If you could pinpoint the exact tv character where you inherited a characteristic from watching too much as a kid…. Who would it be?
Darlene Connor and her sarcasm for sure

My favorite childhood picture of my dad. I see all the similarity in me, my siblings, and the grandkids. The genes are strong here! 😆
This little suit and shoes are now in a shadow box on my parents’ wall.
Does anyone remember these?
LOL, never owned one myself but remember seeing them where I worked. I might have even used it.
Kids today won't know what this is.
We have this tray on the counter for odds and ends, I guess that includes Ginger 🙃
Any locals remember Jiffy Burger? It was on Madison near Kroger. It was when Camera World was a thing. 🙃😆 I believe this location is a Mexican restaurant now. I spent many a time eating there with my grandma and claimed this mug from her stuff after she passed. Good times! ❤️
This subreddit randomly popped up for me which was very timely. My daughter is getting her GED instead of returning for her senior year. Due to mental health things and the extra fluff and nonsense that comes with school this seems to be the better path for her. I love seeing everyone’s posts about passing and celebrating this achievement! Gives me great encouragement as a parent and I wish everyone great success ahead! 🫶
Anyone in TN who went through getting their loved one on the CHOICES program? It’s the deal where the one with a disability gets assistance they have less than $2000 in assets. I’ll have to jump through hoops, since our house is in my husband’s name. 😵💫 I need to figure out something to have some in home care for my husband since we don’t have thousands of dollars to burn.
It’s not urgent as of right now. I just didn’t know if someone went through it could tell me if it would be worth my time.

My dad served in the Navy for 21 years. I’ve never in my life seen my dad with hair like this! Not to mention the white belt 😆
I can hold my head up better now. 😆 Married 45 years in September—4 kids, 5 grandkids. All is well! 💖
A while ago I posted about possible needing a couples' therapist where caregiving is involved. Someone commented something along the lines of if my husband is not able to be emotionally engaged it might be a moot point. I was a bit taken aback by the comment, and it honestly stayed with me.
I've been in group therapy for several weeks and individual therapy for years to work through everything that has come since my husband's stroke. I'm finally coming to terms that he can't give me emotional support like he used to, and I have to put up a wall to an extent so I don't get hurt. Part of me has been hoping for 4 years that the emotional support side of him that I've depended on so much. It's as if I've unlocked a new level of grief. I know he loves me, and I love him. I will continue caring for him. I think this new acceptance will help me in the long run.
I just wanted to say thank you to whoever said that. It was hard to hear, but something I needed to consider.
