I'm nearly done with my OT living form dex. I've been working on it on and off for a long time and I always knew that Alcremie took up a ridiculous chunk of it, but 4.54% surprised me. It's the last most daunting part of this journey.
Any tips or suggestions for how to make it easier are very welcome!
Has anyone gotten this working? I'm trying to unify my screen time control and generally rely on Apple's screen time settings plus a bit of Foqos. However, I haven't been able to figure out how to get screen time working on Brave on Mac.

My hair seems wildly inconsistent and it's probably my fault but I really have no idea what I'm doing. I'm probably using the wrong product or missing the right products.
I'm looking for a routine that's as low maintenance as possible, that will help my hair be consistent. I'm also open to thoughts and opinions on length.
I really love the flexibility and I've been working on making the deck as pretty as possible haha. Any recommendations to make the deck more relevant for the modern meta? I'm not even sure what the biggest flex cards would be... maybe Sabrina or Starting Plains?
This post inspired me to re-think how EV training could be done in-game to make creating a viable competitive Pokemon (or team) from your regular play-through feel more natural.
I LOVE Champions and what it did for making VGC more accessible and I love not having to EV train in the games. I think the system in the game felt very artificial and extremely boring: look up which pokemon give the most X EVs, find out where to find those Pokemon, equip a specific power item, defeat X number of those Pokemon, rinse and repeat for other EVs. It just doesn't jive with the rest of the Pokemon experience.
So my question for you all: how would you change the EV and/or nature system in game to make it feel more like you're raising Pokemon the way you want, and ending up with something that you could actually use competitively if you wanted?
I have date references all over my notes (due date, watch date, release date, etc) but I have not found a way to view all date references easily in Obsidian. I know I could identify all my date types, create a list, create a base, and manually add to it each time, but that seems unnecessarily tedious. That date is a unique entity that Obsidian already ties to things like Daily Note.
I don't see it on github under the release itself or in the documentation. I just like to see what's changing in a plugin before I update it.
I'm using TaskNotes to manage my to-do lists, projects and habits. One thing I haven't really been able to get used to is recurring tasks for habits. If I miss a day, the habit just kinda disappears into the ether and I have to find it, go into the card, and skip that date in the calendar modal. It feels like a lot of work, especially when I'm knocked out sick for a day and miss several habits.
Is there an easier way to mark any past days as skipped instances? Or better yet, mark days since your last completed instance as skipped?
I keep track of movies and games in Obsidian and when going through my backlog it's nice to have the movie/game summaries to read to help decide what to watch/play.
The way I generate my notes, it basically creates a blank file with a bunch of frontmatter metadata EXCEPT the summary which felt too long to put in properties so I put that in the body instead. However, I'm actually starting to feel like putting the summary in the frontmatter, so that I can render it using dataviewJS in my "hero card" would actually be preferable as it would keep all the note body content user-generated and give me better access to the summary for reasons like what I mentioned above.
I guess what I'm asking is: is 50-250 words too much to put in frontmatter?
I’m missing over 50 moons still. I really wanted to find them all without a guide, so I’m wondering if the community has some general tips for finding those tricky ones and making the best use of the birds hints.
Until recently this was working for me, but as of today I can't drag files from, say, Finder to Messages unless I turn stage manager off.
I used to be able to do this (drag, hold over the other stage until it pops up) but now no matter how long I hold it there, or if I "force click" it won't do anything.
I would like to be able to look at a given day and see what happened / will happen on that day. Ideally I could use date fields as a way to anchor all of this. Unfortunately I'm having trouble figuring out how to do this.
I know that I can wikilink to a Daily Note and that means it will show up in backlinks, which is nice. But regular date fields ala "release_date", "completion_date" can't be linked this way and creating a base view would require finding all date properties and updating a filter if/when new ones are added, which seems like an unnecessary hassle.
Has anyone else encountered this? Any suggestions?
I know that Unlinked Mentions can't find candidates in YAML. I would however, love this capability myself.
My use case is something like:
When I create that note, I want to be able to go to the backlinks pane and link all the games that have Nintendo Switch mentioned in the properties.
