West acting like everything is fine at the reunion? Amanda seems crushed, petrified, anxious, etc. and West was cool as a cucumber! Laughing at everybody's jokes and Amanda is like holding back tears for dear life. I'm not an Amanda apologist but damn that was hard to watch. They both made the bad decision together and it sounds like West even instigated it.
