Zoom on DJI Action 4 isn't smooth

I hold on the icon in the display for zoom, and then smoothly rotate the wheel to increase the zoom. But when I view the footage, that zoom appears to be in steps or is jittery instead of a smooth zoom. Is this normal? How do you work around this?

ND Filters vs high shutter speed?

Usually I record in automatic mode. The only customization I do is recording in DLog10 and applying the DJI LUT when editing. I don't tweak any of the other settings.

I watched a few Youtube videos and finally learnt what White Balance, ISO, etc mean. And was manually setting them today. I shot mostly indoors and when I did go outside, the video was too bright. I was at 400 ISO, 2100K, 24 FPS, 1/50, 4K.

I cranked up the WB to 5400K and lowered the ISO to 100, but saw no effect in the video being too bright. So, I switched to Automatic to see what the camera would do to bring the video to normal. It did bring the video to look normal again, but I saw that it had cranked up the shutter speed to 1/5000. It was pretty bright and sunny outside.

I guess this relates to the tip I also saw in the video about using high shutter speeds(that are not 2x the frame rate but much higher), in case you don't have ND filter and are shooting in bright environments.

Do you folks generally use ND filters or just crank up the frame rates? I just capture videos whenever I travel, which is about once in 2 weeks. And its a hobby not a full time thing. So, not sure if ND filters are going to be overkill. They are also a pain to carry and fit / remove every time you go indoor to outdoor and back. But that's my assumption. I've never used them before. Trying to get inputs from your experience so far.

Walked into a bookstore today

Passing by a bookstore. Couldn't resist. Held them paperbacks in my hand. The smell of brand new books. Wow. The text on actual paper was amazing. Walked out without buying anything. That's because I have Libby and I want to make use of my tax money by getting books in return from the library. But if I was one of them billionaires that paid zero taxes, I'd so so gladly choose physical books over kindle any day of the week.

The waiting queue for physical books in the library is far longer and they don't have too many of the titles that are present on Libby. So yes, that's not an option. Thank you all.

Even the slightest nervousness messed up the game so much. Pushes will be too much or too little, body will be stiff, smashes will be long, legs will be slightly shaky causing you to mis time the ball. Anyone felt this?

Happens instinctively. But works great at least against the opponents I play. It happens when the ball is heading towards the center of my torso too quickly for me to put my paddle in front of my body and still contact it. Instead I just put my paddle behind me and move my torso to the side to make way for the ball. Which contacts the paddle behind and bounces back to the shocked opponent. Anyone else does this?
