Attack Dinghys are all you need for treasure bottle ships

Need to unlock the TOF skill to deploy the dinghys. We did 2 boats last night, my friend in the front there soloed the first boat. Got it down to 10% health before the dinghy's timer ran out. Waited for the cooldown before going to finish it.

I came to help with the second one, we got meshed together for a bit so be careful of that. My friend then got back into prime position where the ship cannot damage the dinghy (right up the arse off the pirate ship). I followed behind, got enough hits in before my dinghy got destroyed that teammate could finish it without having to wait for the cooldown. Whoever is on the destroyed dinghy should have a water dino ready to swim back to the main ship, to drive over the flotsam when the pirate ship has been destroyed.

Also, read your treasure maps before you activate them. We wouldn't have had to work this out if I didn't spawn these 2 ships right by our main base, all because I was rushing to tame a parrot with the treasure bottles!

BB #198240

Just about had enough thread to finish this pattern aside from a few rows 😅 I was drawn to it because it kinda reminds me of House Greyjoy. The waves gave me inspiration to use my variegated thread and honestly I love the effect it has. Does anyone know what the design is from originally? The creator alluded to them copying it but doesn't include anything in the tags!

Trying out some variegated thread in BB pattern #126111

Picked a pattern I thought would show off the gradients in the threads I picked up recently. Not too impressed! Will probably look into dying threads to see if I can make them more interesting. It was fun trying out a pattern I wouldn't have picked usually though I think I should have picked a different place to start, not sure I made the best choice there either!

One shot KO for easy tidepup taming

This tip is also good for a bunch of other creatures, another example being desmodus.

If you're able to put a creature to sleep in 1 shot, it will not aggro any others of its species. You can also kill the unconscious creatures without aggroing the rest. This allows you to clear out the ones you don't want to tame that will end up getting in the way in some form.

BB #188088

Another pattern where I was confident in the colours I chose and got humbled as soon as I started knotting. What's worse is I had to commit to it to see if it works and by that point I was too in deep to be bothered to start again. On the bright side, after I spent the whole time panicking that I hadn't cut my strings long enough, it turns out I cut enough to finish and it fits me perfectly. Self confidence partially restored!

After umming and ahhing for a few weeks, I finally got this pack

It was £17.99 for this pack of variegated embroidery thread from hobbycraft. I can't tell whether or not it was a good deal or a rip off (thanks to amazons 447(?) different coloured skeins for £25). Still going to have hours of enjoyment out of them. Now to find patterns that show the variegation nicely!

Wish I had a darker grey for better contrast. Anyone else pick out colors that look fine when the skeins are side by side but it changes when knotted up? Whats the deal with that!

Completed #2871, Master Ball edition!

Thanks to everyone for their help, especially to Squareapple12 for completing the pattern so I could follow it! The original pattern is on friendship-bracelets.net.

Struggling with #2871

Pattern #2871 friendship-bracelets.net

I'm struggling to get my head around this pattern. I keep going back and changing my knots so they end where I need them to be. There must be an easier way! No issue following the start of the pattern but working out what strings go where using the 3rd pic to continue has messed me up somewhere. The last 5 rows are where its all gone to crap.

Pattern #A42743

He's not perfect but he's my first alpha. Thanks to Marjar for posting a pic of their version on friendship-bracelets.net which is 100% better and cuter than my attempt. So cute it gave me the push I needed to give this type of pattern a go :)

Ragrug bracelet

Started off strong. Then I used one thread that was slightly too short, so I used the base string to be able to keep the top string going long enough to have a tuft. Had to make it look intentional so kept the theme up randomly. I kinda like the way it looks and has given me inspiration for my future ragrugs!
