Since I kept seeing people complain about the 70mm odyssey breaking down in Denver so I went to CO Springs for their 70mm and it wasnt a great experience

Picture quality was blurry, felt equivalent to watching a 720p movie on a tv way too big, the sound was too loud at times that it seemed like the speakers were on the verge of giving out. Multiple conversations were just blotted out by sound. At one point there was a box around Odysseus’ face as he was talking with a picture of a lighthouse for like 5 seconds. Idk if that was a mistake in the film reel or what.

Just wondering if anyone felt the same. I was really really hyped and had huge expectations to see it here, especially driving 1.2 hours to see it, but I felt like I’ve seen better quality in normal theaters…

Did my #10 and #11 peaks this weekend and was planning to get into class 3s and 4s and was hoping y'all could recommend some good gear for me - will delete if there is a better post for this

i promise i looked before posting this, didn't want to spam, so apologies if there is an all encompassing post. Went to the REI downtown location and their climbing section was almost absolutely bare and no one around to answer questions, kind of annoying. those who did answer me basically just yada yada'd that climbing season was not very active this year. not very helpful

I currently use the addidas terrex free hiker 2.0s but I assume they're not the best for class 3/4 routes and theyre also around 3 years old at this point. Was doing a bit of research and apparently alot of people refer to wearing "approach" shoes and i was hoping for a good recommendation. In addition, looking for a good helmet and gloves ppl like that won't break the bank.

Any other recommendations on things to do to prepare for some class 3/4 scrambling or products you felt really helped, I'm all ears for being safe and prepared. my current training regiment is peloton climb rides 3-5 times a week haha. i know ppl have mentioned climbing gyms but not sure if there are any at home exercises you could recommend.

I am thinking i will do Longs peak first, maybe late september. I didnt think i would do a class 3 until maybe next year but i peaked grays/torreys this weekend in under 4 hours stopping alot for my friend doing his first 14er and before starting to head down felt good enough to where i felt i could do another 14er that day. So i think my stamina is ready.

White lady at the sprouts on wadsworth near 6 randomly yelled at my wife to get the fuck out of her country as she was walking inside

My wife wears a hijab. My liberal friends have often downplayed how my wife feels living here because “it’s not Texas.” We’ve always felt a bit like outsiders being here, even compared to TX because TX has big communities. Just sucks.

Just got a Moen Flo Shutoff and was looking for tips

Read alot of posts on Reddit about people encountering issues with the app no longer detecting or breaking down. I've got a 60 year old house we purchased in the past 2 months and figured this would be great to have due to its age/size moreso than a newer house. As with any product you're paying alot for I always expect to see these types of posts on reddit as the thousands of other people wouldn't post about their Flo doing its job and these types of posts help me watch out for issues for preventative purposes rather than reacting to them after they happen.

In your experiences of having the Flo stop working or encounter issues, is there something y'all would recommend doing on a normal basis to just make sure things are functioning or any red flags/warning signs? I'm sure something will come up and this is something that isn't going to be a perfect fix all solution but I just want to be responsible, aware, and realistic about how it can help me monitor the piping in my 60 yr old house.

Should I play the Ashes series like I would a normal Doom game/mod on hardest difficulty or bump it down for story?

Just wondering bc I started the first part on the hardest difficulty and noticed a smaller amount of health/ammo which has me kind of hugging corners and wondering if i should bump it down to enjoy more of the story aspect.

dogs of war is actually a masterpiece and here's why

idk if you guys know this but there's another song in PF's registry called "dogs" on a very lesser known album than imho the best album momentarily lapste of reason. i have never listened to most of their albums but this one is called animals or something. the dogs on this song bark and shit and there's liek symbolism because the dogs are mad and i think the dogs in dogs of war are mad too and thats like some meta shit. talk to yall later gotta clock back into my shift at the STONE factory

What all time post here would have Roger joining the jerk?

I think we can all agree Roger checks this subreddit every single day just based off how much he cries about his daddy, gets in arguments with bro bro Davey on the daily, and based on how much we make fun of his horse face hoping one of his lawyers will agree to sue one poor soul from this sub into oblivion (I, for the record, would like roger to know he is very handsome and I'm sure many ladies would like to engage in equestrianism with him)

What post on this sub all time are you going with most likely to be upvoted by Roger himself or convinced he joined in on the jerkin or crashed out in the comments?

Which painkiller edition on steam should i get?

I see alot of these are mixed but ive heard painkiller is one of the earlier awesome gens, not a classic due to age, but i see so many mixed reviews. However, like with Blood, mixed doesn't necessarily mean bad, it could just be people unhappy they're releasing a new version at a high price with just no real updates to the OG game. Just wanted to see what y'all think.
