How to apply for a government job as a fresh passer?
Fresh passer ng March 2026 board exam, with no work experience aside from internship. Planning to apply for a government position, but I'm not really sure how to start.
May mga nabasa ako na usually through the CSC Job Portal. Kaso, karamihan ng nakikita ko either hindi related sa field ko or may required na additional experience. May nakita pa akong position na sakto sa balak kong applyan, kaso lagpas na sa closing date. I still tried emailing them to ask if the position is still available since it's still listed on the portal. Bahala na, since sabi rin ng iba na kapag ganito, huwag na masyadong umasa.
Now, pwede ba ang walk-in application sa government agencies? For example, pupunta mismo sa provincial capitol, municipal hall, regional office, etc. just to inquire if they have available positions or upcoming vacancies?
If possible, balak ko sana na hindi lang mag-inquire—dala ko na rin yung documents ko, such as PDS, photocopies of PRC license, TOR, eligibility, etc., in case they accept applications.
Regarding the PDS, okay lang ba kung hindi pa notarized when I initially inquire/apply? Or kailangan notarized na agad kahit walk-in inquiry pa lang?
For those who have experience applying to government agencies as fresh graduates/fresh board passers, ano usually ang process kapag walk-in? Saan dapat unang pumunta or kanino dapat mag-inquire—HRMO, Administrative Office, or directly sa office where I am applying to?
Any advice or personal experience would be appreciated. Thank you!
