Hi I'm new-ish to magic and commander. I've played a handful of games and generally understand how to play. I really want to make a viable rat deck. One of the commanders is [Karumonix, The Rat King], which adds toxic 1 to all rats.

Will I be beaten up if I did that? We generally try not to make decks that make the game unfun (like a deck that just counters every spell you cast so you're just not playing). How is your experience going against poison? Do you hate it? Or is it only as annoying as any other normal deck?

If it is too unfun, what rat commander would you recommend? We like to stay in (what I understand as) bracket 2 and 3

99% of anime that exceeds 100 episodes does it due to pacing issues. A story can be a 10/10, but if you stretch it thin, it demolishes the quality by a LOT. It takes all potential greatness and just tramples on it.

It's not wrong to love giant series. I love Dragon Ball Z. But it's terrible because of its pacing. DBZ is a 23 volume manga, and it's almost 300 episodes. That should only be 50-75 episodes.

The only popular exceptions are Naruto and One Piece -- since they have so many manga volumes, but they are the worst culprits!

I watched 40 episodes of One Piece, thought is was such a fun concept, but every time anything happens, a baddie yells "Oh my god, did he just blow into his thumb, making his fist gigantic, and swing it behind his back 4 times and thrust it forward, knocking our great leader off the building, even though our leader is presumably the strongest out there? Just who is this kid?" all the while, a still image is slowly crawling left on the screen for one and a half minutes.

I stopped playing for a year, and came back to this being my character. For reference I have almost 2000 hours in the game (not a brag, more embarrassing), so I know what I'm doing when it comes to making builds. I typically either do fun builds, or challenge runs.

But after a year of not playing, I am baffled at how dumb this build looks. I KNOW I had a vision, but I can't figure it out at all. I am right before the Abyss Watchers, the only reason I'm low level is probably because I usually don't die in the first quarter of the game, so I don't stack any souls.

I started the game as a thief, and clearly I've dumped every single point into strength, however I'm still using the Bandit's Knife, so it's probably my end game weapon. Literally the only build I can conceive of is a dagger-greatshield build. Using a heavy gem on the knife, and hiding behind a shield for quick jabs. Maybe using heavy magic shield? I can't see why else I'm absolutely dumping everything into strength

(I'm not sure why I don't have the silver serpent ring)

What builds would you all use with these stats, if you couldn't respec? I'm thinking of doing the shield thing, it might be fun, but if you have any other suggestions, aside from a basic bonk build, I'm all ears

Please educate me, I am not familiar with the comics, only cartoons and movies. I remember in one story, Jor-El knew about yellow suns and their effect of Kryptonians.

I'm just surprised that Kryptonians know about yellow suns and it seems that literally none of them care about getting super powers. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a huge portion of them would choose to not abandon their lives for super powers, but it's insane that only a handful of Kryptonians were off-planet for its destruction

I guess Jor-El's space ship was "experimental," but that's a crazy jump in technology if they literally were unable to inhabit any planet, but Jor-El made a ship that could pin-point earth's trajectory from light years away

I know, I know. I've watched enough super hero stuff to know this falls under "don't think too hard about that," but it is so odd that there isn't at least like, 1000 Kryptonians in every iteration of superman's story

As a twitter user, I'm sure you're familiar with the change that videos you watch on mobile immediately switch to a new random video (like an automatic tiktok or youtube shorts)

There seems to be two completely different algorithms:

• My Home Page: 10 years of cultivating nerdy art, funny videos, cats, and occasional politics
• My Video Auto-plays: LITERAL SNUFF FILMS 95% OF THE TIME

I mean it! it's usually censored if it's gorey, but every auto-play is deadly police bodycam footage, somebody getting killed in a robbery, security cam footage of a senseless murder, or a street fight where somebody clearly gets incredibly injured

Imagine you're watching a cute cat video where the cat meows weirdly, then it ends abruptly and smash-cuts to somebody on top of another guy, crushing his face in with his elbow. HALF A SECOND

I know the Super Intellectual response would be "oh if you're seeing it, then this is what you've been fully watching and it's the main thing you interact with. You actually DO want this," but I don't. I've watched a few of them, but it's because of morbid curiosity, and it literally won't show me anything else to allow me to change this algorithm.

I know I probably can't change this, because Twitter's main policy is "make everything worse," but I was wondering if anybody else has a similar terrible video algorithm. I have one friend who says she only gets My Little Pony autoplays, and she has never liked or watched it (full grown ass adult)

I know this has probably been discussed to death 5 years ago, but I just now got into the game. What are your thoughts about Tawna's redesign? Obviously she's from a different timeline, so she's basically a different character.

Personally I think she looks pretty good. Her hair is whatever, but I love her outfit, and her CMY color-scheme looks great with the leather jacket. I like that she has ears on the side of her head like Crash, instead of on the top like a cat-girl.

