Why South Indian states don't reciprocate the progressive laws in the North? /S

So, North Indian cities have progressive laws (I am sure you get the sarcasm) like controlling someone's food habit. Why doesn't South have such progressive laws? Like someone coming to Hyderabad has to eat the quintessential Hyderabadi biryani ? If not, they get criminally charged and sent back to their la la land in the north? What about banning dhokla and thepla in Bengaluru? Anyone selling those get prosecuted?

Was SpaceX IPO a mistake?

Is the world's richest man stupid? Why did he list SpaceX on a public platform? The asking was 1.7 trillion $. This is something that Mayur from Nagpur makes selling panipuri? Is the rumor false that Mayur makes a trillion $ per day and doesn't pay taxes? He owns 2 Katha land in Daryaganj. Assuming land anywhere India is a billion$/sq ft, thats more than SPCX valuation? Is this propaganda like the $ 3000 per capita while we all know uncle selling groceries in Prayagraj makes $3 mil per minute and doesn't pay taxes. This sounds similar to Monaco being called richer. The average dude in Monaco isn't even a millionaire, while the average thelawala in India is tax free trillionaire?

Lets meet R2I uncle: Uncle Shyam

Let's meet Shyam bhai. Uncle starts his day with a WhatsApp message about how great India is doing and hasn't missed a single session of Howdy M and Namaste London. Uncle is very patriotic, he chants India India every day. More times than jawan at Siachin. Uncle has 5 properties around the world, 3 in his wife's name and 2 in his child's name. Uncle has millions saved up in retirement account. But, uncle goes around and claims how he misses his days when he only had a backpack to his name. He preaches young Indians about spirituality and yoga. Uncle has only ever done chair yoga and lives in AC 5 start hotels.

Uncle is very generous. Uncle takes financial decisions in USD, but is very particular about one thing in INR, the one donation of 1000 Rs he made once. He brings up that huge contribution every time and how that lead to ISRO and all the developments.

Uncle is always ready to leave all the worldly possessions as it makes him unhappy. He yearns for his days at the tea stall. He still visits the tea stall to lecture people and complains about tea prices have risen. One day the tea stall owner didn't have 2 Rs change for his 10 Rs change, he made a scene and called out how people are being cheated. Ended up not paying for his tea.

Uncle will do anything but stay In India. He begs everyone to stay in the West. But, he's a very patriotic. He celebrates 15th August by burning crackers when he is in Texas. But, he starts celebrating 4th of July with random stuff when he's in India. Uncle has all sorts of stories about the immigration officer went into shock when they saw the Indian passport in the immigration line and asked if the person can walk out of the airport or needs the limo. But uncle still kept his foreign passport.

Back In India, uncle exclusively buys foreign brands and is the biggest advocate for make in India. Uncle has countless stories of a foreigner said how great things were in India. Uncle is big on INR. Says it will be the go to currency when the Euro and dollar collapses, but uncle keeps all his money in foreign currency. Uncle is all about how poor foreign schools are and the reason why he brought his kids back. Uncle is spending 500 Rs a month on government college and will send the kids back abroad as soon as the cheap education is done.

Coming to kolkata on an international flight

Coming to Kolkata on an international flight. Suppose I carry a chicken/egg sandwich from the flight, can I be prosecuted now? Is carrying non-veg a criminal offense now? Or is it a civil misdemeanor ?

Why aren't NRIs and OCIs given the due credit?

Just curious why NRIs and OCIs aren't given the due credit. Like seriously, Uncle wakes up and shares posts about how great India is and how well they're doing the moment he wakes up from his Manhattan penthouse. Doesn't miss a day. Uncle praises everything Indian with his foreign passport. He will praise everything Indian, but will do everything except living in India. Uncle attends every howdy and Namaste program each time it happens. Uncle screams India more than my friends that work for the Indian army. Uncle gets cheap education for kids from India and then moves the kids to EU/US before they qualify for in state tuition.

With all this generous contribution why is uncle not eligible for the Padma awards? Uncle literally screams India everyday on WhatsApp?

What CR got right and BB made a complete P2W disaster

People say Clash Royale is P2W. Well, kind of. Clash Royale has introduced new levels, evolutions and heroes. Boom -- same thing: new levels, squad leaders and gadgets. Now, the problem. For CR, if I like a new hero or evolution and feel its OP, I just get the $15 pass Royale and can instantly max it out. Some month, I dont like the new evo, I skip the pass. F2P cannot max out all evos and heroes for sure, but they can definitely save up and max the ones they like. BB, on the other hand is a complete sh** show. I can get the pass and end up with no squad leaders, cant choose which one I want to max out. I can drop $1000 and still have almost 100% chance that I wont be able to max out a squad leader I like. BB offers me no choices for spending my money, which CR does. I have no incentive to spend money on this game. Say I want max Doomfetti, the tank hero. It can be $100 to $1 mil. As someone that spends real $ on this game, I'll pass. If I am spending real money, I want to control what I am buying, not some gacha bs.

A house is an appreciating asset and a flat is a depreciating asset? Correct me please.

Ok need some data and opinions on this. I feel like a standalone house appreciates because the land appreciates (generally speaking, may not be everywhere, assume tier-1). For flat, you don't won the land, the building quality deteriorates and the value depreciates. As much as you want, it wont cost the same as a new flat in the same area. The laws around redevelopment are grey, so once the building quality deteriorates (maybe 50-100 years), the asset is gone? I maybe wrong, just asking.

If south India can say to no to cowbellters, why cant west say no to India?

I get it. Bengaluru has had enough of cowbelters. They wont speak the language, reduce local wages etc. Maybe the world should also be able to say enough of Indians? Maybe the ones paying for 3rd and 4th children should stay where they're and not take resources from the ROW?

Health and term insurance agents and enthusiasts: up for a challenge?

I see Indian finance subs are very big on health and term insurance. To me, both of these are for mental peace. So, here's a fun challenge for you. Anyone up for it? As a dude in 30s, my term insurance + health insurance for 1cr and 25L is ~ 30k. I'll pay you 5x the amount. Will give you a head start as well. No claims for the first 5 years. I'll pay out of pocket if something happens. But, after 5 years, your job is simple. NO questions asked, 0, absolutely 0. If I fall sick, insurance will pay and if I die, term will pay. My dependents will send you the bills/death certificate. You can ask me anything now, PED, drinking smoking anything. I'll even tell you the hospitals I'lll go to if I fall sick. I'll answer each and every question now, but nothing after 5 years. You decide the plan, insurer. I'll pay you 5x the total premium. We will have an attorney notarized document. You ask me/my dependents any questions when claim happens, you pay me 1 cr. No receipts needed. You can keep that 1.5L/year for yourself or pay any insurer.

Part B of the challenge is I'll pledge everything I have and you pledge 1/5th of that and put in escrow: Condition: you'll ask me something or bring up some PED or something when claim happens. If you don't, you claim the entire amount. I do Physics for a living and will take this deal without blinking if an apple from a tree goes up and not down. So, why don't you take it ? If you're so confident this is the way to go?

Is reddit a reliable indicator of what's not going to happen?

I definitely do not follow every election across the world. But, for the ones I do, it seems like whoever is winning on reddit is losing in the real world. Everyone that reddit calls names and is 200% sure is going to lose is having a field day out there?
