But actually - what do you guys think - between this pair of rough outs or a pair of 8111's that have been my daily driver casual boot for about 8 years... should the rough outs be the new work boot or the 8111's?

Are you guys using this even for your senior GSP?

Our GSP is 7 and Purina recommended switching over to the senior formula.

Section 121 Clarification - Primary > Rental > Primary. How would that work?

Wife and I bought a property in 2016 and lived in it as our primary residence until 2019 when we moved out to remodel it. It was during covid, so it took a lot longer to do than we expected, and by the time it was complete (2024) we outgrew it by a kiddo.

We placed it in service as a rental in 2024 and are waffling about keeping or selling at the end of this tenant's lease in December.

I'm reading through IRC 121 and some journals relating to the topic, and confused about this part that reads “The term ‘period of nonqualified use’ does not include any portion of the five-year period described in subsection (a) which is after the last date that such property is used as the principal residence of the taxpayer or the taxpayer’s spouse.”

Does this imply that any use as a rental, after living in it as a primary, isn't considered non-qualified use?

Purina Pro Plan Sport Adult 7+ Performance 30/17 discontinued in March 2025. Any alternatives you all would recommend?

Long time reader, first time poster. You guys all got me to finally switch to Purina Pro Plan from Taste of the Wild for our 7yo GSP.

I took the little formula finder quiz on Purina's website and it matched us up with aforementioned formula. It was listed as out of stock everywhere so I emailed Purina and they got back to me letting me know it was discontinued. They recommended the "all ages" formula as a substitute, but I thought all ages was kind of a cop out and to be avoided? That's one of the main critiques of Taste of the Wild after all.

Thoughts? Here's their response btw...

"We are sorry to inform you that our Purina® Pro Plan® Adult 7+ – Sport - Performance 30/17 - Chicken & Rice Formula Dog Food was discontinued in March 2025. We completely understand how important this food has been to both you and your dog. This was a very difficult, yet necessary decision based on extremely low sales due to a decline in consumer demand, even in areas where the product was readily available.

While we understand this news may be upsetting, Purina is still proud to provide dog food that your dog might like. We think he would enjoy our Purina® Pro Plan® brand Dog Food – Sport Performance 30/20 – Chicken & Rice Formula Dog Food as an alternative that is 100% complete and balanced for all life stages of dogs. This product optimizes oxygen metabolism (VO2 Max) and guarantees live probiotics. We encourage you to check the product page through this link to learn more: https://www.purina.com/dogs/shop/pro-plan-sport-performance-30-20-high-protein-chicken-rice-dry-dog-food"

Ten years building houses with these. Think they’re too far gone for their 4th resole?

What do you think… Is it worth sending in or should I finally lay them to rest?

Finally divorcing QuickBooks, for both personal and simple business, and moving over to Quicken 👏🏻

I'm expecting a lot of teething issues as I learn a new methodology for bookkeeping software, but stoked to be out of the clutches of Intuit. I used Quicken for personal bookkeeping back in the 2017-2019 era when it was owned by Intuit. Any significant differences in the way it operates compared to those older days? Seems like it's pretty much the same, just cloud-based.

Is this beyond a DIY repair?

Roof of my old Range Rover. This is the extent of the clear coat failure. Happened pretty rapidly over the last year. I'd love to get a full respray in the fullness of time, but right now I'm wondering what the procedure would be to perhaps use one of those 2K clear coat sprays to buy a year or two.

Is there a way to stop this from leaking? Bar oil has always weeped out and it’s finally getting annoying.

This is the second time this week it’s done this. I sent Invoice #3127 to the client but Invoice #3128 is their second payment not due until August. I set it up but just clicked “save and close” not “save and send”… like I’ve always done for the last decade. Was there some update or bug issue recently?