As far as personality change, honestly I've only seen her in Crash 1, so her entire personality was just pointing at your game progress and hugging crash at the end. Basically no character at all. In the Crash 4 version, this is honestly my only gripe with her. She's badass and capable, which I really like! But she's kind of lame and cringe in a "2015 millennial tumblr reddit" kind of way. Saying shit like "oh sugoi! a heckin doggo! erm, spicy asian food? YES PLEASE!"

That's pretty much my whole take. Looks cool, acts cool, says annoying shit.

What do you all think of her?

Modern Mode or Retro Mode?

I think it literally doesn't matter. You get SO many lives throughout this game. I'm collecting all the clear gems, and going through the hardest levels. I've never dipped below 92 lives.

Now, does this mean I'm an EPIC GAMER? I'm probably about average at this game, but there's literally nothing in this game that will make you game over, unless you're just impossibly bad at the game.

I'm in Toxic Tunnels doing the all-boxes run of the SUPER 4 GEM AREA, and I've died 16 times. I have 96 lives now. The game has so many wumpa fruit, and golden wumpas, that you stack up lives like it's nothing. I would have to die 320 times to get a game over

Is this a bad thing? No, I think most Crash games are pretty generous with lives, I usually end up with 99 lives before the mid-game. But it begs the question: why make Modern Mode at all? In Retro Mode, if you lose all lives (somehow) you just go to the beginning of a level with a few lives. I can't imagine this ever happening, and god forbid it does, you can play two early levels and get at least 30 lives

Am I making any sense? Modern mode seems like an Accessibility option. I think I'm pretty average at this game, what do y'all think about Modern Mode and the lives system?

I'm half-way through getting all the clear gems, and I decided to try a few platinum relics. I was so excited to do the relics, because slide-jumping off ledges and skipping platforms is super fun.

Imagine my surprise when I learned that I have to constantly do a rhythm game with the triple-spin the entire time. It's annoying to time this (obviously I'll get used to it, but still), Coco and Crash look SUPER stupid spinning the entire time, and it's just actively not a fun mechanic to add to an already incredibly difficult game!

I already think the clear gems are borderline evil, the relics are even worse! At least I was having fun with the clear gems

Maybe I'm the only one who thinks half the levels contain 1-10 EXTREMELY hidden boxes, but there's not a single youtube video that compiles all the hidden areas into a single video. I just have to watch 24 four minute long videos showing a guy getting the all-crates gem. That is so unsatisfying to me, I just want to memorize all the hidden areas and play the game... not open up youtube and search almost every level for crates that are more well-hidden than the hidden-gems

You are on a 2D platforming section, and the game wants you to break the 2D section, and jump in black water (always a death sentence) to grab 6 boxes. If the graffiti on the wall explained this, that would be fine, but it doesn't.

Almost half the levels have something like this, and it's impossible for me to find these even if I retried them 10 times. I just wanna learn all the BS locations ahead of time, not skim through 2 hours of playthroughs. Does anybody know of a video (or webpage with images) that just compiles all these hidden boxes? I'm begging pleeease

Not really. It's an incredibly fun game, and that last level where you >!go through the gauntlet switching between all the masks!< is a top 3 platformer moment for me.

BUT IF YOU WANT TO COLLECT STUFF, It's a nightmare! I'm sure it's been said here before, but please, I have to scream into the void.

I'm trying to get the blue gem by >!not breaking any boxes!<, and they give you the "ultra-spin box-breaking tornado" power, and place boxes on every ledge that you can land on. OOPS, checkpoints are boxes! Gotta do the level over. Found a safe place to land? boom! we hid a box behind this wall. Restart, idiot

The levels are so so so long. That's not a problem by itself, but they constantly hide collectables offscreen that are fully unreachable unless you react 0.05 seconds after breaking the only box that will let you reach it. So many levels have crates that are stupidly hidden, and I do FULL SWEEPS. They made getting all the boxes miserable, halfway through the game. Fuck it, there's a box offscreen that you have to blindly jump off to get. No, you can't move your camera that far down, are you stupid? You should be jumping into every death pit in case there's a secret box!

That's my biggest thing. They treat regular crates the way previous games treated super-secret levels that you needed a game magazine to learn about.

Anyways, regardless of all that, I'm gonna continue to collect everything. This game is really good. I hope they make a Crash 5

Please tell me the worst levels you had to suffer through in this game. Maybe I'll get those out of the way so it's smooth sailing

I'll say it, I'm a DS3 apologist. I agree with a lot of legitimate complaints about it, like the linear nature of the world. Or the lack of power-stancing. Or how armor is much less of a big deal.

