Help me decide between rosin

Staring down Skunk’s menu and am seriously stuck between:

Kabuki sour (your maine plug)
Pineapple zikigai (papermill)
Icicles (hidden forest)
Kiwi sours (stony brook)
Toaster strudel (faraway)

Grabbing likely only one.

Storing Rosin- am I doing it wrong?

As a recent deep-diver of rosin, I'm wondering if I'm storing it correctly for weekly usage.

I'll buy some take it home, throw it in the fridge for a few hours.

I'll remove it a couple hours later to try some, letting it come to room temp for about 30 minutes before I crack the jar.

I'll use a little hot knife tool to scoop some into my pivot, then I'll cap the jar and put it back in the fridge.

I basically repeat this until the jar is done.

I see so many convos about 'stirring' or just letting it sit out room temp indefinitely.

How do I keep the consistency the best it can be?

Thanks folks

old soma vox version still in existence?

has anyone slotted in the original DJ smokey tags into Soma? or has a clean rip of the original?

I love the release version ofc but I'm ITCHING to hear those absurd, perfectly fitting tags. I miss them badly, even if it's in a bitcrushed mp3.

ai gooners are getting TOO comfy.

ggg claims 'all works copyright' and has had 13 mil viewers to his channel, yet it's AI. Infuriating that they claim 'copyright' on it.

First time seeing Tidal's AI detection, it's refreshing to have that peace of mind.

Organically stumbled upon this album…WOW.

Have had this track on repeat for days- an almost ‘dueling piano’-esq sound combined with a desert-flavored Nintendo game, perhaps. 🌵

Really lovely stuff.

Help me understand nuanced brewing.

So I make all kinds of tea, mostly oolong and puer.

Being brewing almost exclusively in the gongfu cha style for over 3 years, and I’ve always been kinda embarrassed to ask this stuff—

When brewing in a gaiwan, (this might be dependent on preference or the kind of tea it is), after pouring into your pitcher, do you tilt the lid on the rim to cover the gaiwan for some heat retention but to let the steam escape, to not steep the leaves any further? Or do you fully remove the lid before you start your next infusion? Sometimes it’s an hour or two between infusions, sometimes it’s 15 min.

Another question I have is, when watching gongfu cha content on socials, I often see the person remove the lid and let the boiling hot water hit the lid very quickly before filling the gaiwan. Respectfully, wtf is the point of this? I would think the 10% of the water you’re pouring in would become less hot and not ‘scorch’ the leaves, but all of the rest of the water used to fill the gaiwan is surely hotter? I hope this makes sense. Usually I will let the stream hit the side of the gaiwan first to avoid this, regardless. When I try to use the method described above however, I end up spilling boiling water on my counter and thinking ‘this has to be pointless’.

Would love any thoughts on these or guidance.

Cheers folks <3

Suggestions for manzhuan? young or middle aged

Im down to half a cake of bitterleaf's 2017 'eden' manzhaun...it is just DELIGHTFUL.

Any suggestions for younger or middle aged (post 2015?) cakes from this same region that I would love if I liked Eden?

Thanks folks.

Can I create such an effect without blender/C4D?

https://preview.redd.it/05ibutjypech1.png?width=1024&format=png&auto=webp&s=10f7b4d6b858c1bf288cdb9af7f5816c59c0f0e3

Natively or with plugins, I'm wondering how to create a 3D depth/bump map effect (is that what you call it?) with a huge plane/dot grid. Ideally with adjustable properties like random seed of the bumps and the speed of the 'waves', the size/density of the dots and keeping them all sharp whether I zoom in or zoom out.

I'm pretty sure you can achieve this somewhat* easily, I've searched around youtube but only found bits and pieces of 'similar' effects. Especially if I wanted to wrap the dots around a (real or 'fake') 3D shape such as a sphere and manipulate it like that.

If this is easier to do in a 3D software, any best practices to achieve this would be very appreciated.

Thanks fellow artists

Really enjoy this kind of jazz, could I get some guidance?

Really been digging the hell out of Matthew Halsall’s music and everyone on Gondwana Records- such evocative, soulful, passionate, introspective sounds.

I really like the lively sounding ones, (coming from discovering I enjoyed jazz from video games and J fusion)

Could I get some artist or track recommendations in any of the styles/genres I’d mentioned above?

Tyvm :)

Is this consistency weird? Rosin

Never had moon jelly before outside of a moonbow cart which was quite good. It says fresh press on the side but as far as I’m aware it was at least one round+ ago. Decent high and a very cherry-forward terp profile, but is this normal? Tougher/stringy texture.

I was thinking it could be because I didn’t let it fully settle to room temp before using…but I gave it like 30 min+

Relatively new to rosin. Cheers

Med card recert under $75?

Anyone have any idea where I could recert my med card under $75? Ideally in the city proper or online. Tired of getting shafted by leafwell.

Thanks friends

med card cert renewal under 75 dollars?

Seems a bit steep in 2026, anyone know of places I can recert for under $75? I'm in MA, mods please remove if that isn't allowed.

Thanks in advance.

best place/farm to find new harvest green tea in Tokyo/Kyoto area?

I'll be in tokyo and kyoto area in late september, and I see d-matcha and obubu wonderful wazuka area tea tours, but am wondering if these focus primarily on matcha, as I would very much love to learn about the processing of + purchase and taste newly available gyokuro/sencha/tencha.

Surely what I made exists already as a sauce?

Ordered some delicious korean fried chicken, and as im chowing down I realize I forgot to add any sauce.

i tried making this-

1tbsp gochujang paste
2tbsp mayo
1tbsp soy sauce
2 cloves finely minced fresh garlic, roasted for 2 min

Stired together and optionally chilled…delish. Posting this because I cannot fathom im even among the first to try something so basic.

Does it exist? (Excluding Kindle/Kobo)

Is there a high build-quality ereader out there with very comparable PPI / brightness /warm/cool tone functionality with very small bezels out there?

I really would rather not go back to kindle. I’m surprised that for such a simple tech, ereaders STILL have gigantic bezels.

Bw or color, I don’t mind. I would prefer around the 6”-7” size.

PAPIIIIIIIIII hits home forsure, ngl. The track is still fucking sick. But that shadow people line did my head in, was so funny but also incredibly eerie.

Joint smokers- I need help😭

So, yeah, I use cones. Sue me. I’ll stuff em firmly but not WICKED tightly, using ‘greens’ hemp cones from Canadian Lumber right now.

And the thing is, i’d been using the RAW ‘hemp’ cones before. I’d usually cut the very sliver of the top of so it got a ‘cleaner’ burn like you would a cigar, and hit it with the soft-flame lighter. Fucking minor canoes ALL the time. And also, my terps (have a half oz of DFT to work through) would pretty much die out(also using the same DFT flower) by the 4th hit, or so? I just figured thats how the science was.

BUT— since I started using a jet flame lighter (I hate this windy-ass-region) and the new cones, I might be high- but the terps were NOTABLE down to almost the nub. I was floored. Usually i’d be lucky if the terps reached halfway.

So wtf do yall think I’m doing wrong?

overlapping geometry with strokes STILL, after static font used

I had the variable font of Vazirmatn installed, I deleted it, dragged&dropped the static versions into font book, back into AE, same exact issue. I thought the static versions of a font was supposed to fix this issue? So frustrating. There are a million messy workaround solutions to get a stroke for the text but for my purposes it needs to be efficient.

Are some fonts just like this, both in the variable and static versions?

Thanks
