The incredible Nataraja in Kailasa Temple

This is actually on the ceiling. A magnificent relief of Shiva as Nataraja stretches across the ceiling. The Lord's cosmic dance is complete with the dwarf demon Apasmara beneath his feet, symbolising the triumph of knowledge over ignorance. Looking up at it for even a minute leaves my neck aching. Imagining craftsmen carving it overhead over twelve centuries ago is almost beyond belief.

The Living Among the Dead: A Saturday Watching Life in a Cemetery

A quiet Saturday on a tenth-floor balcony turns into an unexpected meditation on life. Watching sheep, goats, and shepherds move through a small cemetery, ordinary scenes begin to mirror ambition, leadership, failure, and mortality. What starts as idle observation slowly becomes a reflection on the strange theater of the human condition.

Have a read….

I shifted to a self hosted domain. Need a review

I run a travel magazine and shifted to a self hosted domain after a few years being in the free version.

The site is primarily travel stories about India. I believe rather naively that my content is decent. It is original for sure.

Spent a lot of time designing it and just wanted a view. It is tough for someone without the complicated field of web design, seo and what not😂

The site is India Wayfarer

Thanks in advance.

Kailasa Temple..Nothing beats this in India

I was here last week as a part of my blogging journey. This is simply the most stunning monument in India. This is the Kailasa Temple in Sambhaji Nagar (erstwhile Aurangabad) in Maharashtra.

Built around 8th Century... It is a temple complex carved out of a single rock. No joints, everything chiseled out of a single rock.

Zoom in and see the two two photos of walls. It is the Mahabharata and Ramayana epics carved into the wall as a story. You will see the scenes clearly
