Stayed at the Trident Nariman Point for the 3 nights the past week. Having already stayed at the Taj Palace and Oberoi, was looking at options to stay this time and booked at intercontinental initially, which I then changed to Trident after seeing a thread on the 2 on reddit.

Booked the Trident Club Room Ocean View. Rate included a 1 way airport transfer and this was very useful as my flight was delayed and landed past midnight only. Check in had to be done at the main lobby as club lounge had closed for the day already.

Got this room on the 30th floor and it seemed to be recently renovated, everything seemed brand new. Comfortable king sized bed, a bit on the softer side, a large TV with good selection of channels, including star sports and sony sports.

Tried room service for supper and was nothing great. Passable hotel fare.

Breakfast at the club lounge had the essentials. Vegetarian items like idly, sambar, chutney, cereals, cold cuts, bread and eggs freshly made on order. The spread was noticeably smaller compared to club lounges I have visited in Thailand and Malaysia but it also meant not much crowd in the lounge for breakfast. I appreciate the silence and non crowdedness.

Outside of meal hours, I really enjoyed the hot bournvita, it was really good and I had several cups of it.

Afternoon Tea was again served with a selection of a veg and non veg sandwich along with other savouries like puffs and cakes. I continued to enjoy my bournvita.

The real highlight was the 4 hour cocktail session. 4 hours was wild and is double the hours of any other hotel i have visited. As a drinker, gave me ample time to try the beer, spirits as well as cocktails made on request. Food spread was again limited and the lack of a staple was noticeable. They went for the finger food bar kind of setup and it didn’t really feel as a dinner. Drinks were good and this alone made club lounge price worth it. Lounge had comfy roomy chairs with good sea views.

The laundry 4 pcs was generous too and very useful. Guaranteed 6pm checkout is another superpower and very useful as my flight was a night departure.

Noticed the club lounge usage in this hotel was quite different. I didnt see anyone working the day from the lounge, it was mostly come in for a snack or drink and move off. No spending extended hours in the lounge.

The staff were amazing. In fact, I have never had a bad experience in any of my Indian hotel stays so far. Trident Mumbai, taj palace Mumbai, Oberoi Mumbai, Oberoi Delhi, Holiday Inn Delhi. Everywhere the staff were courteous, helpful and genuinely want to make the guest feel comfortable and well taken care of. Here it was no different. The club lounge staff remembered my regular order by the 2nd day and always brought them to me. Laundry staff always greeted me and ended with have a good day sir everytime. Top tier hospitality.

Complaints wise, nothing much at all. The keycard tapping to select floor system in the lifts was finicky. Many times it failed to register and I had to go all the way down before it recognised the tap. Certain lifts had this issue while other’s didnt. Food spread in club lounge during the cocktail hours could be improved.

Another fantastic stay in India and the total price 83000 INR for 3 nights was worth it.