But saying the game is gray is such a non-substantive criticism. It's also sort of not true. Yes it is more desaturated than the other two games, but it is still extremely breathtaking, almost everywhere in the game. And almost every single area has saturated colors to complements the "gray," which in my eyes commands a powerful aesthetic.

This complaint sort of implies that beauty can only exist in saturated colors. If you paint a beautiful person gray, are they now ugly? Are there really people out there who can't enjoy a game unless it's popping with bright colors?

Now, of course this is a legitimate preference. But as far criticism goes, this is as legit as complaining about the lack of tit-shaped armor for the women. Is that actually a bad thing, or just a well made aesthetic choice of the game?

I'm uncircumcised. When it comes to jackin' it, this isn't really a problem. When I'm actually having sex, though, the head of my penis is completely stimulated in a way my hand can't recreate. It's totally fine the majority of the time, but when I'm nearing orgasm, like 45 seconds leading up to it, it feels waaay too sensitive. As in, not "painful," but so stimulating and overwhelming that it is not enjoyable unless I slow down a lot. Like the head of my penis is on fire (in a bad way).

Now, when this first happened, I was like "oh, well, I was a virgin, so I'm probably just not used to sex. This will go away." BUT IT HASN'T! It's been 15 years, and using extremely scientific methods: I've most likely had sex over 1,000 times (please clap). I'm so surprised that I still have to slow down like 1/4 the speed every time I approach orgasm. Is this common? It's not like, THAT big of a deal. I mean, I would rather have the choice of keeping pace, and thrust through my orgasm if I chose to.

Luckily I live with my one-and-only, and this is well known to her too. But I was wondering if any dudes also just get completely overwhelmed

Sorry for a gross post, but this is important! Me and my lady did something different that required an extra amount of lube. We laid down a towel, and I didn't realize until 2 days later, that it soaked through the towel and into my nice poly/cotton dark green sheets. It was silicon lube, specifically. I haven't tried anything to clean it yet, because I'm terrified that the method I choose may set the stain in place, permanently

Normally I would buy new sheets, but these were like $110, and the color matches my walls perfectly, and they are so so comfy. What can I do? Please 🙏

I've been getting really into cooking. I'm trying to get REALLY good at it, eventually, by cooking a new really complex meal once a week, that pushes what I'm comfortable doing.

THAT'S NOT WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR! I'm looking for everyone's favorite meal that takes less than an hour to prepare. I'm doing this for food prep reasons, but any family sized meal will work for that, since I live alone.

I'm tired of spaghetti, veggie stir-fry, and hamburger helper, but I love how easy they are to make in the middle of a work week.

What's your favorite less-than-1-hour meal (I don't consider cooking it and doing nothing while I wait as part of the time)? I'll be reheating this, so keep that in mind, but I have pretty low standards haha. I'm open to literally anything from any culture.

I feel like I'm going crazy! I use a wacom tablet, and used spacebar for color picking, and CTRL for brush size! My friends all say "no stupid, ctrl has always been crouch, you must have changed it" NO you literally cannot change the controls!

I'm so sad because I have to awkwardly bring my right hand all the way to the mouse and hold right click to change size! Am I crazy? I'm 100% sure but like 12 people said I'm wrong. What a horrible update to take away ctrl as the size changer (assuming I'm not insane)

PLEASE DON'T KILL ME. Most of the Mexican/South American restaurants near me that make actual dishes (outside of tacos/tortas/burritos) are pretty bad. I've been getting REALLY into cooking for the past couple years, and I've got pretty decent. I can sometimes make dishes that legit blow me and everyone away, but I'm not too great outside of following recipes (working on that)

Basically: I've been trying to cook great dishes from around the world, and I've had amazing African, French, Indonesian, Taiwanese dishes (etc)... but every single dish I make from south of the USA border comes out "fucking fine I guess"

I can make the meat of these dishes tender, sear the meat great, roast the veggies great, I can make sauces a good consistency, but the FLAVOR is always lacking something. Like, everything tastes like I'm just making a regular, non-special dinner. Like on the level of spaghetti and meatballs. On the level of saute'd meat and veggies on rice. FINE DINNERS. Sometimes above average. But not like "hey I made something really special"

I've made Brazilian oxtail soup, Peruvian ceviche, Mexican pescado a la talla, and Cuban ropa vieja (spiritually south american)

Obviously my skill may be a problem, maybe I'm using bad recipes, or maybe my choices of meals are not great. But while the texture and moistness of everything is great, the taste is just "whatever." My roommates agree that these are some of my worst meals I've made (just being "fine"). It makes me want to explore cuisine of this region less, but I know I'm wrong, because that region is hailed as some of the best food in the world.

Please give me some suggestions for recipes from central/south american (and the surrounding islands). Or give me some tips on what I'm probably doing wrong when it comes to seasoning these dishes
