Just trying to do something on my own

**This post is on behalf of my wife**

I don't usually post things like this, but I thought I'd give Reddit a try.

I'm a Chemistry online teacher living in Dubai. I have an MSc in Chemistry and have been teaching students online for the last 3 years.

I'm married, and my husband is supportive of me financially, so thankfully my family isn't in a difficult situation. But there is something personal I'd really like to do on my own.

My younger sister is planning her higher studies, and I want to contribute towards her education.

My husband has told me many times that I don't need to worry about the financial side of things, and I genuinely appreciate that. But as a sister, I would really like to be able to say:

"I helped you get there."

That's honestly the reason I'm trying to take on a few more Chemistry students rather than simply sitting at home.

I normally teach IGCSE, CBSE and ICSE Chemistry, mainly Grades 8–12, through online one-to-one classes.

One of my previous ICSE students achieved an A in Chemistry, which I'm still quite proud of.

I'm not looking to build some huge tutoring business. I'd just like to teach a few students properly, and put that towards my sister's education.

If anyone here genuinely struggles with Chemistry, I'd be happy to have a conversation. No pressure at all.

And if tuition isn't something you need, that's completely fine too. Even if this post simply reaches the right person, I'll be grateful.

Thank you for reading. ❤️

Dubai parents — is your child struggling with Science/Chemistry?

Hello friends,

My wife is an MSc Chemistry graduate with 3 years of online tutoring experience (English or Malayalam).

She teaches:

IGCSE Science — Grades 8–10

CBSE Chemistry — Grades 11–12

ICSE Chemistry — Grades 8–10

She has previously helped:

  1. An IGCSE grade 9 student achieve an A grade in science

  2. An ICSE class 10 student score 92 marks in board exam.

Rather than asking parents to immediately commit to a package, we're offering a short Chemistry diagnostic session first. This helps identify the student's weak areas and whether online tutoring would actually be useful.

Happy to answer questions here as well.

Got charged AED 100 at Day to Day Al Quoz by parkonic

Anyone experienced the same? This was on Sunday 05.07.2026.

There was no board saying parking fee. Security also didn't say anything. Since it was Sunday, we thought the area is not under parking fee.

Please suggest any alternate area for car parking for the next visit.

20 aed per hour they charged.
