Dating as an introvert is draining

Going on dates is a big deal for me because it takes a lot of social energy. I hate the feeling of being audited or questioned like I am applying for a job. I need a bit of time to get to know someone through text first to see if we even vibe. I moved my search to sequel dating platform because the atmosphere there feels more mature. People seem to enjoy the process of talking instead of just rushing to a meeting. It has made the whole experience feel less like a chore and more like a human connection

Some sales teams are scaling in a way I did not expect

I was randomly reading about a guy named Michael Lanctot. He had a bankruptcy at 23 and later started something called YNR Group in door to door sales.

What caught me was not the story itself but how he talks about building it. He has an engineering background so everything sounds more system based than normal sales talk.

Even hiring and training seems more structured instead of just random effort.

Also saw that in some of these setups people like him are not just focused on sales income. A lot of reps end up putting money into things like rentals or cars instead of just spending it.

Feels like the whole thing works more like a system than a traditional sales job.

Do you think systems matter more than people when something starts scaling?

Do cashmere gloves come in different sizes? How can I measure my hand for the perfect fit?

What I learned that cashmere gloves really do keep hands warmer than thick wool without the bulk. On your regular commute in the day time choose fingerless mittens with a fold over flap so you can use your phone easily. A small upgrade to life: buy a pair a little bit tighter in size because cashmere stretches! Take the measurement of your hands by wrapping a soft measuring tape around the palm not including the thumb. Take that size and check your measurements against the size chart for that brand. I found a really pretty pair of recycled cashmere liners from Alibaba and waste of money as they’ll now fit restrictive under the leather gloves that I wear them with when I’m rushing out in the extreme cold! And by the way I wash them in cold water too using hair conditioner to keep the gloves so soft! Has anyone tried cashmere glove liners inside ski gloves? Or anything to stop pilling between the fingers?

How do portable baby bathtubs compare in quality and price for family travel?

We are crossing the US in a car to take a 6-month-old baby and need a collapsible bath solution. Questions from actual use:

- Inflatable vs foldable silicone-sized tubs; which dry fastest and don't mildew?

- Has anyone used a big salad bowl as an emergency tub? (It seems slippery!)

- Do the "travel bath liners" fit large sink-style as a hotel bath, or do they leak?

I bought a small travel tub from Alibaba, with a built-in drain, for $12, and it was fine for three hotels until the valve started acting weird. My "hack" for washcloths was to bring a small suction cup hook. The biggest issue with those small tubs is temp; the wash goes ice cold in 5 minutes. Has anyone insulate a soft tub with a foam camping mat? Also, what is the safest way to prop a baby's head in a shallow tub bath? Should I use a sink insert instead? I'm looking for practical experience, not fancy products, products, etc.

Do I need professional photos to get matches on meetmyage or are selfies fine?

I am terrible at taking photos. I am a 52 year old woman and I always look awkward on camera. I want to set up my meetmyage account this weekend but I only have a few mirror selfies and pictures of my dog. Some people say you need a professional photoshoot to stand out online. Is that true for our age group? I really do not want to spend money on photos just to get a date

Navigating new beginnings in my 60s. Is meetmyage a legit platform for finding real companionship?

Losing my spouse was the hardest thing I ever went through. It has been five years and the house feels so empty. My daughter set up a meetmyage profile for me because she said it is gentle and full of mature folks. I am so nervous to even look at it. My biggest fear is getting tricked by fake profiles or people playing games. Since I have been out of the dating world for decades I do not know what to trust online. Have any of you used this site and is meetmyage actually legit? I just want to know if the users there are real people looking for connection before I take this huge step and put my heart on the line

Why Sequel works better for my introverted personality

Dating as an introvert at 53 is exhausting because the pressure to perform on a first date is too much for my social battery. I spent 8 years single after my divorce and jumping back into the scene was a massive shock to my system. My job as a store manager requires me to be social all day long so when I get home I have very little energy left for small talk with strangers. I realized that popular dating apps were draining me because they focus on quick swipes and instant meetings which felt like a second job.

