Just finished Naoki Urasawa’s Monster and if I’m being 100% real I enjoyed it a lot but the discourse online to me seems to conclude Johan doesn’t have any kind of magic powers but there are many many scenes that don’t make any sense unless he does. The show also heavily implies he does. Like the eugenics experiment was a success and him and his sister were the successes. I believe they made Psychics. Hence why Johan can know things about people he shouldn’t and has no real way of knowing and why Nina later can also see other peoples memories. Nina having a name acts as a natural barrier to this in the form of her sense of self but Johan is nameless so there is no identity to protect himself from memories of others. They all become his and Johan was packed full of the worst people on top of his own repressed experiences. Johan is more others than he is himself. Johan can also use this repression in others to mind control them almost. Since he can read minds and transmit memories (we see him do this at the end with Tenma) he can absorb everything about someone even their repressed or stolen memories. Hence why Johan has such a grip on a lot of these killers he can deliver them things they’ve repressed or forgotten as well as his internal version of themselves is more complete than the version living in their real bodies. Johan can essentially pilot them because the real Roberto is more in Johan than in Roberto. Since Johan has access to things Roberto has had removed. He’s s blank slate except what Johan gifts him. Nina starts awakening to her powers towards the end as well. We can see her doing it a few times. She has Johans memories and vice versa. However Johan can’t separate them from himself because he is nameless. Hence why Tenma rebirths him as a new being at the end of the show when Tenma tells him his true name. Johan finally becomes a person who can make his own memories. Rather than this void of everyone else’s. I just think Johan 100% has Psychic powers and the discourse online doesn’t take into account the many times he actually uses it. Like he is a master manipulator but he has an upper hand by being this nameless monster than can consume others memories and even grant them memories they’ve forgotten. I think when Tenma gives him his real name at the end the nameless monster dies and whoever Johan actually is is born.

How much is reasonable to pay for a Gameboy Color with the following done to it?

- Recapped
- AMOLED Touchscreen
- USBC + chargeable Battery
- New Shell and buttons/pads
- Audio Amp and higher watt speaker + Upgraded cap to account for this
- New Power regulator
- Generally clean/reflowed and cold joints

Just trying to gauge what a fair price in North America for something like this would be.

For the Mods I am not buying/selling/trading. Just asking what the community as a whole thinks is reasonable for something like this to make sure when I do buy/sell/trade I'm not being scammed.

Hey everyone I'm looking to build a PS2 thats going to last me a lifetime from now. Preferably the phat model. Here are the things I am looking for.

- Fully Recapped (tantalums replaced if needed or possible)
- Laser and Motors and any gears or belts replaced
- Regreased
- The top of the drive that holds the discs to be in excellent condition (If it makes poor contact discs dont spin)
- Battery replaced
- Fan Replaced with a 5v noctua with a voltage stabilizer (can provide a link to product)
- Cold or old solder joints reflowed where needed
- Generally deep cleaned.
- Thermal pads and other thermal components replaced
- 500Gb SSD installed (not an older IDE drive please)
- All contacts cleaned
- Anything else you'd recommend for longevity

I register this is going to be very expensive. I am willing to pay for the skills required here. Not asking for any illegal work just a thorough refurbishing basically. Please send me examples of your work and a price! I'd love to work with some of yall!

Just trying to get a decent laser replacement and dont want to pay more than needed. If the Amazon one is better quality thats not a big deal for me. For me Quality > Price but if there is no real difference in quality then I'm going to choose the lower price.

My projector is ceiling mounted (Yes my thermostat is too lol) with plenty of space on all sides. I have an AC in the room that keeps the room around 70 degrees and at WORST 85 degrees on 100 degree F days. All of these temperatures are well within the projectors specified operating range. I dont crank any settings either. We're on normal mode with brightness and contrast sub 50 or below. I have a dehumidifier in the room that keeps it at 40% humidity year round. It can get pretty cold in that room in the winter (40 or so degrees in the worst months) but still sits at 40% humidity. Projector flickers, loses brightness, and turns off throwing up over heating lights constantly. Model is BenQ Tk710. I've sent it in for a warranty repair but I don't think I did anything wrong? I have it plugged into a surge protected outlet and the AC blows in its general direction from over 10 ft away keeping it cool without blowing directly onto it. It also isn't dirty the thing is spotless inside and I keep the rooms air purified pretty decently I think. High Altitude mode seemed to help a tiny bit but would still cause it to overheat anyways. Makes me wonder if some kind of thermal heatsink or pad or paste wasn't properly applied or something? I got it in March of 2025 and it performed perfectly fine for that whole summer and the following winter. Is it possible that the cold temperatures during the winter damaged its ability to cool properly or something? It worked perfectly until recently and for some reason just started to crap out.

Any ideas on what the issue could be or did I just get unlucky and my projector for some reason is overheating and hates itself lol. Als

I genuinely do not have space inside my house, and my garage doubles as a home theater. I was wondering and looking for feedback.

- My garage currently at its lowest gets 40 degrees in the winter (maybe lower if we get a crazy storm of like 30 which is rare and last a week or two at most) During Winter temperture would range from 40-70 on most days gradually increasing while maintaining humidity of 40%. With at worst the low dropping to 30 degrees for upto a week or two.

- I have an oil heater to help keep temperatures slightly higher in this room but power outages can lead to dreaded 30 degree days. With heater on tempertures will range closer to 45-70.

- During the summer, it can get hotter in there. I estimate upto 90 degrees on the really hot days. It would normally be at 80 or below. During Summer temperture would range from 45-85 on most days, gradually increasing while maintaining a humidity of 40% With at worst peaking at 90 degrees for a few days for a few hours.

- I have an AC unit in there to help combat this but a max of 90 would only happen on the insane 100+ degree days. With it on tempertures will be closer to 45-85.

- I have a dehumidifier in the space that keeps it at a constant 40%. Year round.

Is this a safe storage environment? Just trying to keep them in good shape. Without my AC and Heater would they be fine or is it overkill?

Hey everyone, I am looking to buy broken discs of games for the playstation 2. The rarer the game the more I'll pay even though it's broken. I will not buy any sports titles sorry. I will pay more for stuff that is CIB even if the disc is broken. Take care.

Hey everyone if you have any semi-rare or popular or fun games that have broken discs please dm me. I will buy them from you.

My reason for this is the disc is essentially a license to play said game. So even if said disc is broken I can play it on an emulator legally. Working out setting up a local shop that helps people play rarer games affordably and legally!