Is this possible natively and I haven't figured it out? Is there a plugin that solves this?
For context, I'm building a plugin that lets me create different types of media notes so that I can consume content more thoughtfully and actually take time to reflect, so there will be lots of media types (games, movies, books, etc) and I'll have a lot of different possible relations that I'd like to link in YAML (platform, actor, album, etc).
I’m a huge fan of the original N64 game, was probably my favorite N64 game as a kid. I remember (embarrassingly) crying in front of my dad after making it to Venom 2 for the first time and losing my last life at Andross because I didn’t know his patterns. So was really excited to pick this up and decided I wanted to do my younger self proud and have my first run be on the hard path while trying to get all the medals.
As you can see, I almost did it, but not quite. I couldn’t manage to beat team Star Wolf fast enough to get the medal for the level after arriving with a single laser, but man it was a crazy run and I had so much fun. Even just trying the Star Wolf battle over and over, I could feel myself improving. It was so fun! This version doesn’t change the level designs (because they’re pretty immaculate) but it is easier than the N64 version because the controls and aiming are so much easier. I’m not mad at that especially with Expert mode being a thing plus the Challenges.
If you’re thinking about picking this up, please do. I would love for Nintendo to see how much people are enjoying this and greenlight a truly new Star Fox rail shooter.
Velan Studios did an excellent job, hats off to them. The only things I’d change so far after just my one run are: in-game controller mapping (though you can do this from the system settings), telling us more explicitly about the - button changing views, and letting us restart the previous mission from Venom like you let us for other levels.
Ok, for the new thing I leaned: maybe this is old news, but did you know you get paid SP$64 per kill? That’s cool.
I've tried a lot of different things, and keeping hitting a wall because Notion paywalls my own data, not allowing Claude to see databases, instead, only allowing it to search for things semantically, meaning I can't ask it to pull me a list of all X and then do something with that. Here's what it gets when it tries:

The only thing holding me back is how long I've spent getting my Notion just the way I want it, and how long it would take to get Obsidian setup the same way.
The funny thing is, I'd pay for Notion if there was a tier for individual users that actually gave you useful functionality, but it seems like Notion is not interested in individual users, and instead just trying to appeal to corporations.
Post. I know that languages can be changed in the System Settings, but I have a Switch 2 Japanese-only (long story) so can only change language settings via in-game settings.
I vibe coded a python app to let you add movies, music, games, and books into individual databases in Notion. This was my way of breaking away from platforms like GoodReads, Trakt, etc. It works really well for me via Apple Shortcuts, so when someone recommends a movie, I can just pull up TMDB page and share it to the shortcut and it will appear in my Notion momentarily where I can take notes on who recommended it and why, etc.
For TV shows it helps me track when new episodes come out and stuff which is cool, and for Music it finally allowed me to take notes and reflect on music I listen to in a way that's easy to resurface and share.
Why am I sharing this? No particular reason. It works for me, though I'm sure the code is pretty awful (I tried to go through at points and consolidate redundancies and make things more efficient, but I haven't coded full time in yearrrs). I'd like to be able to mention calendar events in other DBs (journal, notes, tasks, etc). I was hoping that Notion Calendar would help achieve this, but unfortunately I can't seem to find a way to do it.
Has anyone done this before? Tips on the easiest way to set it up?
Has anyone else noticed this? I'll reference a page in a text field (using [[ or @ to reference the page dynamically) and I'll come back later and it's been replaced with plain text. Mildly annoying and just wanted to see if this is happening to anyone else.
I use Notion Free, never used the Notion AI features. I have a Claude Pro plan and figured I could try using Claude to pull basic information from Notion using the official MCP. However, whenever I ask Claude to pull information like "check all my tasks due today, and add up their size" it says it can't search Notion in that way, it can only use semantic search.
Am I doing something wrong? I tried researching and the Notion MCP page itself says it should be able to do actual queries: https://developers.notion.com/guides/mcp/mcp-supported-tools#search-notion-and-connected-sources