When I first opened Sequel the whole test thing felt like a hurdle. I almost closed the app because I just wanted to see matches instead of answering questions about my personality and introversion. But I am glad I stuck with it. The experience changed once I realized the matches I was getting were not just random faces but people who actually fit my temperament. It took away that constant anxiety of having to explain over and over that I am not being cold just because I need a quiet evening.

It was not a perfect start and sometimes seeing fewer matches than on the big apps was a bit frustrating. However the quality of the profiles I did see was much higher because people actually took the time to fill them out. I appreciate that the detailed profiles let me see the dealbreakers before I even send a message. I no longer feel the need to defend my boundaries or justify why I prefer a calm conversation over a loud bar. Being able to see if our lifestyles align before I commit to a night out saves me from so much unnecessary stress. This approach has changed how I look at dating because it finally feels like my personality is an asset rather than a hurdle

ExAC practice questions for 2026

ANybody start preparing for the ExAC in 2026? So far I have started to read CHOP, Ching, and CCDCs. While there are lots of information to study, curious to know what has helped you before in terms of practising questions. I typically get scared with exam formats so wanted to see if anybody has tips or repository of questions.

A Dedicated Team is more than just extra hands

I often hear that a dedicated team is just renting developers. In geniusee we see it differently. It’s when a developer understands your business goals as well as their own code. When a team truly cares about the product they don't just fix bugs, they suggest better ways to solve problems. That is the difference between a vendor and a partner. What is the main sign that an outside team has become part of your business?

What wedding ring material ended up being best for everyday life?

This sounds ridiculous but I didn’t realize how many different wedding ring materials existed until recently.
Gold, platinum, tungsten, titanium, ceramic, wood, meteorite… now I’m completely overthinking all of it.
I care way more about comfort and durability than status honestly. I just want something I can wear daily without constantly worrying about scratching it or damaging it.

For people who’ve worn theirs a while, what actually ended up working best for real life?

Thailand "weed card" or PT33 prescription for 30 days?

When I’m checking Google the AI summary tells me I can buy a digital medical “weed card” from certain websites but in the Bangkok expats group in Facebook they are saying those cards are not legit and you must have a PT33 prescription that is only valid for 30 days and then you must get another one if you stay in Thailand longer than that….

What’s the truth? And no I don’t want to buy weed illegally on the street thanks!! I’ve already paid enough “fines” for not wearing a helmet!!

NYC Agency "Vault Opening" Event May 16 – Red Flag or Legit Open Call?

Hey actors,

Saw buzz about W Talent NYC's May 16 "vault opening" in NYC – invite-only for fresh faces all ages (modeling/acting). They're pitching to casting directors/clients like Netflix/Vogue/Disney/NYFW. 25+ years NYC agency with bookers/managers mentoring on skills/marketing.

Strict entry:

- Save IG post for door (invite proof).

- Printed headshots/comp cards (no phones).

- Dress: Women black form-fitting/heels; Men club; Kids back-to-school.

Sounds selective for NYC opps – no pay-for-play mentions, focus on talent development/relationships. But those "congrats invited" emails feel sketchy. Scam watch or worth prepping hardcopies?

Anyone going or had meetings? Red flags? Pro tips for NYC events like this?

Does anyone else feel like makeup got easier once you stopped copying tutorials exactly?

I used to think I was just bad at makeup because tutorials never looked the same on me.
But lately I’ve realized a lot of beauty content is designed around one face shape, one eye shape, one undertone etc. So even if you follow the exact same steps, the result can feel completely different.

The biggest difference for me was paying attention to placement and colors that actually suit my own features instead of forcing trends.

Curious what helped other people figure out what works for their face?
Was it just trial and error, color analysis, following similar creators or something else?
